Our Message today will come from Ezekiel 8.1-18.

AND THE TITLE IS, I NEVER THOUGHT IT WAS THIS BAD.

So with that said, let’s read Ezekiel 8.1-18.

Let’s review this Chapter because it needs some explaining.

And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month as I sat in my house, meaning, The time of this writing by The Prophet Ezekiel was in the sixth year of The Jewish exile into Babylon, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as Ezekiel sat in his house.

This writing was written by The Prophet in Babylon, current day Iraq, in 580 B.C.E./B.C.

And Ezekiel said, The elders of Judah sat before me, and the Hand of The LORD GOD fell upon me.

Judah was the southern Kingdom of Israel during the period when The Land of Israel was divided from 928 to 586 B.C.E./B.C.  The Tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Simeon, formed the southern Kingdom of Israel, while the remaining Tribes formed the northern Kingdom of Israel.

When Ezekiel wrote that The Hand of The LORD GOD fell there upon me, I believe that Ezekiel means that The Spirit of GOD was upon him.

Then Ezekiel wrote, I looked, and a Likeness, meaning The Shape, The Shape of GOD as The appearance of Fire.  And from His Waist upward as The Appearance of Brightness as the color of amber, a brilliant yellow and brown.

And He, The LORD GOD, put forth The form of a Hand and took me by a lock of my head, that is, it felt like GOD took him by the hair.  And The Spirit of GOD lifted me up between the earth and the heavens, and brought me in The Visions of GOD to Jerusalem to the door of the inner Gate of The Temple that looks toward the north where there was the image, that is, the idol of jealousy which provokes to jealousy.

GOD gave Ezekiel a vision in which The LORD brought Ezekiel to Jerusalem to The Door of The Inner Gate of The Temple where the idol of jealousy was that provokes GOD to anger and to jealousy.

And behold, Ezekiel writes, The Glory of The GOD of Israel was there.  The same as the vision that Ezekiel saw in the plain that is recorded in Ezekiel Chapter 1 where he saw The Glory of GOD, and a whirlwind that came out of the north, a great cloud, and a mass of fire coming out from the cloud, and a brightness was around it.

And from the fire came four living creatures, and each had four faces, and four wings.  They had feet like the sole of a calf’s foot.  And they sparkled like the color of polished brass.  And the living creatures had hands of a man under their wings on their four sides.

And their wings were joined one to the other.  They did not turn when they went.  They had four faces.  The face of a man, the face of a lion, the face of an ox, and the face of an eagle.  And two of their wings covered their bodies.  And their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps.  And the living creatures ran.

And wheels appeared.  They were the color of beryl, of emerald green, light blue, golden and yellow.  And they had four rings that were full of eyes that were so high they were dreadful.  And the likeness of the sky over the heads of the living creatures was the color of frightening crystal.

And above the sky was the likeness of a Throne of sapphire, the color of a dark blue gem.  And upon The Throne was THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.  And fire was round about Him.  And a rainbow was in the cloud as in the day of rain.  And when GOD spoke, the four living creatures stood and let down their wings.

Ezekiel saw that vision a second time.

Then GOD said to Ezekiel while he was at The Temple in Jerusalem in the vision, Son of man, lift up your eyes now toward the way of the north and look northward at the Gate of The Altar of this idol of jealousy in the entrance.

And GOD said to Ezekiel, Son of man, do you see what they do?  The great abomination that The House of Israel is doing here, that I should be far away from My Sanctuary?  But turn again, GOD said, and you will see greater abominations.

And GOD brought Ezekiel to The Door of The Court of The Temple and when I looked, Ezekiel said, Behold, a hole in the wall.

Then GOD said to Ezekiel, Dig now in the wall, and look at the Door.  And GOD said to Ezekiel, Go in and look at the wicked abominations that they do here.

So I went in, Ezekiel writes, and saw, and behold, maybe a better word is WOW, every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of The House of Israel carved on the wall all around, in The Temple.

This was in The Temple of GOD in Israel named after Jacob for a People whom GOD chose to be His Servant and Witnesses, to be a Holy People, a Special Treasure to THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, THE GOD OF ISRAEL.

This may have been a vision that GOD was showing Ezekiel, but GOD was showing Ezekiel the great abominations of His People, and why The LORD moved the Babylonians to kill so many Jewish People, and why GOD exiled His People out of The Land of Israel because of His Anger and His Great disappointment in His People, The People Israel.

