Shalom.

Our Teaching this morning from Torah, The Law of Moses will continue from Numbers 31.19-24.  And we will also complete the Chapter.

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, THE WEALTH OF THE SINNER IS LAID UP FOR THE RIGHTEOUS.

And with that said, let’s read Numbers 31.19-24.

There was a Divine Command by The LORD GOD to punish and kill the Midianites because the Midianites led the Children of Israel into sinful abominations.

The Midianites seduced Israel into idol worship, fornication, witchcraft and no doubt a whole lot more of their homegrown sin.

And the results of the sins of Midian and Israel were of tragic proportion.

Because of Israel’s sin, GOD plagued His People, and 24,000 of the Children of Israel died.  NUMBERS 25.9

Sin is breaking The Law of Moses and violating The Word of GOD.

Or as GOD says, Because they have despised The Word of The LORD and have broken His Commandment.  NUMBERS 15.15-16, 29-31, 1 JOHN 3.4

And because of the sins of the Midianites, GOD Commanded Moses to send the Children of Israel to war against the Midianites.

And Israel killed all the Midianite males.  And they killed the Kings of Midian, and Balaam because he caused the Children of Israel to sin against The LORD Their GOD through his teachings.

And the Children of Israel took all the Midianite women captives.

But The Children of Israel were commanded by Moses to kill all the Midianite women that had known any man, because through the counsel of Balaam, those women caused the Children of Israel to sin by joining themselves to the false god baal-peor by bowing down to the idol and worshiping it.

But of all the women children captives that had not known a man by lying with him, they were kept alive for the People of Israel.

Also Moses commanded the Children of Israel to kill every male of the little ones of the captives because they would grow up and continue to cause Israel to sin against The LORD Their GOD.

Also the Children of Israel seized all their cattle, and all their flocks and all their goods.  And they burned all their cities where they lived, and all their castles.

ALL THESE TRAGEDIES BECAUSE OF SIN, DESPISING THE WORD OF THE LORD AND BREAKING GOD’S COMMANDMENTS.  NUMBERS 31.1-18   

NUMBERS 31.19  This is part of Torah, The Law of Moses. Those of the Israeli Army who killed any person, and whosoever touched any dead person were commanded by Moses to stay outside the camp for seven days.  To purify themselves on the third day and on the seventh day.  That applied to both the Israeli Army and their captives.

NUMBERS 31.20  They were commanded to purify all their clothing, and all that were made of skins, and everything of goat’s hair, and all things of wood.

NUMBERS 31.21  And Eleazar the Priest told the Israeli men of war, This is the Ordinance of The Law, The Torah that is The Law of Moses that The LORD Commanded Moses.

And the Law of Purification is written in NUMBERS 19.1-22.

Here is how the Law of Purification works.

The Children of Israel brought a red heifer, that is a red cow without spot, and without blemish that never had a yoke on it.  It never worked in the field.

And the heifer was given to the Priest, and the Priest brought it outside the camp.  And the heifer was killed in the presence of the Priest.

And the Priest took of the heifer’s blood with his finger, and sprinkled the blood directly before the Tabernacle or the Temple seven times.

And the heifer was burned in the presence of the Priest.  Her skin, her flesh, and her blood with its dung.

And the Priest took cedar wood, and hysop, and scarlet, and tossed it into the burning heifer.

And the Priest washed his clothes, and he bathed in fresh water.  And afterward he came into the camp.  And he was unclean, that is he was defiled until the evening.

And a man that was clean, who had no contact with a corpse, gathered up the ashes of the heifer and placed them outside the camp in a pure place.  And it was kept for the Congregation of the Children of Israel for a water of separation for the purification of sin.

It is sin to touch a corpse.

And the one who gathered the ashes of the heifer washed his clothes, and was unclean until the evening.

And the water of separation for the purification of sin is for the Children of Israel and the Stranger who lived among the People.  And this Statute is forever.

The person who touched the body of a dead person was unclean for seven days.

That person, according to Law, must purify himself or herself with the water of separation for the purification of sin on the third day.  And on the seventh day that person was clean.

But if that person did not purify himself or herself on the third day, that person remained unclean.

WHOSOEVER TOUCHED THE DEAD BODY OF ANY PERSON AND DID NOT PURIFY HIMSELF, DEFILED THE TABERNACLE OR THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD.  AND THAT PERSON WAS CUT OFF FROM ISRAEL.  BECAUSE THE WATER OF SEPARATION FOR PURIFICATION WAS NOT SPRINKLED UPON HIM.  HE WAS UNCLEAN.  HIS UNCLEANNESS REMAINED UPON HIM.

This is Law.  When a man died in a tent, or a house, all that came into the tent or the house, and all that were in the tent or the house were unclean seven days.

And every open vessel that had no cover on it was unclean. And whoever touched one that was killed in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave was unclean seven days.

And for the unclean person who was defiled by touching a dead body, they took the ashes of the burnt heifer for purification of sin.  And put some of the ashes in a vessel. And running water was poured into the vessel.  And a clean person who had not touched a dead corpse took hysop and dipped it into the water and sprinkled it upon the person or persons who touched a dead corpse, and on the tent or home, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons who were there in the tent or house, and upon any person who touched a bone of a dead person, or touched one who was killed, or who touched a grave.

And the clean person sprinkled the water of purification on the unclean person on the third day, and on the seventh day. Thus cleansing him or her on the seventh day.  Then the person being cleansed washed his clothes, and bathed himself in water, and was clean at evening.

But the person that remained unclean and did not purify himself or herself, that person was cut off from among the Congregation because he or she defiled the Sanctuary or the Temple of The LORD.  The water of purification was not sprinkled upon him or her.  That person remained unclean.

This Law is a perpetual Statute for the Jewish People, and the Stranger among them that he that sprinkles the water of purification must wash his clothes.  And he that touches the water of purification is unclean until evening.

And whatever the unclean person touches is unclean, and the person that touches it is unclean until evening.

That is the Law of Purification that Moses Commanded everyone in The Israeli Army who killed any person, or whoever touched a dead person.  And the captives also were to be purified on the third day and on the seventh day also.

However like the animal sacrifice, without the Temple and the Priesthood, I believe this Law of Purification has temporarily come to an end until the building of the Third Temple in Jerusalem and the reinstatement of the Priesthood.

NUMBERS 31.22-23  And of the spoil, that is all the goods and valuables that the Israeli Army seized during the battle, every article that was able to withstand fire went through the fire to be clean.  And then the article was cleansed with the water of purification.

And everything that was not able to withstand fire went through the water of purification.

NUMBERS 31.24  And the Israeli Army and the captives washed their clothes on the seventh day, and were clean in the Sight of GOD.  And were allowed to come into the camp.

NUMBERS 31.25-27  All the people that were taken captive, and all the animals were divided equally in two parts between those in the Israeli Army who fought in the battle, and all the Congregation of the Children of Israel.

NUMBERS 31.28-29  The Israeli soldiers were commanded to dedicate one out of every 500 captured,  both of the captives and of the cattle, and the donkeys, and of the sheep, and they were given to The LORD to be given to Eleazar the Priest for a portion set apart for The LORD.

