Shalom. Our teaching this morning will be from Exodus 5.1-23; 6.1.
READ EXODUS 5.1-23; 6.1
There are times in our lives that the innocent suffer, but receive great rewards later on. GOD may bring good fortune to the wicked as the Pharaohs enjoyed, but their punishments accumulate for the future. GOD said to Moses in Exodus 6.1, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand, he will let them go, and with a strong hand, he will drive them out of his land”. The children of Israel left for the Promised Land, The Land of Israel not long after GOD spoke those words. And The LORD destroyed Egypt, and all Pharaoh’s armies when they pursued after the children of Israel into the divided Red Sea, only to have the ocean crash down on the Egyptians killing them all, and perhaps Pharaoh himself with them.
Pharaoh’s invicibility was temporary because he was about to experience the power of GOD’s anger. And Israel’s pain was temporary. GOD delivered them. Yes, the pain of all GOD’s special and unique children is temporary. GOD will always deliver you. GOD redeemed Israel by His might and power. The LORD GOD obtained the release of His people from 400 years of Egyptian slavery and bondage. The LORD GOD will do the same for you, His special Children. He will always have a way to release you from all pain, which is temporary. And reward you now, and in the future. Paul writes that The LORD will never give you more pain than you can handle though sometimes we don’t think we can handle it. But GOD always finds a release for us, from our pain, our fears, and our troubles.
1 Corinthians 10.13.
Such great acts of The LORD our GOD, His mercy and compassion, releasing us from all our pain and troubles should comfort us during the times we struggle through life. And that’s what I would like to address this morning, examples of people in The Bible who experienced temporary pain and anguish and troubles in their lives. But in GOD’s compassion and supernatural power, He delivered them – to great rewards later on. GOD will do the same for you. Perhaps there is a purpose for your pain, for GOD’S purpose, and for your good. GOD made Israel a great nation in Egypt. And because of the pain they suffered there, they longed for an escape to their own land, the land of Israel. GOD redeemed them. He released them and restored them in His time, and gave them the Land of Israel for an everlasting possession.
Let’s start with Israel as an example, the Jewish people. The children of Israel, as a nation of people lived in Egypt for 430 years. The last 400 years in slavery. But GOD redeemed them. And He restored them. He saved them, and He delivered them from the rigors and cruelty of Egypt, and brought them to a land GOD says, is the most glorious and beautiful of all lands, the Land of Israel. Ezekiel 20.6.
When GOD named Jacob Israel after The LORD wrestled with him til daybreak, The LORD GOD told Jacob what the name Israel means. He said, “For as a Prince, you have power with GOD and with men, and have prevailed”. Prevailed means, you are able, you endured, you have might and power, you have overcome, and you will suffer. Genesis 32.28. The same applies to all people who have joined in with Israel by loving Messiah Yeshua and live their lives lawfully, according to Torah, GOD’s Law of Moses, His instructions He gave to Israel for all the world to do. You, along with Israel, the Jewish People, have been separated from other people unto The LORD your GOD because you are Holy as GOD is Holy. Leviticus 20.24, 26. You belong to GOD. Thus, you also, now listen to this, you also as a Prince have power with GOD, and with men, and have prevailed. You are able, you will endure, you have might and power, you will overcome, and you will suffer. See the prophets of GOD, and The Disciples and Apostles of Messiah.
So The LORD brought the children of Israel to the Promised Land, The Land of Israel, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands. But some 600 years later, because of their disobedience to The LORD their GOD, The LORD exiled the northern kingdom of Israel which borders extended to Damascus, and sent them into captivity to Assyrian lands. That was in 722 B.C.E./B.C. when the northern kingdom of Israel was destroyed by the Assyrians because of Israel’s disobedience to GOD.
136 years later, in 586 B.C.E./B.C., and for the same reason, disobedience to The LORD their GOD, The LORD GOD sent the Babylonian armies to destroy Jerusalem, the Temple, the royal palace, and they set the city on fire, killling upwards to a million Jews, and took most of the Jewish population captive to Babylon, today’s Iraq. 70 years later, as He promised the Prophet Jeremiah, The LORD brought His People back to their own Land, The Land of Israel. Most remained in the Diaspora which is the scattering of the Jewish people outside of Israel.
In 70 C.E./A.D., GOD exiled Israel once again from their land, this time to the 4 corners of the earth, for almost 2,000 years, leaving the land desolate, and virtually empty of Jewish people. The LORD used the Romans to destroy Jerusalem and the 2nd Temple that Yeshua walked in and taught in. The Romans destroyed most of Israel after a four year battle, and they killed some one million Jews. Judgment is always because of disobedience to The GOD of Creation. But as The LORD promised in Isaiah 11.11-12, He began bringing His Jewish people back to their land after the 2nd World War in 1945, and after Hitler killed 6 million Jews in The Holocaust.
But before the Holocaust, were the Pogroms in Europe. A pogrom is an organized massacre, especially of Jews. Thousands of Jews were killed and expelled from their homes in various European countries from 1,000 to 1900 C.E./A.D. because of trumped-up charges against Jews or Judaism; later determined to be false. Other times they were the consequence of an economic situation which authorities believed would be improved if the Jews were removed from the country. Just about every major Jewish community has been expelled by its host country in Europe and the Middle East, only to be let back in again, and later expelled once more.