You know, and I will say it again, The Greatest, Most Important Commandment of GOD is To Obey Him, for our good.  To Obey Every Word GOD Speaks in The Bible from Genesis through Revelation.  Obedience to The LORD your GOD is Life.

DEUTERONOMY 8.3, MATTHEW 4.4, LUKE 4.4, JOHN 18.37

But the majority of people in this world do not obey GOD.  Therefore the calamities happening today throughout the world.  Coronavirus, floods, fires, wars, hate, and the list goes on.

And people are taught by Bible teachers that GOD’S Law of Moses that contains GOD’S Laws, Teachings, and Instructions, GOD’S Spoken Word, is abolished, not valid today.  They don’t have to do them they say.  And that is one of the dominant reasons this world is in trouble with GOD.

And Ezekiel writes, And there stood before them, the abominations, seventy men of the elders of The House of Israel.  And every man had a censer in his hand, a pan with fiery coals and incense in it.  And a thick cloud of incense went up.

Then GOD said to Ezekiel, Son of man, have you seen what the elders of The House of Israel do in the dark?  Every man in the rooms of his idols.  For they say, The LORD does not see me.  The Lord has forsaken The Land of Israel.

The LORD did not forsake The Land of Israel.  But rather The Jewish People turned away from The LORD their GOD and brought upon themselves evil judgments from GOD because of their abominations against The LORD.  The result of warnings ignored, warnings that are written in Torah, The Law of Moses that especially Jewish People should know.

And today, if Jewish People, in fact all People who do not know GOD’S Laws Written in The Law of Moses, history records that they better learn GOD’S Law, quickly, and do what He says, or they will face grief, plenty of grief.

Jesus, Yeshua The Messiah, will not save those who live a life of Disobedience to GOD, Disobeying The Law of Moses, that is The Law of GOD.

JOSHUA 24.26, 2 THESSALONIANS 2.9-12, PSALM 119.142 

And GOD said to Ezekiel, turn yet again, and you shall see greater abominations that they do.

Then GOD brought Ezekiel to the Door of The Gate of The LORD’S House, The Temple, that was toward the north, and behold, there sat women weeping for tammuz, an idol, a foreign god.

Then GOD said to Ezekiel, Have you seen this O Son of Man?  Turn yet again and you will see greater abominations than these.

And GOD brought Ezekiel into the inner court of The LORD’S House, and behold, at the door of The Temple of The LORD between the porch and The Altar, about twenty-five men, with their backs to The Temple, facing toward the east, worshiping the sun.

Then GOD said to Ezekiel, Have you seen this O Son of Man?  Is it a light thing to The House of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here?  For they have filled The Land of Israel with violence, and they have returned to provoke Me to anger, and they put the branch to their nose.

The Hebrew for Violence is Hamas, meaning wrong and violence.  Not only were GOD’S Chosen People committing idolatry, they did everything wrong in The Sight of GOD by disobeying everything GOD says.  And they also committed violence in The Land.

And GOD said, They put a branch to their nose.  That is, what they were doing stinks.

Therefore, GOD said, I will also deal in fury.  My Eye will not spare, neither will I have pity.  And though they cry in My Ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

Messiah tells this parable to the world.

The Kingdom of Heaven (The Kingdom of Heaven is GOD) is likened to a man who planted good seed in the field.  But while men were sleeping, his enemy came and planted tares among the wheat, and the enemy went his way.

Tares are noxious weeds that are harmful and corrupt.

And when the grain sprung up and brought forth fruit, then the tares appeared also.

And the servants of the farmer, The farmer in this parable is GOD, said to Him, Sir, did you not plant good seed in the field.  Where did these tares come from?

And the farmer said to them, An enemy has done this.  So the servants said to Him, Will you have us go and gather them up?

But the farmer said, No, lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them.

Let both grow together, He said, until the harvest.  And in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, First gather together the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them.  But gather the wheat into the barn.

And Messiah’s Disciples came to Him and asked Him to explain the parable of the tares of the field.

And Messiah said to them, He that plants the good seed is The Son of Man.  The Son of Man is The Messiah Yeshua, Jesus, THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

The field is the world.  The good seed are The Children of The Kingdom, that is, The Children of GOD.  But the tares are the children of the wicked one.