According to Torah, The Law of Moses, GOD Commanded that everything dedicated to The LORD was given to the Priests.  NUMBERS 18.8-14

NUMBERS 31.30  And the Children of Israel were commanded according to Torah, The Law of Moses, to take one of every fifty captives, one of every fifty of the cattle, of the bulls, donkeys and of the flocks.  And one of fifty of all the other animals, and give them to the Levites who attended to the duties of the Tabernacle of The LORD.  NUMBERS 18.21-32

NUMBERS 31.31-54  And Moses and Eleazar the Priest did as The LORD Commanded Moses.

VERSE 32  The booty that the Israeli men of war had taken was 675,000 sheep.

VERSE 33  72,000 cattle including bulls.

VERSE 34  61,000 donkeys

VERSE 35  32,000 women captives that had not known man by lying with them.

VERSE 36  And half the portion of sheep that was given to the men of war was 337,500 sheep.

VERSE 37  And The LORD’S Portion that was given to Him of the sheep was 675.

VERSE 38  The cattle totaled 36,000 of which The LORD received 72.

VERSE 39  The donkeys were 30,500, of which The LORD received 61.

VERSE 40  The Midianite captives were 16,000, of which The LORD’S Portion was 32 persons.

VERSE 41  And Moses gave the Portion that was The LORD’S to Eleazar the Priest, as The LORD Commanded Moses.

VERSES 42-43  And the portion of sheep given to the Children of Israel was 337,500.

VERSE 44  And 36,000 cattle.

VERSE 45  30,500 donkeys.

VERSE 46  And 16,000 captives.

VERSE 47  Of the Children of Israel’s portion, Moses took one of fifty, both of the captives and animals and gave them to the Levites who kept the charge of the Tabernacle of The LORD, as The LORD Commanded Moses.

VERSES 48-54  And the Officers of thousands in the Israeli Army, and the Captains of thousands, and the Captains of hundreds came to Moses and said, We have brought an offering for The LORD which every man has gotten of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and an assortment of other jewelry to make an atonement for our souls before The LORD.

Perhaps the men thought they might have been in sin for some reason.

And Moses and Eleazar the Priest took the gold and all the jewels.  And all that they offered to The LORD was 16,750 Shekels that weighed perhaps 420 pounds.

And Moses and Eleazar the Priest took the gold into the Tabernacle of the Congregation for a Memorial for the Children of Israel before the LORD.

NOW, THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, THE WEALTH OF THE SINNER IS LAID UP FOR THE RIGHTEOUS.  PROVERBS 13.22

A RIGHTEOUS PERSON IN THE SIGHT OF GOD IS EXPLAINED IN TORAH.

THE RIGHTEOUS PERSON HEARS WHAT GOD SAYS IN THE BIBLE, AND DOES WHAT GOD SAYS.  DEUTERONOMY 8.3, MATTHEW 4.4, LUKE 4.4, LUKE 8.21 

AND THE RIGHTEOUS PERSON BELIEVES IN ONE GOD WHO IS ONE PERSON, THE MESSIAH YESHUA.  

THE MESSIAH YESHUSA IS THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE, THE JEWISH MESSIAH, THE SPIRIT OF GOD,THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND SO MUCH MORE.

MESSIAH YESHUA IS ELOHIM.

AND THE RIGHTEOUS PERSON HAS ATONEMENT IN MESSIAH YESHUA.  FOR IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKES ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL.  DEUTERONOMY 6.4, MARK 12.29, LEVITICUS 17.11

AS WE WITNESSED IN THIS STUDY, THE LORD MIGHT HAVE SEEN HIS PEOPLE ISRAEL, THOSE WHO DID NOT ENTER INTO SIN WITH THE MIDIANITES AS RIGHTEOUS. AND THEY RECEIVED THE WEALTH OF THE SINNERS, THE MIDIANITE PEOPLE. 

THE SAME COULD VERY WELL HAPPEN TO YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.  YOU ALSO MIGHT RECEIVE THE WEALTH OT THE SINNER.  

BUT YOU CERTAINLY WILL RECEIVE MUCH MORE.

YESHUA THE MESSIAH TOLD A STORY ABOUT THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IN MATTHEW 25.14-30  

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS GOD ALMIGHTY WHO RULES OVER ALL AND EVERYTHING.   

And Messiah compares GOD with a man traveling to a far Country who called his servants and entrusted them with his goods.  His goods were his money.  And the man gave one of his servants five talents.  A talent is a sum of money.

To another servant he gave two talents.  And to another he gave one talent.  These men were to invest his money.  And The Bible says, To every man according to his own ability. And then the man took his journey.

Well you know the story.  The one who received five talents went and traded, or invested the money and made another five talents.

The one that received two talents made another two talents.

And the one who received one talent dug a hole in the ground and hid his lord’s money.

After a long while, the lord of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.  And to the one who received five talents, and made another five talents, his lord said to him, Well done you good and faithful servant.  You have been faithful over a few things.  I will make you ruler over many things.  Enter into the joy of your lord.

And the lord said the same to the servant who received two talents and made another two talents.  Well done you good and faithful servant, You have been faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things.  Enter into the joy of your lord.

But the one who received one talent hid his lord’s money in the ground.  And he had all kinds of excuses about how hard his lord is.  And he was afraid so he hid the talent in the ground.  And he gave his lord back the one talent.

And his lord said to him, You wicked and lazy servant.  You know that I am a hard man.  You should have put my money in a bank and then when I returned I should have received my talent with interest.

TAKE THEREFORE THE TALENT FROM HIM, THE LORD SAID, AND GIVE IT TO HIM WHO HAS TEN TALENTS.  

FOR EVERYONE THAT HAS SHALL BE GIVEN, AND HE SHALL HAVE ABUNDANCE.

BUT FROM HIM THAT HAS NOT SHALL BE TAKEN AWAY EVEN THAT WHICH HE HAS.

AND TOSS THE UNPROFITABLE SERVANT INTO OUTER DARKNESS WHERE PEOPLE WEEP AND GRIND THEIR TEETH IN PAIN AND RAGE. 

I BELIEVE THE TALENT IN MESSIAH’S STORY IS SYMBOLIC OF THE SIMPLE AND PURE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF GOD.

THE WORD OF GOD THAT IS SPOKEN IN THE BIBLE AND NOT THE LIES TAUGHT BY MAN. 

THAT WE AS GOD’S SERVANTS MUST LIVE OUR LIVES BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD SPOKEN IN THE BIBLE.  

AND TEACH AND SPEAK THE TRUTH OF GOD AS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE. 

THAT INCLUDES EVERY WORD GOD COMMANDS IN HIS LAW OF MOSES WRITTEN IN THE FIRST FIVE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE.

AND BELIEVING IN ONE GOD WHO IS ONE PERSON, YESHUA THE MESSIAH, WHO IS THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE, THE SPIRIT OF GOD, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND SO MUCH MORE.

MESSIAH YESHUA IS ELOHIM.

AND WE MUST HAVE ATONEMENT FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS IN THE MESSIAH YESHUA.