We have been killed and expelled from Germany, France, England, Austria, Poland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Czechoslavakia, Russia, the Papal states which were the domain of the Popes in central Italy from 755 to 1870. We have been killed and exiled from Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and other Middle Eastern countries. For GOD has put enmity between satan and Israel, between satan and the Jewish people, and between satan’s demons and Israel’s Son Messiah Yeshua, The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. For you are a holy people, The LORD said to Israel, the Jewish people, unto The LORD your GOD. The LORD your GOD has chosen you to be a special people unto Himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth, to be My witnesses, and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I AM HE. Before Me there was no GOD formed, neither shall there be after Me. Genesis 3.15, Deuteronomy 7.6, Isaiah 43.10.
But much innocent Jewish blood has been shed from The Holocaust, and the Pogroms, and from the Crusades and Inquisition. The Crusades were diligent with violence and death over centuries of military campaigns to redeem Palestine from the infidel muslims, a period of mass slaughter, forced conversions to Christianity, and suicides for th
e Jews of western and central Europe.
The crusades were designed at the Council of Clermont. Pope urban II called for war to rescue the Holy Land, Israel from Muslim infidels. As the crusaders roamed through Europe enroute to the Holy Land, they murdered entire Jewish communities, giving the Jews the choice of converting to Christianity or death. During the first crusade from 1096 to 1099, the Jews of Germany were slaughtered, killing more than 5,000 Jews. During the 2nd crusade from 1147 to 1149, all members of the Jewish community in Bios, France were burned at the stake. The 3rd crusade, from 1189 to 1192 was even more violent in England where Jews were massacred throughout the country. The same atrocities and heinous crimes continued in the 4th crusade in 1204. More Jews were massacred and expelled from their homes. Then there was the childrens’ crusade in 1212. And more crusades in 1217, and 1228, and 1248 and 1270. Mercifully they ended in 1291. 195 years of crusader death.
Then came the Inquisition. That began when Pope Gregory IX set out to combat heresy in Spain and Portugal in 1231. The results? Death, torture, expulsion, and forced conversion to Christianity to thousands of Jews in 1492. The inquisition ended in 1834. Today the Jews are in their own land, only to be threatened with annihilation by the Iranians. And the hatred of the Palestinians who live in the Land of Israel GOD gave to the Jewish people for an everlasting possession. But GOD has much to say about His people and His exceeding great anger toward her enemies.

DEUTERONOMY 30.1-10, JEREMIAH 29.11-14, JEREMIAH 31.35-37, ZEPHANIAH 3.8-20
ZECHARIAH 12.10, JOHN 14.6, ISAIAH 66.20-24, JEREMIAH 23.5-8, LUKE 1.30-33, etc.,
etc., etc.
Israel’s pain has been long, very long, and severe, but still temporary. We look forward to the time of Messiah’s return when He will bless His People in the Messianic era, known as the 1,000 year Millennium. And The LORD our GOD will bring many Jewish people, not all, but millions upon millions of Jewish People from Abraham to Messiah’s return into His Kingdom, The Millennium in Jerusalem, and eternity in Heaven. Israel’s pain is long, but temporary, for it is written, for since the beginning of the world, men have not heard; nor perceived by the ear, neither has eye seen, O GOD, beside You, what He has prepared for those that wait for Him. Isaiah 64.4.
Gentiles, especially Christianity that does not have the best reputation in Jewish history, GOD will save a remnant. Certainly Gentiles suffer pain like everyone else, but for the remnant, your pain is temporary. GOD will bless you, and He has blessed you now, and will bless you in the future, because you love His Jewish Messiah Yeshua and you lead your life according to GOD’s Torah, His Law and His Instructions. You obey The LORD your GOD. And you love and bless Jewish People. You will receive every great blessing from now and throughout eternity because GOD has chosen you to be special to Him, fully part of GOD’s chosen people. And He has separated you from other people to be Holy, that you should be His.
ISAIAH 26.2, GENESIS 12.3, MATTHEW 25.34-40
Paul suffered huge pain, but he is one of the greats in Scripture. 2 CORINTHIANS 1.8-10, 2CORINTHIANS 12.1-10
Then there is Job who was tested mightily. Why are we tested by The LORD GOD? For GOD to know what is in your heart, whether you will keep His Commandments or not. DEUTERONOMY 8.1-3
Job’s children were killed, His servants and sheep were also killed. His entire live stock stolen, but Job did not sin against The LORD His GOD. He did not disobey The LORD by breaking any of His Laws or Commandments. And yet Job was also struck with sores and boils from head to foot, but he never disobeyed GOD. And his friends came to comfort him, but rather antagonized him when he was in pain and grief. But The LORD delivered Job. As severe as his pain was, GOD comforted him, and restored him, I believe in time to joy and happiness. JOB 42.10-17
After Peter rejected Messiah three times, and I believe fell into a depression because of that, Messiah restored Peter after Yeshua’s resurrection, when Peter told The LORD He loved him, and Messiah said, “Feed My people, My sheep”. Peter, we, all agree, is a mighty man of GOD whom we will meet when we are with Messiah in Paradise.
The Prophets of GOD suffered pain. Daniel and his three friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego suffered pain. Joseph, Jacob, David, Moses, Samuel and others and of course Yeshua The Messiah Whom The Bible says, of all Whom the world was not worthy. Hebrews 11.38. But GOD delivered each and every one to much greater rewards. And don’t forget Jonah. GOD will deliver you from any temporary pain and suffering you experience.
So yes, the pains we suffer in life are temporary. The blessings that follow. Joy and rewards from The LORD our GOD, Messiah Yeshua are permanent and forever. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD has prepared for them that love Him.
Thus any pain you experience is temporary. It may well be the last darkness before the light of redemption, perhaps preparing our way for Messiah’s return, and the joy that awaits us….