The enemy that planted the tares is the devil.  The harvest is the end of the world.  And the reapers are The Angels.

And therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire.  So shall it be in the end of the world.

The Son of Man, The Messiah Yeshua, will send forth His Angels, and they shall gather out of His Kingdom all who offend, and those who do iniquity.

All who offend are those who cause people to sin, especially those who teach people not to obey The Law of Moses that is written in the first five books of The Bible.

And they who do iniquity sin against GOD by disobeying The Law of Moses Written in the first five books of The Bible.

1 JOHN 3.4

And GOD will cast them into a furnace of fire where there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth,

And Messiah said, Then shall The Righteous shine forth as the sun in The Kingdom of their Father.

The Righteous Obey GOD by Obeying Torah, The Law of Moses, and have Messiah Yeshua for their Atonement.  They will shine forth as the sun in The Kingdom of Their Father.

And Messiah said, Who has ears to hear, let them hear.

Our study will continue in The Book of Ezekiel from Ezekiel 7.1-27

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, THIS IS AN END TIMES STUDY.

So with that said, let’s read Ezekiel 7.1-27.

I thought that after the first six chapters of Ezekiel that GOD’S anger against His Jewish People for their sins of worshiping idols, and all their abominations of violating Torah, GOD’S Law of Moses, GOD’S anger would cool.  It did not.

In Ezekiel Chapter 7, The Word of The Lord came to Ezekiel.  That is GOD Spoke directly to The Prophet Ezekiel, either Face to face, or GOD Spoke to Ezekiel with His Voice inside his head.  And GOD said, You son of man, thus saith The LORD GOD to The Land of Israel, An end, that is destruction and doom, has come upon the four corners of The Land of Israel.

Now has the end come upon you, and I will send My anger upon you, and will judge you according to your ways, and will repay you for your abominations, their abominations of idolatry.

And My Eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will repay you for your ways, and your abominations shall be in the midst of you, and you shall know that I am The LORD.

Thus saith The LORD, evil, only evil, behold, has come.  Destruction has come.  Destruction has come.  It watches for you.  Behold it has come.  Trouble is near.  Now will I soon pour out fury upon you and accomplish My anger upon you, and I will judge you according to your ways, and repay you for all your abominations.  And My Eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity.  I will repay you according to your ways, and your abominations that are in the midst of you.  And you will know that I am The LORD Who punishes and kills.  Behold the day, behold, it has come.  Pride has spread and flourished.

Neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.  Everyone for their iniquity.  Because it is the stumbling block of their iniquity.  I will do to them according to their way, and according to their crimes will I judge them, and they shall know that I am The LORD.

Ezekiel wrote these Words that GOD spoke to him concerning His Jewish People and The Land of Israel some 2,500 years ago when GOD exiled His People from southern Israel and Jerusalem to Babylon because of their abominations of idolatry, and their sins that follow idolatry, violating GOD’S Laws Written in Torah, The Law of Moses, and following the abominations of the heathen, and polluting The House of The LORD, and mocking The Messengers of GOD, and misusing His Prophets until the wrath of The LORD arose against His People till there was no remedy.

2 CHRONICLES 36.11-21

2,500 years later, today, why is The LORD Speaking to the world as in the days of Ezekiel in His wrath and anger?

Listen to PSALM 2.1-5.  Why do the heathen rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing?

The Kings of the earth set themselves, and The Rulers take counsel together against The LORD, and Against His Anointed, The Messiah Yeshua, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

That is to say, The Kings of the earth, and The Rulers say, Let us tear off, and break away from The Words of GOD’S Mouth, and The Teachings and Doctrine of The Rock of Our Salvation.

He that sits in The Heavens shall laugh, and The LORD shall mock them, and ridicule them.  Then shall He speak to them in His wrath, and anger, and vex them.

DEUTERONOMY 32.1-4

Is that not happening today?  Anger rage, hate, breaking away from the teachings and instructions of GOD?

Here in The United States we have the plague of coronavirus, and so many other diseases, and hatred, and division, murder, riots, fires, we are still involved in wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and who knows where else?  And hurricanes, floods, earth quakes, and more.

Other parts of the world experience the same.  Israel, that follows Torah, GOD’S Laws that no other country follows must be lacking something.  Because Israel has coronavirus, wars with its next door Arab neighbors, and other problems.

The United States has over 17 million cases of coronavirus and 314,000 deaths.