HEBREW BIBLE ISAIAH 9.5, CHRISTIAN BIBLE ISAIAH 9.6, HEBREW BIBLE MICAH 5.1, CHRISTIAN BIBLE MICAH 5.2, JOHN 12.45,49, JOHN 14.9

AND WHEN YOU OPEN YOURSELF TO OTHERS AND SPEAK THE THE TRUTH, THE PURE AND SIMPLE TRUTH OF THE SPOKEN WORD OF GOD FROM THE SCRIPTURES, THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL GIVE YOU, HIS RIGHTEOUS SERVANT, GREAT ABUNDANCE.  MORE OF THE WONDERFUL THINGS HE IS PLEASED TO GIVE YOU.  

AND THE LORD YOUR GOD SEES YOU AS HIS GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.  YOU ARE THE JOY OF THE LORD.  

AND THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL GIVE YOU TREASURES IN HEAVEN.  AND MAYBE EVEN WEALTH ON EARTH.  

FOR MESSIAH YESHUA IS YOUR SALVATION AND DELIVERANCE FROM SIN.  HE IS YOUR ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN.  

HE IS YOUR LIFE.

ADD TO THAT THESE WORDS OF PROPHESY THE LORD SPOKE TO HIS PROPHET ISAIAH.  “YOUR PEOPLE (THE JEWISH PEOPLE) SHALL BE ALL RIGHTEOUS.  THEY SHALL INHERIT THE LAND (THE LAND OF ISRAEL) FOREVER.  THE BRANCH OF MY PLANTING, THE WORK OF MY HANDS, THAT I MAY BE GLORIFIED.” ISAIAH 60.21

THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED YEARS AGO, THE LORD GAVE THE LAND OF CANAAN TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE TO BE THE JEWISH HOMELAND FOR AN EVERLASTING POSSESSION THAT IS NAMED THE LAND OF ISRAEL.  GENESIS 17.8

THE WEALTH OF THE SINNER IS LAID UP FOR THE RIGHTEOUS.  GENESIS 15.16-21, DEUTERONOMY 18.9-14, EZEKIEL 20.6

BUT THOSE WHO SIN AND TEACH LIES, OR KNOW THE TRUTH OF GOD AND HIDE IT, AND DON’T TEACH THE TRUTH OF GOD, THE GOOD THEY RECEIVED FROM GOD WILL BE TAKEN FROM THEM AND GIVEN TO THE RIGHTEOUS.

MATTHEW 6.19-21, ECCLESIASTES 2.26, ECCLESIASTES 12.13, PSALM 37.9, ROMANS 11.26

Our teaching today from Torah, The Law of Moses is from Numbers 31.13-18.

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, WHY IS SIN NEVER EXPLAINED IN THE CHURCH AND MANY MESSIANIC CONGREGATIONS?   

And with that said, Let’s read Numbers 31.13-18.

The LORD had commanded The Children of Israel to attack the Midianites and kill them because they deceived The Children of Israel with their sinful abominations.

The Midianites caused GOD’S People to sin against The LORD Their GOD by committing fornication with the daughters of Moab and Midian.

And large numbers in Israel committed idolatry with the pagan gods of Moab and Midian.  And they were taught by the Midianites and the Moabites to commit witchcraft.

And the Moabites and the Midianites caused The Children of Israel, GOD’S Chosen People to commit idolatry against The LORD Their GOD by inviting The People of GOD to the sacrifices to their gods.  And causing them to bow down to their idols, their pagan gods.  And they ate with pagans.

And large numbers of the Children of Israel joined themselves to their false god baal-peor and worshipped it.

And the fierce anger of The LORD boiled red hot against His People Israel.

And because of Israel’s sin, The LORD brought a plague upon His People that killed 24,000 Israelite People.   NUMBERS 25.1-9

As a note of information, a large population of Midianites lived among the Moabites in Moab.  GENESIS 36.35

And The LORD said to Moses, execute vengeance upon the Midianites and punish them.

And Moses gathered together an army of 12,000 men.  One thousand from each of the twelve Tribes throughout Israel armed for war.  And Phinehas the Priest went with them along with the Holy Instruments.  Perhaps the Ark of the Covenant and the Urim and Thummim.  And trumpets in their hands to blow.

Days earlier The LORD had said to Moses, Make two trumpets of silver, for various reasons.  One in particular was for when The Children of Israel went to war against the enemy that oppresses you.  Then you shall blow an alarm with the trumpets and you will be remembered before The LORD YOUR GOD.  And you shall be saved from your enemies, The LORD GOD said.

And Israel battled the Midianites as The LORD Commanded Moses.  And Israel killed all the males of Midian, and they killed the Kings of Midian.  And they also killed the Prophet Balaam.  All with the sword.

And the Children of Israel took all the Midianite women captives, and their little ones.  And they took the spoil that the Children of Israel seized by force.  All their goods and valuables.  All their cattle, and all their flocks.  And they burned all their cities where they lived.  And they burned all their castles with fire.

And the Children of Israel brought the captives and the goods, and valuables, and all the cattle and flocks to Moses and Eleazar the Priest, and to The Congregation of the Children of Israel to the camp where Israel was dwelling in the plains of Moab by the Jordan River near Jericho.

And Moses and Eleazar the Priest and the Leaders of The Tribes of Israel went to meet them outside the camp.

But Moses was angry with the Officers and the Captains of the army because they kept the women captives alive.

Moses was angry because, The Bible says, It was those women who caused the Children of Israel through the counsel of Balaam to commit trespass against The LORD in the matter of peor.

Meaning, it was those Midianite women who delivered the Children of Israel into sin in the matter of peor.

And because of Israel’s sin, The LORD plagued Israel and killed 24,000 Israelites.

The matter of peor took place when large numbers of The Children of Israel went to the Midianites and Moabites and joined themselves to their false god peor by bowing down and worshiping that idol.

AND BECAUSE OF ISRAEL’S SIN, GOD KILLED 24,000 ISRAELITES.  EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE MIDIANITE WOMEN WHO DELIVERED ISRAEL INTO THEIR SIN. NUMBERS 10.1-2,9, NUMBERS 25.9, NUMBERS 31.1-16

SIN IS BREAKING THE LAW OF MOSES.  NOT OBEYING GOD.  NOT OBEYING GOD’S LAWS THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES.

AND MANY OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL WERE GUILTY OF THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT, IDOLATRY AND FORNICATION. THEY WERE GUILTY OF VIOLATING GOD’S LAWS.  1 JOHN 3.4, NUMBERS 15.15-16, 29-31

AND SIN BRINGS ON DEATH.  ROMANS 5.12

The Torah, which is The Word of GOD and the Law of Moses, Teaches us very early that SIN RESULTS IN DEATH  

And GOD never changes.  He never lies.  He never changes His Mind.  When He Speaks, He Acts.  And when He Promises, He fulfills.

When Adam and Eve obeyed satan and sinned against GOD by eating what GOD commanded them not to eat, they died instead of living forever in the Garden of Eden that was like Heaven.

And GOD warned them that they would die if they disobeyed Him.  GENESIS 2.17, GENESIS 3.22-24, GENESIS 5.5, NUMBERS 23.19     

And because the Midianites taught the Children of Israel witchcraft, idolatry, and all their sinful abominations, GOD commanded Moses to kill all the Midianite men in the war.  And for the very same reason, GOD had Moses kill the Kings of Midian and Balaam by the sword.