DID THE GREAT ONES IN THE BIBLE OBEY THE LAW OF MOSES? EXODUS 5.1-2
Shalom. Our teaching this morning will be from Exodus 5.1-2.
Read EXODUS 5.1-2
EXODUS 5.1 So after the elders of Israel received Moses and Aaron and believed them that the GOD of their Fathers, The GOD of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob had appeared to Moses saying I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt. And GOD said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and Hittites, and the Amorites, and Perizzites, and the Hivites and the Jebusites unto a land flowing with milk and honey. Moses and Aaron then went to Pharaoh.
This is the first encounter Moses and Aaron had with Pharaoh. And they told Pharaoh, Thus saith The LORD GOD of Israel, let My people go that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.
EXODUS 5.2 And just as GOD had said to Moses at the burning bush, Pharaoh will not let you go except by a mighty Hand. EXODUS 3.19-20
Let me say this. The LORD GOD promises throughout His Word that if you will obey the Voice of The LORD your GOD, which Pharaoh did not, The LORD your GOD will bless you and set you on high, and blessings will come upon you, and overtake you, if you will obey the Voice of The LORD your GOD.
But The LORD also promises that if you will not obey the Voice of The LORD your GOD, as Pharaoh did not obey The LORD, curses will come upon you, and overtake you. This is The Word of GOD found in DEUTERONOMY 28.1-2, 15.
The Voice of The LORD GOD is His Word spoken in The Bible. So I thought we would let The Bible show us GOD’s blessings and rewards to some of the people we know well in The Scriptures who obeyed The LORD their GOD. And what happened to those who rejected the Commandments of The LORD, His Divine Law of Moses to all mankind, as Pharaoh rejected GOD’s commands.
First, some of the many who obeyed The LORD their GOD, and did what He said.
NOAH. Noah was not Jewish. God established Judaism when He took Abraham out from the Gentiles not many years after the days of Noah. Perhaps about 17 years after Noah died, and Abraham was 75, GOD called Abraham.
(NOAH) GENESIS 6.8-9 JUST – TSAH DEEK – lawful, righteous. Noah obeyed GOD, The LORD his GOD. His Sabbath on the 7th day, our Saturday, GOD’s food laws, GENESIS 7.1-2, and all the other Laws of GOD in his day. GOD saved Noah and his family from the flood, 8 persons in all, while the rest of humanity perished. And all the peoples of the world come from Noah’s 3 sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth and their wives.
PERFECT – TAH MEEM – entire, without blemish, truth, complete, full and perfect, undefiled, upright and whole. Meaning Noah loved GOD, and obeyed Him. Every Word He spoke. And Noah led his life in love. As Paul taught, love ties everything together in perfectness.
ABRAHAM obeyed GOD. GENESIS 26.1-5
And GOD blessed Abraham mightily. GENESIS 12.1-3
JACOB obeyed The LORD his GOD. GENESIS 35.1-5
(Genesis 35.2&4) A word or two on idols.
1. It is forbidden to believe in idols.
2. It is forbidden to make or possess them.
3. It is forbidden to worship them.
4. All images made for worship are forbidden.
5. An idol of The LORD is forbidden.
EXODUS 20.4-6, DEUTERONOMY 4.23, 1 CHRONICLES 16.26
(Exodus 20.6) COMMANDMENTS – MITS VOTE – commands of GOD, collectively The Law of Moses.
GOD made Jacob the father of Judaism along with Abraham and Isaac. All Israel descends from Jacob and his 12 sons. Jacob obeyed the Voice of The LORD his GOD. In fact, The LORD is known as The GOD of Jacob, The Mighty GOD of Jacob. GENESIS 49.24 And GOD named Jacob Israel.
MOSES – because of his obedience and faithfulness to The LORD GOD, Moses is considered by many to be the greatest of all Prophets. Yeshua is GOD, and Moses is compared to Yeshua. HEBREWS 3.1-5
Moses’ legacy is a man of true greatness. He was precious in the sight of The LORD GOD.
EXODUS 33.12-17
(Exodus 33.17) You have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name. That is, you have gained My favor, My kindness. I am pleased with you, I look favorably upon you, and you are precious in My sight. And I know you by name. Why? Because Moses was faithful to GOD, and obeyed Him.
ISRAEL, THE JEWISH PEOPLE have generally obeyed GOD, though we have failed many times.
PSALM 99.1-9
(Psalm 99.7) Testimonies and ordinance. His Laws and Decrees; we have been His witnesses to the world revealing the One GOD and Messiah, and The Word of GOD to all mankind.
ROMANS 9.1-5, ISAIAH 66.22, ETC.
YESHUA (JESUS) obeyed GOD AND HIS LAW OF MOSES always. MATTHEW 3.13-15
Then Yeshua answering said to him, let it be this way now, FOR THUS IT BECOMES US TO PERFORM ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. Then John let Him be baptized.
Righteousness means doing what GOD commands us to do, making us right with GOD by obeying Him. Yeshua obeyed GOD, His Word, His Commandments, and His Law of Moses, and never came to abolish The Law, but to complete it. Now The Law is COMPLETE WITH YESHUA, having all that GOD ordained for His Law. Yeshua is fully part of The Law of Moses.
Even during the most trying of times, Yeshua obeyed GOD.
MATTHEW 26.39, JOHN 4.34 WILL – Thel ay mah; decree, law
JOHN THE BAPTIZER obeyed every Word of GOD, from The Law and The Prophets. ACTS 19.4
Repentance is turning from your sins. Sin is breaking The Law of Moses, 1 John 3.4. Then turning to GOD, doing that which is lawful and right according to GOD’s Law of Moses. John The Baptist obeyed GOD. He did that which was lawful and right.