The world has a reported 74 million cases of covid, and 1.6 million deaths.

Coronavirus is not a China virus.   Covid may have started in China, but coronavirus is a judgment and pestilence from THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY that GOD has poured out on the world because the world Disobeys GOD.  The world Disobeys just about every Word GOD Speaks in The Bible.  Same as in the days of Noah.

People may not believe The Bible, or care what GOD says in The Bible, but people should believe GOD’S Judgments that He is pouring out on the world that GOD Speaks of in The Bible because of their disobedience to The Spoken Word of GOD in The Bible.

Here in The United States, and throughout the world, so many people are taught that Jesus abolished, yes that’s the word I read in The Wycliffe Bible Dictionary, abolished, that Jesus abolished the ceremonial legislation.  Meaning that Jesus abolished The Law of Moses because Jesus fulfilled the ceremonial law by observing its rites.

And by the death of Jesus, this false doctrine teaches that The Laws that are GOD’S Laws, The Words from GOD’S Mouth, and GOD’S Doctrine are abolished, and have no validity.  Plus you are taught that you are not under The Law.  This is all man made fiction, and lies.

BUT WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT HIS LAW?  WHAT DOES JESUS CHRIST, GOD ALMIGHTY, SAY ABOUT THE LAW OF MOSES?

GOD ALMIGHTY, THE MESSIAH YESHUA SAYS, FOR THIS CAUSE I CAME INTO THE WORLD THAT I SHOULD BEAR WITNESS TO THE TRUTH.

THE TRUTH IS TORAH, THE LAW OF MOSES.

JESUS CAME INTO THE WORLD TO TESTIFY THAT THE LAW OF MOSES IS THE TRUTH AND MUST BE OBEYED.

JOHN 18.37, 2 THESSALONIANS 2.9-12, PSALM 119.142

The results of that lie that Jesus abolished The Law of Moses are GOD’S Judgments of hate, division, coronavirus, wars, murder, fires, earthquakes, floods, etc. and because people just don’t care what GOD says.

GOD gives us examples from the very beginning of The Bible of what happens to people and the world for Disobeying GOD.

Adam and Eve lost their Salvation and Eternal Life and died because they Disobeyed GOD.

GENESIS 2.16-17, GENESIS 3.1-6, 23-24, GENESIS 5.5

Enoch, one person mentioned in The Bible in his day whom GOD took up to Heaven, because Enoch walked with GOD.  Meaning Enoch Obeyed The Words that GOD Spoke, but the rest of the world apparently perished because they Disobeyed The Words that GOD Spoke.  Like today.

GENESIS 5.24

Everyone knows about Noah and his ark.  GOD killed everyone in the world by a flood except Noah and his family of eight, because GOD saw that the world was wicked, like today, they disobeyed The Words GOD Spoke.  But Noah Obeyed Every Word GOD Spoke.  GENESIS 6.1-9

Those teachings of Adam and Eve, Enoch, and Noah, are in the first six Chapters of The Bible in Genesis that are the beginning of The Bible, and the beginning of The Law of Moses.

The Law of Moses is the foundation of The Bible that contain GOD’S Teachings to Obey GOD.

And note that Adam and Eve, and Enoch, and Noah and his family were not Jewish.

And teaching that Jesus abolished The Law of Moses, and that The Law is no longer valid, is the same as satan saying to Eve, Even though GOD Commanded you not to eat from that tree lest you die, you will not surely die.

Bible Teachers must teach The Truth, to Obey Every Word GOD Speaks, as Moses, Jesus, and Peter teach in

DEUTERONOMY 8.3, MATTHEW 4.4, LUKE 4.4, ISAIAH 40.8, 1 PETER 1.23-25, AND JAMES 3.1

Then there’s the false doctrine of the trinity.  Three Different GODS, One GOD.

Here’s what The New Bible Dictionary, second edition, by Tyndale Publishers writes about the trinity;

That there is but one GOD, that The Father, The Son, and The Spirit is each GOD; and that The Father, The Son, and The Spirit is each a distinct Person.

The word DISTINCT means Different in nature or quality, and dissimilar.  Dissimilar means not similar, unlike, and different.  In other words, the trinity is three different persons, or three different gods, but one GOD.

The trinity is a contradiction.  A direct opposition between things compared.  In other words, it is impossible for both right and wrong to be the same.  That three different gods are one GOD.