And because the Midianite women caused the Children of Israel to sin against The LORD Their GOD through the counsel of Balaam, GOD had Moses kill every Midianite woman among the captives who knew a man by lying with him.

And because the male Midianite little ones among the captives would in time cause many of The Children of Israel to sin against The GOD of their fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by their abominations of false gods, witchcraft, fornication, and all their abominable sins, GOD had every Midianite male among the captives killed.

And because of the sins of the Midianite people, GOD had the Children of Israel seize all their goods, all their valuables, all their cattle and flocks.  And GOD commanded Moses to burn down their cities where they lived, and their castles.

ALL BECAUSE OF SIN.

ALL THESE TRAGEDIES CAME ABOUT BECAUSE OF SIN, BREAKING GOD’S LAWS.  DOING WHAT GOD SAYS NOT TO DO.  DEUTERONOMY 20.16-18, EXODUS 20.1-5, ACTS 15.19-21

ACTS 15.19-21  JAMES TEACHES GENTILES COMING TO FAITH IN MESSIAH YESHUA TO FOLLOW AND OBEY TORAH, THE LAW OF MOSES THAT HAS GOD’S LAWS, TEACHINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS WRITTEN IN IT.  THUS PREVENTING THEM FROM SINNING AGAINST THE LORD THEIR GOD.

FIRST BY ABSTAINING FROM POLLUTIONS OF IDOLS, AND FROM FORNICATION.  

AND THEN LIVING YOUR LIVES IN ACCORDANCE TO ALL GOD’S LAWS, TEACHINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES IN THE FIRST FIVE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE.

THAT IS HOW YOU STOP SINNING AGAINST GOD.

THAT TEACHING FROM GOD IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TODAY, AND FOREVER. 

AND JAMES TEACHES NON-JEWISH PEOPLE OF FAITH IN MESSIAH YESHUA TO ATTEND A SYNAGOGUE ON THE SATURDAY SABBATH TO HEAR THE TEACHING OF TORAH, THE LAW OF MOSES.  AND LEARN THE LAW OF MOSES, AND LIVE BY THE LAW OF MOSES.

THAT APPLIES TO JEWISH PEOPLE AND NON-JEWISH PEOPLE.

JOHN WRITES, IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, GOD IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

AND JOHN ALSO WRITES, FOR THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (COLLECTIVELY THE LAW OF MOSES). AND HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS.

AND PETER WRITES, FOR THIS REASON WERE YOU CALLED BECAUSE MESSIAH LEFT AN EXAMPLE FOR US THAT WE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS WHO DID NO SIN. (MESSIAH DID NOT BREAK THE LAW OF MOSES.  THUS HE DID NOT SIN.  THAT IS THE EXAMPLE OF MESSIAH WE SHOULD FOLLOW)

AND MESSIAH YESHUA SAID, IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. (COLLECTIVELY THE LAW OF MOSES) 1 JOHN 1.9, 1 JOHN 5.3, 1 PETER 2.21-22, JOHN 14.15

SO I HAVE A QUESTION.  AND MY QUESTION IS THIS. WHY IS SIN NEVER EXPLAINED IN THE CHURCH AND MANY MESSIANIC CONGREGATIONS?

BECAUSE SIN, WHICH IS BREAKING ANY OF GOD’S LAWS THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES IS A VERY SERIOUS THING.

AND SIN RESULTS IN DEATH.  GENESIS 2.17, ROMANS 5.12

SIN IS BREAKING THE LAW OF MOSES.  SIN IS DISOBEYING GOD.  

AND GOD’S LAW OF MOSES IS FOR ALL MANKIND.  EVEN FOR THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN.  AND EVEN FOR GOD HIMSELF. NUMBERS 15.15-16, DEUTERONOMY 32.1-2, 1 JOHN 3.4

YES, MESSIAH YESHUA GAVE HIS LIFE FOR YOUR ATONEMENT, FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS.

BUT MESSIAH YESHUA NEVER GAVE HIS LIFE FOR YOU TO CONTINUE SINNING AGAINST HIM BY VIOLATING HIS LAWS THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES.   

PAUL ASKS A QUESTION AND ANSWERS IT IN ROMANS 6.1-2.  SHALL WE CONTINUE TO SIN (SHALL WE CONTINUE TO BREAK GOD’S LAWS WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES) THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND?  GOD FORBID. 

BUT UNFORTUNATELY, THE DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH AND THE DOCTRINE OF MANY MESSIANIC CONGREGATIONS IS THAT JESUS OR MESSIAH YESHUA DID AWAY WITH THE LAW OF MOSES AT HIS DEATH.

AND THAT IS A LIE.  AND THAT LIE IS SIN.  AND THAT SIN LEADS TO DEATH.  AND SIN DOES NOT LEAD TO SALVATION BUT DEATH.

SO WHY IS SIN NEVER EXPLAINED IN THE CHURCH AND MANY MESSIANIC CONGREGATIONS THAT SIN IS BREAKING THE LAW OF MOSES?  1 JOHN 3.4

THE WORDS SIN, INIQUITY AND TRANSGRESSION ARE WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE SOME 1,344 TIMES.  YET THE CHURCH AND MANY MESSIANIC CONGREGATIONS NEVER TEACH THAT SIN IS BREAKING THE LAW OF MOSES.  

WHY?

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT REBELLION IS AS THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT, AND STUBBORNNESS IS AS INIQUITY AND IDOLATRY.  1 SAMUEL 15.23

AND YET THE CHURCH SAYS, YOU MUST OBEY GOD.  EVEN WHEN THE CHURCH HAS ABOLISHED ALL GOD’S LAWS, TEACHINGS, AND INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES IN THE FIRST FIVE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE, AS HAVE MANY MESSIANIC CONGREGATIONS.

THEREFORE THEIR TEACHING OF OBEDIENCE TO GOD IS DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD.  AND THEIR PEOPLE ARE TAUGHT LAWLESSNESS.

SO WHY DOES THE CHURCH AND MANY MESSIANIC CONGREGATIONS NEVER TEACH THAT SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW OF MOSES?

MESSIAH YESHUA ANSWERS THAT QUESTION.

After Messiah explained the parable of the sower to the great multitudes, His Disciples asked Him, Why are you speaking to them in parables?

AND MESSIAH ANSWERED, BECAUSE IT IS GIVEN TO YOU TO KNOW THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. BUT TO THEM IT IS NOT GIVEN. 

The Word MYSTERIES comes from The Greek Word MYSTERION meaning A SECRET OR A MYSTERY.

But the Mysteries of The Kingdom of Heaven are available to all.  They are written in The Bible.  But so few see those Mysteries.  And so few receive those Mysteries.  And so few understand those Mysteries.

Thus the Mysteries of The Kingdom of Heaven are a Mystery to the masses.  BUT NOT TO ALL. 

And Messiah tells us why the Mysteries of The Kingdom of Heaven are not heard or understood by the masses.

And here’s why.

THEREFORE, MESSIAH SAID, I SPEAK TO THEM IN PARABLES BECAUSE THOUGH SEEING, THEY DO NOT SEE, AND THOUGH HEARING, THEY DO NOT HEAR, NOR DO THEY UNDERSTAND.