ZACHARIAS and his wife ELIZABETH, the parents of John the Baptizer obeyed GOD.
LUKE 1.5-7, 57-64
The course of Abia is a division of the priesthood.
JOHN is YO KHAH NAN. In Hebrew meaning GOD of mercy, GOD of kindness.
SIMEON obeyed GOD LUKE 2.25-32
JUST – righteous, Law-abiding
DEVOUT – GODLY and HOLY
JOSEPH, Miriam’s (Mary’s) Husband, was a just and righteous man. MATTHEW 1.18-21 who obeyed GOD.
MIRIAM was highly favored of The LORD, a virgin who no doubt obeyed The LORD her GOD.
LUKE 1.26-33
VERSE 26 the 6th month is Elul, around August.
MATTHEW – followed and obeyed Messiah. Following Yeshua is obeying Him, and being like Him. And following and obeying Yeshua is the same as following and obeying GOD. Yeshua is GOD. MATTHEW 9.9
Matthew was an Apostle. In Hebrew Sheh-lee-akh – an ambassador of Messiah, one sent out by Messiah to teach and preach the good news of Messiah. ACTS 1.12-14
SIMON, who is PETER, and ANDREW his Brother followed Messiah, and obeyed GOD, as did JAMES and his Brother JOHN. They all obeyed GOD, and also became Apostles of The LORD.
MARK 1.16-20, ACTS 1.13
ALL MESSIAH’S APOSTLE’S obeyed every Word The LORD spoke, and not only did The LORD make them Apostles, their names are in the 12 foundations of the wall of the City New Jerusalem in Heaven.
JOHN 17.6, REVELATION 21.14
As are the names of the 12 tribes of the children of Israel. Their names are written on the 12 gates of the wall in New Jerusalem. REVELATION 21.10-12
CORNELIUS, an Italian, not Jewish, a captain of 100 men, obeyed GOD, His Law and Commandments, and he was saved, and those which heard the words of Peter were saved. ACTS 10.1-6, 9-15
(This vision is not about things not to eat, but it is a parable in a vision that GOD will save Gentiles also.)
ACTS 10.22, 34-35, 44-48
Their reward and blessing for obeying GOD, and doing what He says? GOD SAVED THEM.
VERSE 35 Works of righteousness is or are doing the will of GOD, being obedient and Law-abiding, obeying The Law of Moses, and loving Jewish people, and is accepted with GOD.
PAUL obeyed GOD, every Word of GOD. He obeyed His Law of Moses and NEVER taught that GOD’s Torah is dead, or abolished.
ACTS 24.14, ACTS 20.17-21
The repentance Paul taught is from EZEKIEL 18.21-22. Repent means turn to GOD and obey Him, His Law.
And Paul taught obedience to Torah. ROMANS 3.31
Paul writes that love is the bond of perfectness.
COLOSIANS 3.14
Love binds and unites everything together perfectly. Love binds together GOD’s Word, His Commandments, and His Law of Moses, and US perfectly together with GOD. Doing GOD’s will with love. Obeying The LORD our GOD with love. Loving others. That is perfection. That is how we are to love Messiah, obeying GOD in love, and loving others – because without love, we are nothing.
1 CORINTHIANS 13.1-2
But not obeying the Voice of The LORD your GOD, as Pharaoh did not obey GOD, brings curses upon the individual. Disobeying GOD is sin, and it is a disease, because The Bible says, and with His stripes we are healed, Isaiah 53.5.
We are dead to sins, meaning we no longer live our lives in sin. Why? Because when you came to faith in Yeshua, GOD put His Law, that is His Torah, His Law of Moses in your inward parts, and wrote it in your hearts, TO OBEY HIM, JEREMIAH 31.31-34. Thus when you believe in Yeshua, and obey Torah, His Law of Moses, GOD has healed you from the sickness of sin that causes disease and bad health. Sin is breaking The Torah, The Law of Moses, 1 JOHN 3.4
GOD curses those who reject His Law, The Torah, The Law of Moses, and blesses those who obey him.
PROVERBS 8.32-36, PROVERBS 1.33, PROVERBS 3.1-10
So in conclusion. Pharaoh disobeyed GOD and look what his stubborness did for him. GOD destroyed Egypt, and killed his entire army in the sea. So when The LORD speaks to you in Scripture, that is His Word, His Law and His Commandments. Listen to what He says, and do it. Thus The LORD your GOD says to you, in love, It will come to pass, if you will diligently obey the Voice of The LORD your GOD, to observe and do all His Commandments which He commands you, that The LORD your GOD will set you on high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings will come upon you, and overtake you, if you will obey The Voice of The LORD your GOD, His Word, His Commandments, and His Law of Moses. So yes, all the great ones, everyone of them obeyed the Lord their God. And the Lord blessed them mightily. So will He do the same for you, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, and do all His Commandments, His Law of Moses which He commands you to do.

THE PASSOVER MESSAGE 2012
Shalom.
Our teaching this morning will be about Passover. Today is the first day of Passover which is a 7 day Festival of The LORD. Passover honors the time when The LORD GOD freed the children of Israel from 400 years of slavery in Egypt some 3,380 years ago, and brought them out by the hand of Moses, to bring them up to the promised land, Eretz Y’Israel, The Land of Israel.