The Bible teaches One GOD, the trinity teaches three gods.

The teaching and understanding of many throughout the world is that Jesus Christ abolished The Law of Moses.

That Jesus who abolished The Law of Moses is not The Jesus Christ of The Bible, but another Jesus Christ, or another god.  Because THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE BIBLE IS GOD ALMIGHTY.  AND JESUS CHRIST, GOD ALMIGHTY, WOULD NEVER ABOLISH THE LAW OF MOSES.

HEBREW BIBLE ISAIAH 9.5, MICAH 5.1, CHRISTIAN BIBLE ISAIAH 9.6, MICAH 5.2, JOHN 12.44-45, JOHN 14.9

Also Rejecting Messiah Yeshua, Who is Jesus Christ, GOD ALMIGHTY is rejecting GOD.

HEBREW BIBLE ISAIAH 9.5

Genesis 1.1 reads, In the beginning, GOD created the heavens and the earth.  The Hebrew Word for GOD written throughout Genesis Chapter 1 is Elohim meaning GODS, G-O-D-S for The ONE GOD.  Because GOD is The Father, The Son of GOD, The Messiah Yeshua Who is Jesus Christ, The Spirit, The Holy Spirit, Ha Shem, and much more.  THEY ARE ONE AND THE SAME GOD, AND NOT DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER.

The Shema in Deuteronomy 6.4 reads, Shema Yisrael, Adonai Elohaynu, Adonai Ekhud.  Hear O Israel The LORD Our GOD, The LORD is One.

Shema means Hear and Obey.  Hear and Obey Every Word GOD Speaks.  And there is only One GOD.

The Hebrew for One as in One GOD is  Ekhud meaning One but a Plurality of One.  GOD is a Plurality of One.  That Plurality of One GOD is that GOD  is The Father, The Son, The Messiah Yeshua, The Spirit, The Holy Spirit, Ha Shem, and more.

All are One and The Same GOD.  There are no differences, there are no distinctions because all are One and The Same GOD.  There is only One GOD.  GOD Teaches that throughout The Scriptures.

Now, everybody wants to go to Heaven.  The Bible doesn’t write a whole lot about Heaven and hell, but GOD gives us some insight of both.  Hell is a place of torments.  While Heaven is a place of Beauty, and Magnificence, and Perfection, and Peace, and Eternal Life, and no sin, where  GOD will wipe away all tears from your eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things will have passed away.

LUKE 16.23, REVELATION 21.1-5, REVELATION 22

Why does GOD take people to Heaven?  Because they have atonement either today in Messiah Yeshua, or before Messiah Yeshua, through the animal sacrifice, but they lived their life by Every Word GOD Speaks in The Bible, or they Blessed The Jewish People and Israel.

Today the people who go to hell are those who lived their lives sinning against GOD by violating GOD’S Law of Moses.  1 John 3.4 or believed in Messiah Yeshua, but did not live their life by Every Word GOD Speaks in The Bible that includes The Law of Moses.

DEUTERONOMY 8.3, MATTHEW 4.4

So, we don’t know what our body will be like in Heaven but our body will be like The Body of GOD, Messiah Yeshua.  For The Bible says, when GOD ALMIGHTY, THE MESSIAH YESHUA shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

Shalom and Happy Hanukkah,

Today is the second day of Hanukkah, an eight day Jewish Holiday.

Hanukkah in Hebrew means Dedication, for The Rededication of The Second Temple in 165 B.C.E. / B.C.  The result of victory and heroism of The Jewish People, led by The Maccabees who heroically fought a guerilla war, and won against a mighty Syrian army that ruled Israel with an anti-Semitic iron fist.

Maccabee in Hebrew means Hammer.

And although Hanukkah is not a Commanded Festival of The LORD, Hanukkah is Prophesied in The Bible, and tells us why there is Hanukkah, which we will address in this Message.  You might be shocked.

Hanukkah is celebrated by The Jewish People throughout the world as a great Festival of joy and happiness.  It is a celebration of Jewish heroism, and an important time of remembrance for Jewish People, and all Peoples.

Why is Hanukkah important for non Jewish People?

Because, had the Syrians succeeded in destroying The Jewish People and Israel from off the face of the earth as so many nations have tried, and failed, the Sacred Writings of Tnach, The Old Testament Scriptures would have been destroyed by the enemies of GOD, along with The Jewish People who Wrote The Bible, The Old and The New Testaments.