IN THEM IS FULFILLED THE PROPHESY OF ISAIAH, MESSIAH SAID, WHICH SAYS,

BY HEARING YOU SHALL HEAR AND NOT UNDERSTAND. AND SEEING YOU SHALL SEE AND NOT KNOW.

FOR THIS PEOPLE’S HEART HAS BECOME THICK, AND THEIR EARS ARE DULL OF HEARING.  AND THEIR EYES ARE CLOSED.  LEST AT ANY TIME THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES, AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, AND SHOULD UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART, AND SHOULD TURN AND REPENT AND I SHOULD HEAL THEM.

BUT BLESSED ARE YOUR EYES FOR THEY SEE, AND YOUR EARS FOR THEY HEAR.  MATTHEW 13.1-3, 10-11, 13-16, 

The Mysteries of The Kingdom of Heaven are simple, written, and repeated often throughout Scripture.  But the masses do not see, nor do they hear, nor do they understand.

THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN ARE,

YOU MUST LIVE BY TORAH, THE WORD OF GOD CALLED THE LAW OF MOSES THAT IS WRITTEN IN THE FIRST FIVE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE.  

AND YOU MUST KNOW AND BELIEVE GOD, AND UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD.  

AND YOU MUST HAVE ATONEMENT IN THE MESSIAH YESHUA.

ONE PERSON IS GOD.  AND HE IS MESSIAH YESHUA.  HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM ELOHIM, THE FATHER, THE MESSIAH, THE SON, THE SPIRIT AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.

LEVITICUS 17.11, ISAIAH 53, FULFILLED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, ACTS 15.21, DEUTERONOMY 32.1-2, ISAIAH 40.8, ISAIAH 56.6-7, DEUTERONOMY 6.4, MARK 12.29, MATTHEW 4.4, LUKE 4.4, ETC., ETC., ETC.,

Those are the Mysteries of The Kingdom of Heaven. Obeying every Word GOD Speaks.  That includes every Law, Teaching and Instruction that is written in The Law of Moses.  Knowing and Believing there is ONLY ONE GOD. And having Atonement through faith in Messiah Yeshua.

ONE PERSON IS GOD, YESHUA THE MESSIAH.  HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM, THE FATHER, THE SON, THE MESSIAH, THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE SPIRIT AND SO MUCH MORE.

THEREFORE MESSIAH SAYS, FOR MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN.  MATTHEW 22.14

AND MESSIAH ALSO SAYS, THE WAY IS NARROW THAT LEADS TO LIFE AND FEW THERE ARE THAT FIND IT. MATTHEW 7.13-15 

However, there are some within the masses who can and will break away and learn the Mysteries of The Kingdom of Heaven and do them.  And inherit Eternal Life.

FOR GOD IS ABLE.  AND GOD HEARS PRAYERS. 

INITIALLY OUR TITLE FOR THIS MESSAGE WAS, FOR THUS SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS, FOR HE THAT TOUCHES YOU, TOUCHES THE APPLE OF HIS EYE?  ZECHARIAH 2.8

I CHOSE THAT TITLE INITIALLY BECAUSE LIKE THE MIDIANITES OR ANY NATION OR INDIVIDUAL THAT MESSES WITH ISRAEL, OR THE JEWISH PEOPLE, GOD WILL DEAL HARSHLY WITH THEM.

BUT WE CHANGED THE TITLE AT THIS WRITING TO, WHY IS SIN NEVER EXPLAINED IN THE CHURCH AND MANY MESSIANIC CONGREGATIONS?????

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, AND THE LORD SAID TO MOSES, ATTACK THE MIDIANITES AND KILL THEM BECAUSE THEY DECEIVED THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL WITH THEIR WILES.

So with that said, let’s read NUMBERS 31.1-12

NUMBERS 31.1-2  AVENGE The Children of Israel of the Midianites.

The Hebrew Words for AVENGE are N’KOM NEEK’MAHT meaning EXECUTE VENGEANCE, PUNISH, REPAY, PAY BACK, TAKE REVENGE, RETALIATE, and EXACT RETRIBUTION FOR The Children of Israel from the Midianites.

And GOD said to Moses, After the war with the Midianites you shall be gathered to your People.

Meaning I believe, that after Moses died on the top of the mountain Pisgah in the land of Moab, The LORD gathered him to his People in Heaven with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and others who are in Heaven with THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, MESSIAH YESHUA.  DEUTERONOMY 34.1, 5

The man Midian, whom the Midianite people descend from, was Abraham’s son from Keturah, Abraham’s second wife after Sarah died.  GENESIS 24.67, GENESIS 25.1-2

Thus Midian, Abraham’s son was Jewish.  Because, in the eyes of GOD, it is the male parent who begets, or generates offspring.  And Abraham was Midian’s father.

I know that Jewish Law defines a person born of a Jewish mother to be Jewish.  BUT GOD DEFINES A PERSON BORN OF A JEWISH FATHER TO BE JEWISH.  AND GOD IS ALWAYS CORRECT.  GENESIS 25.19, RUTH 4.21-22, MATTHEW 1.1-6, ETC.

BEGAT in Hebrew is HO’LEED meaning, A male parent who brought forth offspring.

So, were these Midianites Jewish whom Israel went to war some seven hundred years after the birth of Midian?  I don’t know.

The same holds true for the Edomites who were great enemies of Israel.  The Edomites were the offspring of Esau, Jacob’s twin brother, the son of Isaac.  Were those Edomites who continuously warred with Israel Jewish?  Again, I don’t know.  GENESIS 36.9

The Country of Midian was located just south of the Negev in Southern Israel.  Today, that would place Midian south of The Kingdom of Jordan in the northern part of Saudi Arabia.

But Midian is no longer in existence.  Nor is Edom.

When Moses fled to Midian after he killed an Egyptian because he saw the Egyptian beating one of his Hebrew brethren, I believe Moses knew that the Midianites were descendants of Abraham.  And felt he would be safe there. And in Midian, Moses married Zipporah, the daughter of Jethro, the Priest of Midian.  And Moses became a shepherd for Jethro.  EXODUS 2.11-22, EXODUS 3.1

It was Midianite merchantmen who drew Joseph out of the pit and sold him to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver.  And the Ishmeelites brought Joseph down to Egypt. GENESIS 37.23-28

Are the Ishmeelites Jewish since Ishmael was born of Abraham from Hagar, Sarah’s Egyptian servant?  Again, I don’t know.

But GOD told Abraham, In Isaac shall your seed be called.  GENESIS 21.12

The Jewish People descend from Isaac.  Not from Ishmael, or Esau, or Midian, or anybody else but Isaac, and his son Jacob, and Jacob’s twelve sons who are the fathers of the twelve tribes of Israel.  From them the Jewish People descend.  

SO, WHY DID GOD COMMAND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL TO KILL THE MIDIANITES, AND WHAT DID THE MIDIANITES DO TO DECEIVE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL WITH THEIR WILES?

The Midianites and the Moabites became partners in an alliance against The Children of Israel when Israel was approaching their Countries in the Exodus from Egypt to cross into the Promised Land Canaan.

Neither Midian or Moab was part of Canaan.  Nor was GOD preparing Israel to conquer those two Countries.