Some 1,380 years after the Exodus, and after the first Passover, the Apostle Paul compared the Messiah Yeshua with GOD’s Passover Lamb by writing, “For even Messiah our Passover is sacrificed for us”. Why? Because as The LORD GOD freed the children of Israel from 400 years of Egyptian bondage and slavery, Yeshua The Messiah frees us from the bondage and slavery of sin. John describes sin as breaking and violating GOD’s Law of Moses. 1 CORINTHIANS 5.7 and 1 JOHN 3.4
The 12th Chapter of Exodus tells of the children of Israel’s preparation for and their Exodus out of Egypt. And many of the events are told during the Passover Seder. Christianity calls the Passover Seder that Yeshua led, the last supper. The Exodus, or the Passover story is retold every year during Passover in most Jewish homes and synagogues. Because The LORD said, it is a night to be much observed unto The LORD forever for bringing the children of Israel out from the land of Egypt.
READ EXODUS 12
The LORD’s Passover brought an end to 400 years of Jewish slavery and bondage in Egypt. The LORD GOD Himself delivered, and freed His people, some 3,000,000 Jewish people and a mixed multitude with them. The mixed multitude was a mingled people of non-Jewish of Hebrew faith who were not of Israel, but joined in with the children of Israel.
The LORD GOD had commanded the children of Israel to sacrifice a lamb that was perfect, without blemish. A Passover lamb for every household. For The LORD had said, on the 14th day of this month, the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill the lamb in the evening. And you shall take of its blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the top of the doorframes of their houses where they eat the lamb, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
Last night was the evening of the 14th day of the Hebrew month Nisan. The same night, some 3,380 years ago when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel killed the Passover Lamb in the evening. It was a command of The LORD our GOD.
Those words of GOD, of which He said, the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill the Passover Lamb on the evening of the 14th day were also prophetic for the sacrificial death of The Messiah Yeshua, our Passover Lamb. He was sentenced to death on the evening of the 14th day, and killed the following day, the first day of Passover, which would be today.
On the evening of the Passover, the 14th day of the month, immediately after their Passover Seder, Yeshua went with His Disciples to the Mount of Olives to a place called Gethsemane. And Judas Iscariot betrayed Him. He came with a large crowd carrying swords and clubs, and they took Messiah and put Him on trial on Passover eve, the evening of the 14th day, before Caiphas, the High Priest, and the scribes, and the elders of Israel. And He was sentenced to death on the evening of the 14th day, which would have been last night. It happened this way. When He told those assembled after He was asked by Caiphas the High Priest, I charge you under oath by the living GOD that You tell us whether You are The Messiah, The Son of GOD? And Yeshua said to him, “you have said. Nevertheless I say unto you, one day in the future, you shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of Heaven”. Then the High Priest tore his robe, and said, He has spoken blasphemy. What further need have we of witnesses? You now have heard His blasphemy. What do you think? What is your verdict? And they answered. He is guilty of death.
Thus the prophecy was fulfilled. The whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill the Passover Lamb in the evening of the 14th day. Yeshua was sentenced to death for a crime He never committed, because He IS The Messiah, The Son of GOD. He was sentenced to death on the evening of the 14th day, the evening of Passover. And GOD’s Passover Lamb, Yeshua The Messiah was killed the following day, which would be today, some 2,000 years later. Because GOD ordained His atoning death for the sins of many. Yeshua became our offering for sin just as The LORD GOD determined it. MATTHEW 26.57-66
Yeshua was put to death, not by the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel, but by the Jewish people known as the Sanhedrin, the High Court, or the Jewish Court that held supreme religious, policial, judicial, and legislative authority in Israel during the Roman period, and during the days of Yeshua. They stood for the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel. Our Passover Lamb, Yeshua The Messiah, was killed on the first day of Passover. Today is the first day of Passover. Our Messiah is GOD’s sacrifice for the sins of His people forever, just as The LORD GOD decreed it, exactly to the day The LORD ordained it.
The resurrection of Messiah is also prophesied by The LORD our GOD during the seven day Passover Festival. Yeshua was raised on Sunday, the day after the Sabbath on Saturday. That prophecy is found in Leviticus 23.
LEVITICUS 23.5-11 (Verse 11)
SHEAF – OMEHR – a measure of the new barley harvest.
WAVE – this is symbolic of the resurrection of Messiah.
WAVE – NOOF – means to wave up and down. Yeshua rose from the dead, and 40 days later ascended into Heaven. And at some future day, He will return and come down to us, with all His Saints to start the Messianic era, the 1,000 year Millennium in Israel. I believe Leviticus 23.11 is prophetic of Messiah’s resurrection after the Sabbath.
It happened this way:
WEDNESDAY EVENING – on the evening of the 14th day, He held the Passover Seder with His disciples, and was sentenced to death by trial.
THURSDAY – the following day, the first day of Passover – He was killed. 1 day, 1 night in the grave.
FRIDAY – 1 day and 1 night in the grave
SATURDAY SABBATH – 1 day, 1 night in the grave. A total of 3 days and 3 nights in the grave.
ON SUNDAY, the day after the Sabbath, sometime after sundown on Saturday, Yeshua was resurrected
exactly as The LORD prophesied. He was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights.
MATTHEW 12.38-40, MARK 16.9
Many of the sacrifices, or portions of the sacrifice were waved in the times of T’Nakh, Old Testament times after the animal was killed. Perhaps prophetic of Messiah’s resurrection after His death. Messiah’s resurrection is our hope and expectation that we also who will have died in Messiah, will also be resurrected at His coming and transformed into the likeness of Messiah’s resurrected body. ROMANS 6.5, LEVITICUS 9.21, LEVITICUS 10.15, LEVITICUS 14.12, ETC.