And without The Jewish People there would be no Jewish Messiah, Yeshua Ha Mashiakh, or as He is called in Christianity, Jesus Christ.

There would be no Atonement, no Salvation, and no New Testament.  The New Testament is written by Jewish People.

The only writings about GOD would be the fictions of men.

And without The Jewish People, and without The Bible, there would be no knowledge of GOD, no understanding of GOD.  There would be no Biblical Teaching of GOD.  There would be no Biblical Teaching of The Word of GOD.  No Biblical Teaching of GOD’S Laws, Teachings, His Instructions , and His Commandments.  And there would be no Biblical Teaching that THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD AND NO OTHERS.

There would be no Messiah Yeshua for Atonement. No Salvation, no Eternal Life in Heaven, but eternal death, and hell for all mankind if  there were no Jewish People, and no Bible that Jewish People wrote, to learn and know The Truth of GOD.

But fortunately for the world, GOD has Ordained His Jewish People to be an Eternal People, for The LORD Our GOD protects His People from the hands of all her enemies.

ISAIAH 66.22 

Yet The Jewish People suffer bitter judgment from GOD because of Jewish sin.  Hanukkah is the result of Jewish sin to be explained a little later.

The enemies of The Jewish People and Israel are the enemies of GOD, and cursed.

GENESIS 12.3 

HOW IS THE WORLD BLESSED IN THE JEWISH PEOPLE?

The world is Blessed in The Jewish People when they Bless Israel and The Jewish People.  The world is Blessed in The Jewish People by having Atonement in The Jewish Messiah Yeshua.  And the world is Blessed in The Jewish People when they live their lives according to all GOD’S Laws written in The Law of Moses that GOD gave to Israel for all the world to live by, thus preventing you from sinning against GOD.

1 JOHN 3.4

JESUS NEVER ABOLISHED THE LAW OF MOSES,

GOD’S formula for Salvation and Eternal Life in Heaven and a good healthy life on earth is having Faith in Messiah Yeshua for your Atonement, and living your life by Every Word GOD Speaks in The Bible from Genesis through Revelation that includes The Law of Moses that is not difficult to do.

GENESIS 12.3, DEUTERONOMY 8.3, JOSHUA 1.8-9, ISAIAH 43.10-12, ISAIAH 53.10, MATTHEW 4.4, LUKE 4.4 

Hanukkah is not taught in The Bible, though The Prophet Daniel Prophesies of the sore events of Hanukkah that we will look into.

Also, Yeshua The Messiah was in The Temple during Hanukkah, and asked the question, If You are The Messiah, tell us plainly,  And Messiah told them plainly that He is The Messiah, and you don’t believe.  And He said, I and My Father are One.

JOHN 10.22-33

Hanukkah, or The Rededication of The Second Temple took place on the 25th day of The Hebrew month Kislev in 165 B.C.E./B.C.  This year, the first day of Hanukkah was yesterday, December 11th.

The Temple was Rededicated because the madman  king of Syria, Antiochus Epiphanes, the Jew hater who ruled Israel at the time, polluted The Temple of GOD into a pagan shrine with his Greek gods, and his Greek goddesses, with their Greek statues, and Greek idols, and their pig sacrifices on The Temple Altar.

The Rededication of The Temple took place immediately after The Maccabees defeated the Syrian army.

The Jewish People quickly took back their Temple which was disgusting from all the Greek abominations.  The People took back their City, The City of Jerusalem, and their Country, The Land of Israel.  And they kicked out the Syrian king Antiochus Epiphanes and his armies from The Land of Israel.

The Jewish fighters were led by The Maccabees who were a Priestly Dynasty of Levites of The Hasmonean family.

As a point of information, The Hasmonean Period in Jewish History began with The Jewish rebellion against the anti-Jewish atrocities of  Antiochus Epiphanes that brought on Israel’s great Hanukkah victory.

It was also the emergence of the three main Jewish Sects of the day.  The Pharisees, The Sadducees. and The Essenes.

The Pharisees accepted The Oral Law, that is The Talmud, the commentary of Torah, The Law of Moses.  They maintained the belief in the immortality of the soul.  And they taught the resurrection of the dead, the existence of angels, and Divine Providence, GOD’S Care and Guidance over all His creatures.  And they believed in freedom of will, and not predestination.