But the King of Moab, Balak by name, hired the pagan Prophet Balaam to curse Israel.  And The Bible says that the elders of Moab and Midian departed to Balaam with the rewards of divination in their hand.  Divination is witchcraft.  NUMBERS 22.1-7

And the pagan Prophet Balaam told these pagan elders that he must first meet with The LORD to hear what He has to say about this scheme to curse Israel.

And Balaam did meet with The LORD.  And GOD told Balaam, YOU SHALL NOT CURSE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FOR THEY ARE BLESSED.  NUMBERS 22.8-12

So after telling King Balak what The LORD said, King Balak persisted upon Balaam to curse Israel even though Balaam told the King numerous times that THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY TOLD HIM THAT HE SHALL NOT CURSE ISRAEL FOR THEY ARE BLESSED. 

Solomon wrote that there is no new thing under the sun. ECCLESIASTES 1.9

Today, there are people that continue to use witchcraft. They even advertise their wares.

And like King Balak more than 3,000 years ago, the Kings of the earth, and the people they rule set themselves against THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY today and refuse to do what GOD says.  They refuse to obey GOD’S Word.  They refuse to obey GOD’S Laws, His Teachings and His Instructions.  They refuse to obey GOD.

In fact, the people of the earth are often taught to disobey GOD by the elite of Religion and Government.

There is no new thing under the sun.

THAT IS WHY GOD HAD THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL ATTACK AND KILL THE MIDIANITES.  BECAUSE THE MIDIANITES DECEIVED HIS JEWISH PEOPLE WITH THEIR WILES AND THEIR ABOMINATIONS.  THEY TAUGHT GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE TO DISOBEY THE LORD THEIR GOD.  THE SAME LIE SATAN DECEIVED EVE WITH, SAYING, YOU WILL SURELY NOT DIE FOR DISOBEYING GOD.

AND THEY CAUSED HIS PEOPLE TO COMMIT WHOREDOM.  THAT IS FORNICATION AND IDOLATRY WITH THE DAUGHTERS OF MOAB.

AND THE MIDIANITES, I BELIEVE, TAUGHT THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL WITCHCRAFT.  NUMBERS 25.16-18, GENESIS 3.4

NUMBERS 25.16-18 AND THE LORD SPOKE TO MOSES SAYING, ATTACK THE MIDIANITES AND KILL THEM. FOR THEY HARASS YOU WITH THEIR DECEIT WHEREIN THEY HAVE DECEIVED YOU WITH THE MATTER OF PEOR.

LET’S READ ABOUT THE MATTER OF PEOR IN NUMBERS 25.1-13

THE MIDIANITES AND THE MOABITES TAUGHT THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL ALL THEIR ABOMINATIONS.  AND BECAUSE CERTAIN OF GOD’S PEOPLE ATTENDED THEIR SACRIFICES, AND ATE WITH THEM, AND BOWED DOWN TO THEIR gods, AND JOINED THEMSELVES TO THEIR FALSE god baal-peor,  THE GOD OF ISRAEL PLAGUED THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, AND 24,000 DIED.

AND WHEN THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL WENT TO WAR AGAINST MIDIAN AS THE LORD COMMANDED, ISRAEL KILLED ALL THE MALES, AND FIVE OF THEIR KINGS, AND BALAAM.  AND THEY TOOK ALL THE WOMEN OF MIDIAN CAPTIVES, AND THEIR LITTLE ONES.  AND THEY TOOK THE SPOIL OF ALL THEIR CATTLE, AND ALL THEIR FLOCKS, AND ALL THEIR GOODS.  AND BURNED ALL THEIR CITIES WHERE THEY LIVED.  NUMBERS 31.5-10

And I believe GOD had Balaam killed because he was party to the Midianites teaching The Children of Israel witchcraft. NUMBERS 31.8

And for the very same reason, GOD will destroy the world because those who live in it disobey GOD.  They disobey His Word, His Commands, His Laws and His Teachings.  ISAIAH 24.1-6

This historical event, I believe is a warning to the nations. Why is it a warning to the nations?

Because GOD requires His Jewish People to bring up their children in The Word of GOD Written in TORAH, which is the Law of Moses that has all GOD’S Laws written in it.  And The PROPHETS.  And the WRITINGS of the Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Songs, etc.  DEUTERONOMY 6. 1-7

Then GOD scattered His Jewish People throughout the Nations.

None of these Nations outside of Israel lives by The Word of GOD.  None lives by Torah, The Law of Moses.  Not one nation outside of Israel lives by The teachings of The Prophets.  Nor does any nation other than Israel live by the Writings of GOD in The Bible.

There is not one nation outside of Israel that obeys what the GOD of Creation commands them to do that is written in The Bible.

And large numbers of Jewish People have blended in with the nations by not following The GOD of Their fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  Causing them to fall away from their GOD, The Holy One of Israel.

Then there is a sizable number of Jewish People who come to believe in their Messiah Yeshua for Atonement and Eternal Life.

But then go to a Church or certain Messianic Synagogues and are taught false doctrine that The Law of Moses is no longer in effect.  Because the Jesus Christ of the Church did away with The Law of Moses at His death.  That is false doctrine.   

And these Jewish People who come to believe in their Messiah are often taught a trinity of three different gods. The father is a god.  The son Jesus Christ or The Messiah Yeshua is another god.  And the spirit is yet another god.

And these Jewish People are brought into paganism because of that false doctrine. 

But yet The Bible that the Church and the Messianic Synagogues teach from have THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD.

AND IT IS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE; 

THE WORD OF OUR GOD SHALL STAND FOREVER. ISAIAH 40.8 

THE WORD OF GOD LIVES AND ABIDES FOREVER.  1 PETER 1.23-25

SIN IS DISOBEDIENCE TO THE LAW OF MOSES.  1 JOHN 3.4  

FOR REBELLION IS THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT, AND STUBBORNNESS IS AS  INIQUITY AND IDOLATRY.  1 SAMUEL 15.23

PETER WRITES, EVEN FOR THIS WERE YOU CALLED, BECAUSE MESSIAH ALSO SUFFERED FOR US, LEAVING US AN EXAMPLE THAT WE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS WHO DID NO SIN.  1 PETER 2.21-22 

ONE LAW IS FOR BOTH THE JEWISH PERSON AND THE NON-JEWISH PERSON.  NUMBERS 15.15 

THE LORD GOD NEVER CHANGES.  MALACHI 3.6  

GOD GIVES THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THOSE WHO OBEY HIM.  ACTS 5.32  

GOD IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD LIE, NOR THE SON OF MAN THAT HE SHOULD CHANGE HIS MIND. NUMBERS 23.19  

YESHUA THE MESSIAH SAID, HE THAT SEES ME SEES HIM THAT SENT ME.  JOHN 12.45,49 

YESHUA ALSO SAID, HE THAT SEES ME SEES THE FATHER.  JOHN 14.9 

YESHUA THE MESSIAH IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER.  HEBREW 13.8  

YESHUA THE MESSIAH, GOD ALMIGHTY SAID, THE MOST IMPORTANT COMMANDMENT IS, HEAR O ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD.  MARK 12.29  

TORAH TEACHES, HEAR O ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD.  DEUTERONOMY 6.4

THE PROPHET ISAIAH WRITES, THE CHILD BORN TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE, THE SON GIVEN TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE IS THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER.  