Thus it was the blood of the sacrificed Passover Lamb that was killed at every Jewish house in Egypt that freed the children of Israel from destruction, and delivered them from the bondage of slavery. Today, it is the shed blood of our sacrificed Passover Lamb, Yeshua The Messiah that frees us from the bondage of sin, and the slavery of living in it. For The LORD says, whosoever has sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My Book of Life. And The LORD GOD also says, it is the blood tha
t makes atonement for the soul. Yeshua is The Salvation of the world for all who believe in Him according to The Scriptures. EXODUS 32.33, LEVITICUS 17.11, 8-9
So how is that accomplished? How are we set free from the bondage of our sins? First by believing in Messiah Yeshua. The LORD GOD will forgive you your sins, and remember them no more. That is found in Jeremiah 31.31-34, GOD’s prophecy of the coming New Covenant, or the New Testament. At the very moment of faith in Messiah, GOD puts His Law in our inward parts, and writes it in our hearts, thus giving us the power by His Holy Spirit to live a GODly and Holy life pleasing to The LORD your GOD by obeying His Torah, GOD’s Law, The Law of Moses.
That is how we are set free from the bondage of our sins. First, by believing in Messiah Yeshua, your sins are forgiven and never remembered again by The LORD your GOD. Then step number 2 is obeying GOD’s Torah, living your life by GOD’s Law of Moses. Thus you please GOD in righteousness and lead a GODly and Holy life in obedience to The GOD of Creation, Yeshua Ha Mashiakh, Yeshua The Messiah. That makes us free indeed from our sins, which is the transgression of GOD’s Law. And free from death in hell. That is the formula for eternal life written in The Scriptures both in the Old and New Testaments.
1 JOHN 5.3, 1 JOHN 2.6, 1 PETER 4.1-2, 1 PETER 2.6-10,
1 PETER 1.15-16, EPHESIANS 4.23-24, ROMANS 6.19
Righteousness is being right with GOD. That is accomplished by believing in Messiah, and obeying Torah. There is no respect of persons with GOD. Whether you are Jewish or not Jewish, GOD commands you to obey Him, His One Law, The Law of Moses, for your good.
(Romans 6.19) INIQUITY – ANOMIA – violation of The Law of Moses, transgression of The Law of Moses, breaking The Law of Moses, lawlessness, wickedness.
What is the difference between Yeshua The Messiah and GOD Almighty? The answer. Nothing. Yeshua is GOD; The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father, (Isaiah 9.6(5), John 14.9. And Yeshua Who is GOD, is The Holy Spirit. There is only ONE GOD. Yeshua is that ONE GOD.
When The LORD GOD came to this earth some 2,000 years ago in the person of Messiah Yeshua, He came as a Man, a human being. Yet He was still GOD. Yeshua then was both GOD and Man. As a human being, Yeshua could die for our sins, and He did. GOD certainly could not die, never, or be killed. But a man can die, and be killed to be our atoning Sacrifice for our sins. That was the primary mission for Yeshua The Messiah, GOD Almighty, to give His life for us as an atoning Sacrifice for our sins, for a special people to spend eternity with Him forever, and see His Glory always.
Yeshua is GOD Almighty, The GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, The GOD of Israel, The GOD of Creation. And GOD in the Person of a human being, gave His life for you and me to forgive us our sins forever. No other Sacrifice but The LORD GOD Himself, Yeshua ha Mashiakh would be sufficient. That is the only way we can stand in the presence of GOD. By having our sins forgiven. Messiah gave His life for us. Our Passover Lamb, The Lamb of GOD, Who shed His blood for us so we can spend eternity with Him in Heaven where there is no sin, or curse, no death, or pain, no sorrow, or crying. That is how much GOD loves you, and Messiah is the ONE GOD of Creation.
So, doesn’t it make sense if you say, I love Yeshua, or I love Jesus, that you obey His Commandments, which are The Law of Moses, the Biblical Law that Messiah gave to Israel, and to you for your good. And they are not difficult.

GOD LOOKS UPON YOUR AFFLICTIONS, AND WILL ALWAYS DELIVER YOU. EXODUS 4.22-31
Shalom. Our study this morning will be from Exodus 4.22-31
EXODUS 4.22-23 Last week our study was focused on these two verses, and we learned the great importance of The LORD GOD establishing Israel, the Jewish peopie, as His firstborn son. The serious importance is not only that GOD has a special relationship with Israel, but also Yeshua teaches in John 4.22, “Salvation is from the Jews”. Salvation is from the Jews means, GOD’s only begotten firstborn Son, Yeshua is given to Israel, the Jewish people for Israel, and all the world for Salvation, for the forgiveness of our sins. And GOD gave His wonderful Law, The Law of Moses to Israel, the Jewish people, for Israel, and all mankind to live by. Thus making a GODLY and Holy people unto The LORD, a special people unto Himself above all people that are upon the face of the earth. Therefore, Salvation is from the Jews.
This great Salvation of The LORD is given to everyone by grace, to those who believe in the Jewish Messiah Yeshua. That is the New Covenant, or the New Testament that atones for our sins. GOD, at the moment of faith, puts His Law of Moses in our inward parts, that is, in our hearts and our thoughts, and writes His Law in our hearts. And GOD becomes our GOD, and we become His People. This Covenant is for Jewish people, and non-Jewish people alike. See Jeremiah 31.31-34
So then, what must we do? GOD requires you to fear The LORD your GOD, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and serve The LORD your GOD with all your heart, and with all your soul, and to keep The Law of Moses, which The LORD your GOD commands you for your good. And The LORD will forgive your iniquity, and remember your sins no more. That is The New Covenant, or The New Testament Who is Yeshua that GOD gave to the Jewish people. You will find that written in Jeremiah 31.31-34 some 700 years before the birth of Messiah.