THAT SPECIAL SON GIVEN TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE IS THE MESSIAH YESHUA WHO IS THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER.  TANAKH ISAIAH 9.5, CHRISTIAN BIBLE ISAIAH 9.6 

YESHUA THE MESSIAH SAID, MY MOTHER AND MY BRETHREN ARE THESE WHICH HEAR THE WORD OF GOD, AND DO IT.  LUKE 8.21  

THE WILL OF GOD IS TO OBEY HIS LAWS, TEACHINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES. PSALM 40.8   

THE MESSIAH YESHUA SAID, IT IS WRITTEN, MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BUY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD. MATTHEW 4.4, DEUTERONOMY 8.3  

THE MESSIAH YESHUA, THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY ALSO SAID, NOT EVERYONE THAT SAYS TO ME, LORD, LORD, SHALL ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT HE THAT DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.

MANY WILL SAY TO ME IN THAT DAY, LORD, LORD, HAVE WE NOT PROPHESIED IN YOUR NAME?  AND IN YOUR NAME HAVE CAST OUT DEVILS?  AND IN YOUR NAME DONE MANY WONDERFUL WORKS?  

AND I WILL PROFESS TO THEM, I NEVER KNEW YOU. DEPART FROM ME YOU WORKER OF LAWLESSNESS. MATTHEW 7.21-23 

THE NEW TESTAMENT SAYS, BLESSED ARE THEY THAT DO HIS COMMANDMENTS THAT THEY MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO THE TREE OF LIFE, AND MAY ENTER IN THROUGH THE GATES INTO THE CITY.  REVELATION 22.14 

PAUL TEACHES THIS.  SHALL WE CONTINUE TO SIN (SHALL WE CONTINUE TO BREAK THE LAW OF MOSES) THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND?  GOD FORBID.  ROMANS 6.1-2     

PAUL ALSO TEACHES, DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH?  GOD FORBID.  WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.  ROMANS 3.31  

IS HE THE GOD OF THE JEWS ONLY? PAUL WRITES.  IS HE NOT ALSO THE GOD OF THE GENTILES?  YES, OF THE GENTILES ALSO.  ROMANS 3.29  

AND AGAIN PAUL TEACHES, NOT THE HEARERS OF THE LAW ARE JUST BEFORE GOD, BUT THE DOERS OF THE LAW ARE JUST BEFORE GOD.   ROMANS 2.13 

AND AGAIN PAUL TEACHES, WHEREFORE THE LAW IS HOLY, AND THE COMMANDMENT HOLY, AND JUST AND GOOD.  ROMANS 7.12   

YESHUA THE MESSIAH SAID, GIVE TO CAESAR THE THINGS THAT ARE CAESAR’S, AND GIVE TO GOD THE THINGS THAT ARE GOD’S.  ( THE THINGS THAT ARE GOD’S ARE OBEDIENCE TO GOD, HIS WORD AND HIS LAW )  MARK 12.17  

YESHUA THE MESSIAH, GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM ELOHIM SAID, IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.  JOHN 14.15 

AND DAVID WRITES, AS FOR ME, I WILL BEHOLD YOUR FACE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS.  I SHALL BE SATISFIED WHEN I AWAKE WITH YOUR LIKENESS.  PSALM 17.15 

AND JOHN WRITES, FOR THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD. THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, AND HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT BURDENSOME.  1 JOHN 5.3   

AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, THE LORD SAYS, IF YOU SHALL HEARKEN DILIGENTLY TO THE VOICE OF THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND OBSERVE TO DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS WHICH I COMMAND YOU THIS DAY, THAT THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL SET YOU ON HIGH ABOVE ALL THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH.

AND ALL THESE BLESSINGS SHALL COME UPON YOU, AND OVERTAKE YOU, IF YOU SHALL HEARKEN TO TO THE VOICE OF THE LORD YOUR GOD.  

BUT IT SHALL COME TO PASS, IF YOU WILL NOT OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD YOUR GOD TO OBSERVE TO DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS AND HIS STATUTES WHICH I COMMAND YOU THIS DAY, THAT ALL THESE CURSES SHALL COME UPON YOU, AND OVERTAKE YOU. DEUTERONOMY 28.   

IT IS WRITTEN.  WHY DON’T THEY SEE IT?

The nations never left the doctrine of Midian and Moab. They continue to live in disobedience to GOD.  Rejecting GOD by rejecting The Word of GOD Written in the Bible.

And what happened to the Midianites because of their rejection and disobedience to GOD will happen one day to the world.

But because you love the LORD Your GOD, and obey His Laws, Teachings and Instructions that are written in Torah, The Law of Moses, and have Atonement in the Messiah Yeshua, YOU WILL ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Our teaching from The Law of Moses that contains all The Laws of GOD will continue from Numbers 30.2-3 in Tanakh or Numbers 30.1-2 in The Christian Bible.

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, WHEN YOU PROMISE THE LORD TO DO SOMETHING, BE SURE TO DO IT.

So with that said, let’s read NUMBERS 30.2-3 in TANAKH, or NUMBERS 30.1-2 in The CHRISTIAN BIBLE.  And we will continue through the whole Chapter of sixteen verses.

A Vow or an Oath to The LORD that is Swearing to do a certain thing is a Serious Declaration. 

The LORD says, If a person Vow a Vow, that is, voluntarily promises to do or give anything to The LORD, or Swear an Oath to Bind his Soul with a Vow, he shall not break his word.  That person shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.  NUMBERS 30.3 IN TANAKH, NUMBERS 30.2 IN THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE.

For The LORD says, When you shall Vow a Vow unto The LORD Your GOD, you shall not be slack to pay it.  That is you shall not delay or put it off.  For The LORD Your GOD will surely require it of you.  And it will be sin in you.

But if you do not Vow, it shall not be sin to you, The LORD says.

That which has gone out of your lips, The LORD says, you shall observe and do according as you have Vowed Freely unto The LORD Your GOD.  Even that which you have promised with your mouth.  TANAKH DEUTERONOMY 23.22-24, CHRISTIAN BIBLE DEUTERONOMY 23.21-23

YESHUA THE MESSIAH, WHO IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM ELOHIM WHO SPOKE THOSE WORDS ABOUT VOWS, SAID, DO NOT SWEAR AN OATH AT ALL, BUT LET YOUR WORDS BE YES, YES, OR NO, NO. FOR WHATSOEVER IS MORE THAN THESE COMES TO EVIL.  THE EVIL IS SIN THAT ARISES FROM BROKEN VOWS.  

Let’s read MATTHEW 5.33-37

VERSE 33  You shall not forswear yourself, Messiah said. That is, you shall not break your Oath that you promised The LORD.  But you shall perform unto The LORD every Oath that you have Sworn.

VERSE 34  Thus Messiah says, Do not swear at all.  Do not swear an Oath to The LORD.  Neither by Heaven, nor by earth, neither by Jerusalem, nor by your head. 

Similar to The Words Messiah Spoke in TANAKH DEUTERONOMY 23.23, CHRISTIAN BIBLE DEUTERONOMY 23.22

Just a simple Yes, or No.  For anything beyond this comes from the evil one.  Because breaking an Oath to The LORD is sin.

Therefore Messiah says, Do not Swear at all.  Neither by Heaven for it is GOD’S Throne.  Nor by the earth, for it is His Footstool.  Neither by Jerusalem, for it is the City of The Great King.  Neither swear by your head because you cannot make one hair white or black.

An Oath taken in The Name of The LORD is not only binding, an Oath taken in The Name of The LORD is serious.  Very serious.  THEREFORE MESSIAH YESHUA, THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY SAYS, DO NOT SWEAR AT ALL. 

VERSE 37  But let your communication, the words that you speak be Yes, Yes, or No, No, for whatsoever is more than these comes of evil.

Thus breaking a Vow to The LORD is evil.  And sin is evil. And sin, which is disobedience to GOD, comes from satan. GENESIS 3.1-4, JOHN 8.44

The LORD says in The Ten Commandments, You shall not take The Name of The LORD your GOD in vain.  For The LORD will not hold him guiltless, that is unpunished. EXODUS 20.7

The word VAIN comes from the Hebrew word SHAV.  And taking The Name of The LORD Your GOD in Vain is using His Name for Evil, or using His Name in Uselessness, or using His Name to be Deceptive, or using GOD’S Name Falsely, or using GOD’S Name to Lie, or using GOD’S Name for No Valid Reason.

Swearing a Vow to GOD and not carrying it out is using GOD’S Name in vain and that is evil.

Just as it is forbidden to show contempt for The LORD GOD by making an idol, or making an oath to The LORD and then breaking it, so it is a terrible thing to disgrace The Name of The LORD by using His Name for no valid purpose.

LEVITICUS 19.12  You shall not Swear falsely by My Name, thereby desecrating The Name of Your GOD, and profaning His Name.  I AM THE LORD, GOD SAYS.

Profaning GOD’S Name is Disrespectful, Unholy, Blasphemous, Heathen, Pagan, and Vulgar.

Desecrating The LORD is the same as Profaning His Holy Name.

I think of the Words Messiah Yeshua often said.  He who has ears to hear let him hear.  That is to say, He who has ears to hear let him hear what GOD Says, and obey what GOD Speaks.  Because The Word that GOD Speaks is not just for Jewish People, but for all People.  ROMANS 3.29

GOD’S Word is His Law, His Commandment, and His Judgment, and a whole lot more.  EXODUS 9.1, PROVERBS 4.4-13, 20-22, PROVERBS 8.32-36

Like GOD Himself, GOD’S Word that includes His Law of Moses that has all GOD’S Laws, Teachings and Instructions written in it are the same yesterday, today and forever.  And GOD’S Word and His Laws never change, nor do they ever end.  And GOD’S Law includes breaking an Oath to The LORD.  ISAIAH 40.8

Because The LORD GOD says, If a man Vow a Vow, or Swear an Oath to bind his soul with a vow, he shall not break his word.  He shall do all that proceeds out of his mouth.  TANAKH NUMBERS 30.3, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.2, DEUTERONOMY 8.3, DEUTERONOMY 32.1-4, MATTHEW 11.15, MATTHEW 4.4, MATTHEW 7.21-23, LUKE 4.4, LUKE 8.21, HEBREWS 13.8

Jacob Vowed a Vow to The LORD.  And Jacob did exactly what he said he would do.  GENESIS 28.10-22

And also a Vow is made in Psalm 116.16-19.

Let’s look further into GOD’S Laws concerning Vows in NUMBERS 30.2-17 or 1-16 depending upon The Bible you are reading.

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.2, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.1 How many people in this world know why GOD Chose The Jewish People to be His Chosen People?  I would say not a whole lot.

GOD chose the Jewish People to be His Servant and His Witnesses to reveal to mankind from firsthand evidence recorded in The Bible from the writings of Jewish People in Genesis through Revelation THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD AND NO OTHERS.

And The Bible teaches what the LORD YOUR GOD requires of you.  To fear The LORD YOUR GOD, to walk in all His Ways, and to love Him, and to serve The LORD YOUR GOD with all your heart, and with all your soul. And to keep the Commandments of The LORD and His Statutes which are written in the Law of Moses.   

And the Jewish People have accomplished GOD’S assignment by writing the entire Bible.  Revealing to mankind that there is ONLY ONE GOD, and recording The Spoken Word of GOD, and the Spoken Word of GOD’S Prophets in The Bible.  And explaining to the world in The Bible the path to Atonement and Eternal Life.

And today the path to Atonement and Eternal Life in Heaven Prophesied by The Jewish Prophets in TANAKH and fulfilled in the Jewish New Testament is through The Jewish Messiah Yeshua.  Taught and recorded by Jewish Writers.

AND THE BIBLE TEACHES UNEQUIVOCALLY THAT GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM ELOHIM IS MESSIAH YESHUA, OUR FATHER, AND OUR SAVIOR.  TANAKH ISAIAH 9.5, CHRISTIAN BIBLE ISAIAH 9.6, TANAKH MICAH 5.1, CHRISTIAN BIBLE MICAH 5.2, DEUTERONOMY 6.4, MARK 12.29, DEUTERONOMY 10.12-13, JOHN 12.45,49, JOHN 14.9, ROMANS 3.29

And The LORD Commands The Children of Israel and all the world to observe His Laws concerning Vows and Oaths that are written in NUMBERS Chapter 30.

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.3, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.2 GOD says, If a person Vows a Vow to The LORD, that person shall not break his word.  He or she must do according to all that proceeds out of your mouth.

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.4-5, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.3-4  If a woman Vows a Vow to The LORD while she still lives in her father’s house because of her youth, and her father hears her Vow and offers no objection, all her Vows shall stand.

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.6, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.5 But if her father disapproves of her Vow on the day he hears it, none of her Vows shall stand.  And The LORD will forgive her since her father objected to her Vow.

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.7-9, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.6-8  If the woman is married and Vows a Vow to The LORD and her husband hears of it and offers no objection on that day, her Vow stands.

But if her husband objects on the day he hears of her Vow, The LORD will forgive her.

So I thought you might ask the question, Why does The LORD give the husband such authority over his wife?  Turn to GENESIS 3.16

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.10, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.9 But the Vow of a widow or a divorced woman stands.

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.11-14, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.10-13  If The woman Vowed a Vow in her husband’s house, and her husband hears of it, (Perhaps the divorced woman’s husband is still supporting her) and he holds his peace and does not disallow her Vows, then all her Vows shall stand.  But if her husband voided her Vows on the day he heard them, her Vows do not stand and The LORD will forgive her.

Every Vow she makes may be established or voided by her husband.

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.15-16, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.14-15  If her husband offers no objection from that day to the next, he has upheld all her Vows.  But if he annuls them AFTER the day he finds out, HE shall bear her iniquity.

TANAKH NUMBERS 30.17, CHRISTIAN BIBLE NUMBERS 30.16  Those are the Laws that The LORD commanded Moses between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter while she is in her father’s house because of her youth.

So remember The LORD’s Commandment.  “You shall not take The Name of The LORD Your GOD in vain, for The LORD will not hold that person guiltless that takes His Name in vain.”