EXODUS 4.24 Yes, The LORD met Moses on the way to Egypt in the inn, and sought to kill him. Why?
EXODUS 4.25 Why did The LORD seek to kill Moses? Because Moses did not circumcise one of his sons. It is a commandment of GOD found in Genesis 17.
EXODUS 4.26 So because of this matter, Zipporah called Moses a bloody husband. I don’t know exactly what Zipporah meant by calling Moses a bloody husband, but Zipporah is never mentioined again in The Bible after EXODUS 18.1-6.
But later in the book of Numbers, Moses has a new wife. He married an Ethiopian woman. Zipporah was a Midianite. Their ancestor was Abraham. She, Zipporah, was not Ethiopian. So what happened to Zipporah? The Bible does not tell us. Did she die? I don’t know, but I doubt very much that Moses had two wives. That is never mentioned in The Scriptures. NUMBERS 12.1, EPHESIANS 5.33
(Ephesians 5.33) REVERENCE her husband – Means to respect him. Reverence is described in Webster’s dictionary as having a deep respect for someone, here your husband. Respect means to esteem and honor your husband.
BACK TO
EXODUS 4.27 So Aaron met Moses in the wilderness at the Mount of GOD, which is Horeb, Mt. Sinai.
EXODUS 4.28 SIGNS – OHTOTE – miracles, signs and wonders.
EXODUS 4.29 So Moses did as GOD commanded him after refusing The LORD a number of times at the burning bush. EXODUS 3.16-18
EXODUS 4.30-31 And Moses and Aaron did exactly what GOD told Moses. Aaron spoke for Moses because he was so insecure about his ability to speak properly. Aaron speaking for Moses did not last long. And Moses did the miracles in the sight of the people.
EXODUS 4.1-10 The people believed Moses after they saw the miracles.
There is something very special in EXODUS 3.18 which GOD told Moses, The elders of Israel will listen to you, and do what you say. GOD’s Word has the force of Law. GOD’s Word is His Law. He does what He says. Not some of the times, but all the time.
ISAIAH 46.10-11
COUNSEL – AY STAH – Purpose, GOD’s intention. His plan. GOD will bring it to pass, and do it.
ISAIAH 55.11 GOD’s Word accomplishes what He desires, it will succeed in what He sent it to do.
So it is important to believe every Word of GOD spoken in The Bible, and do everything He says.
2 CHRONICLES 20.20 BELIEVE – AH MAHN – BELIEVE in The LORD. TRUST Him, RELY on GOD, be CONFIDENT in Him, EXPECT what He says, TRUST in The LORD, always.
So shall you be established. ESTABLISHED is also AH MAHN – Established means stedfast, i.e., your faith in GOD will be unwavering when you believe and trust Him. Established means being strong and firm in The LORD.
PROSPER – TSAH LAKH – Means you will succeed and prosper. Things will go well when you believe in The LORD, trust Him, and do what He says. So it is important to believe every word of GOD, and do what He says.
BACK TO
EXODUS 4.31 GOD looked upon their affliction.
AFFLICTION – AHN YAM – Afflictions, miseries, troubles
The LORD will look upon your afflictions also. That is His Word, and His promise. And He will always deliver you. PSALM 34.19
GOD is always looking over you, and protecting you, because He loves you. The true GODLY Believers in Messiah are a remnant, a people who believe in Messiah, and obey Torah, The Law of Moses. We are few, as in many are called, but few are chosen. And GOD loves you more than you know. He loves you as much as He loves His Son Yeshua. And there is a special verse for GOD’s special people. JOHN 17.6 & 23 Verse 23 is that special Verse.
VERSE 6 They, the people whom GOD gave to Yeshua, kept GOD’s Word. They obeyed His Word, His Commandments, and His Torah, The Law of Moses.
VERSE 23 I in them, and you in Me. Meaning, we in Messiah who keep GOD’s Word, have The Holy Spirit in us. Yeshua and The Father are One and the same. They are The Holy Spirit. And we have The Holy Spirit because we keep GOD’s Word. We obey Him. Acts 5.32
BACK TO
JOHN 17.23 That they may be made perfect in One.
PERFECT – TEL-I-O-O Means perfect. Perfect with GOD means thorough and complete. And perfect means conforming absolutely to GOD’s wishes. Meaning, you believe in Messiah Yeshua, and you obey GOD’s Laws and Commandments, The Law of Moses. You are perfect in the eyes of GOD conforming, or accepting to absolutely do His Will.
Thus we are made perfect in One. We are made perfect by GOD. We are perfect in our faith in Messiah, and we obey GOD. All His people are One in GOD.
And GOD loves you as much as He loves His Son. And His Son is GOD. Not another GOD, but the One GOD of Creation. Yeshua The Messiah is Elohim, El Shaddai, The Father. And GOD loves you as much as He loves Himself. I know that is impossible to grasp, but these words are the words of GOD. Believe them. GOD loves you as much as He loves His Son Yeshua, and GOD will always look upon your afflictions, and troubles, and He will always deliver you to safety and peace, always.
GOD sent Joseph, Jacob’s son into Egypt by having his brothers hate him. GOD had made a promise to Abraham years earlier that he would make of Abraham, or from Abraham, a great nation. That great nation is Israel. And so many demonic plans were conceived by the enemies of the children of Israel to kill them and cause Israel to be extinct. It still goes on today.&nbs
p; From Pharaoh wanting to kill all the newborn Hebrew male children, to the severe slave labor placed upon the children of Israel by the Egyptians, to the nations that desperately sought to kill Israel as they came out of Egypt in the Exodus. But GOD destroyed all the enemies of Israel. He looked upon their afflictions, and delivered them. And GOD will always deliver Israel. And GOD will always deliver you from all your afflictions because He loves you as much as He loves His Son. And like Israel, Yeshua is GOD’s firstborn Son.
Here is a verse of Scripture that is shocking, but true. It’s The Word of GOD.
AMOS 3.6 Should there be evil in a city, and The LORD has not done it? Or, when disaster comes to a city, has not The LORD caused it? GOD brings evil everwhere upon this earth. Evil comes from the Hebrew word rah meaning evil, bad, calamity, distress, hateful, misery, sorrow, trouble, wickedness, etc., etc., etc. And the reason GOD brings evil into this world is because mankind has transgressed the Laws, changed the ordinance, and broken the everlasting Covenant of GOD, Isaiah 24.5. More simply said, most every human being on earth disobeys GOD and think they are doing good. But GOD will always protect you because He loves you. You love Messiah, and obey GOD. You obey His Laws. And The LORD will always look upon your afflictions, and care for you as He cares for His firstborn Son.
Daniel the Prophet was a man who loved GOD. And he proved it by obeying Him. And GOD saved him and delivered him when GOD brought evil upon Israel. Yes, because of Israel’s great disobedience to GOD. But GOD promises every human being on earth, that if he or she hears His Voice from The Scriptures, and does what He says, GOD will deliver you in your affliction. That is His Promise. As Yeshua says, he who has ears to hear, let him hear.
GOD delivered Daniel, and many others when He sent the Babylonian army into Jerusalem in 586 B.C.E./B.C. to destroy Judah, Southern Israel, and the Temple of GOD, and the palaces, and houses, and the wall, and murdered upwards to 1,000,000 Jews. But GOD looked upon Daniel and others, and delivered them. Daniel was taken into Babylon as a captive with others, for GOD’s purpose. GOD looks upon you, and will deliver you in all your troubles, if you obey Him and do what He says. That is the promise of GOD. That is His Word. And that is His Law.
DANIEL 1.1-2 The LORD gave Jerusalem into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, and he besieged it.
BESIEGED IT – He laid seige to Jerusalem, surrounded it with his armies, and destroyed it. All because of Israel’s disobedience to their GOD, to His Law and His Commandments.
2 CHRONICLES 36.16-21 The Babylonian seige of Jerusalem.
But GOD saved Daniel and others from all that carnage because Daniel, and others obeyed GOD. They did what GOD said, in Israel and in the exile in Babylon where GOD sent His People for 70 years. And Daniel was raised to prominence in the courts of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, by The Hand of GOD. GOD gave Daniel the gift of interpreting dreams. Nebuchadnezzar had a dream about a collosal statue symbolizing the rise of four pagan kingdoms; Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece and the 4th kingdom is yet unknown, a mystery. In Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the 4th pagan kingdom, all were in the form of a beast, was dreadful and terrible, and exceeding strong. And it had great iron teeth, and it destroyed, and was diferent from all the beasts that were before it. And it had 10 horns to do the work of satan. And it will devour the whole earth, and tread it down, and break it in pieces. But GOD will consume it, and destory it to the end. But GOD’s Kingdom will be given over to the Holy People of the Most High GOD Whose Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and all dominions will serve and obey GOD, GOD The Messiah, Yeshua Ha Mashiakh. Daniel interpreted the King’s dream.
And Daniel was involved in other miracles of GOD. The miracle of the blazing furnace, GOD turning Nebuchadnezzar into a wild animal, the king’s punishment of insanity because of his sin, his disobedience against GOD. Yet GOD restored the king, and Nebuchadnezzar blessed The Most High, and praised and honored Him that lives forever.
Daniel’s interpretation of the handwriting on the wall, the fall of Babylon into the hands of another pagan empire, Persia, today’s Iran. The miracle of the lion’s den when Daniel was tossed into it and came out untouched because GOD closed their mouths. But those who accused him were tossed into the den of lions and were torn to pieces. The Lord protected and delivered Daniel. He will doo the same for you.
And GOD sent His angel Gabriel to Daniel, to tell him the time of the Messiah’s first coming, His death, and following His death, the destruction of the second Temple, the 7 year peace treaty that will be broken in the middle of the 7 years, the sacrifice at the Temple will cease, and the great tribulation that will follow bringing this world to an end as we know it. And Messiah’s return to make reconciliation for iniquity, and bring in everlasting righteousness, making an end of sins. The Lord has extraordinary and wonderful missions for those who fear God, and keep His commandments, as Daniel did.
I’m not saying to you that you will interpret dreams. Maybe you will. Maybe you do. Or come out of a lion’s den unscathed, or from a fiery furnace untouched. But yes, you have been in those fiery situations before, but GOD has delivered you, and He will deliver you.
JOHN 14.12 Greater works than what Yeshua did? Who knows what those greater works are. But leading people to The Truth, when satan has taught them the lie, and leading them to Salvation, eternal Life. What work can be greater than that?
JOHN 14.13-18 All because you love Messiah, and obey GOD Who is Messiah (verse 15) Remember, Messiah is GOD, Elohim, Adonoy, The GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I AM. He is The Lawgiver Who gave The Law to Moses to give to Israel to give to all mankind.
So, in conclusion, Yeshua is GOD’s firstborn Son. And Israel is also GOD’s firstborn son. And when you join in with Israel, and do what GOD says, what He commands Israel to do, you also, with Israel, become GOD’s firstborn son. The LORD will always watch over you, and protect you and deliver you from all your afflictions, because He loves you, even as much as His Son.