The Sadducees were a Priestly aristocracy who refused to believe in angels, in resurrection, and in the immortality of the soul.  And did not accept the concept of a binding oral law, The Talmud, but adhered only to those Laws written in Torah, The Law of Moses.

The Essenes were a Religious group that flourished in Israel from the mid second century B.C.E./B.C. to the destruction of The Second Temple in 70 C.E./A.D.

Most scholars believe that The Dead Sea Scrolls, that are pre Christian, were written by The Essenes.  The Essenes held eschatological beliefs, the doctrine concerning the fate of human beings after death, and the end of days .  They believed in Predestination, The Community of The Elect for Salvation, and the children of darkness for destruction.

The term Maccabees is taken from The Hebrew Mah’kah’vah, meaning Hammer, or Mah’kah’veem, meaning Hammers.

So this Antiochus Epiphanes, the Syrian king, set out to destroy and end Judaism, like Hitler.

Among his insane edicts, he ordered the end of all Torah observance for Jewish People.  Thus for Jews  being forced to abolish all GOD’S Laws written in The Law of Moses, that would make us like all other Religions that reject GOD’S Laws Written in Torah, The Law of Moses.  Thus making Judaism a lawless people in The Sight of GOD.

GOD says, I will Bless those who Bless you, and curse those who curse you.  GENESIS 12.3

GOD cursed Antiochus Epiphanes, killing him one year after The Jewish People Rededicated The Temple to its Rightful Owner, THE KING OF ISRAEL, GOD ALMIGHTY.

The reason Hanukkah is an eight day holiday is because when The Temple was Rededicated to The LORD, The Pure Oil found in The Temple that was used for the burning of the great seven branch Temple Menorah was only sufficient to burn for one day.  But miraculously the oil burned for eight days until more oil was provided for The Menorah to burn continuously.

Today, The Hanukkah Menorah, called in Hebrew, Hanukkiyah, has nine branches, as compared to The Menorah’s seven branches, the design that GOD revealed to Moses on Mount Sinai.

EXODUS 25.8-9, 31-40

The nine branches of The Hanukah Hanukkiyah are for each day of the eight day Hanukkah Celebration.  And the middle candle, called The Shammash, meaning Servant, is used to light the candles,  starting with one candle on the first day and adding a candle each day for eight days.

Let’s look at The Biblical Prophesy that GOD gave to The Prophet Daniel some 374 years before Hanukkah that is written in Daniel 8.

DANIEL 8.1  King Belshazzar was the last king of the Babylonian Empire.  He was the king who became famous for the handwriting on the wall in Daniel 5.  His Empire consisted of current day Iraq, Syria, part of Turkey, much of Iran, Lebanon, the northern portion of Saudi Arabia, and Israel.  And GOD gave Daniel this Prophetic vision.

Again, GOD gave this vision to Daniel some 374 years before Hanukkah in which GOD Prophesies of the king of Syria, Antiochus Epihanes, the Jew hating king, and the tragic events to The Jewish People leading up to Hanukkah, and what The Jewish People did to bring on Hanukkah.

DANIEL 8.2-8  The ram is explained later in the Prophesy as being symbolic of The great Persian Empire of 2,500 years ago.

The two horns of the ram are symbolic of the kings of Persia and Media.

Today, Iran is a combination of those two ancient countries.

The Persian Empire was huge.  It included the entire Middle East from Ethiopia to India.

And the one horn higher than the other is symbolic of Cyrus The Great, the Founder of The Persian Empire.

The ram, or The Persian Empire was so powerful, no army could stand against it.

But appearing in the vision is Greece, the male goat in The Prophesy.  The notable, or remarkable horn is symbolic of The King of Greece, Alexander The Great.

The Greek army led by their twenty year old king, Alexander The Great, destroyed The Great Persian Army.

GOD rules in The Kingdom of men, and He will give it to whomsoever He will, good or bad, weak or strong.

HEBREW BIBLE DANIEL 4.14, CHRISTIAN BIBLE DANIEL 4.17, DANIEL 5.21

Greece became a great empire spanning three continents, Asia, that included the entire Middle East to India, and Africa, and Europe.  But the remarkable horn that was broken was its King, Alexander The Great.  He died at the age of 33.

And the four notable horns that replaced Alexander were four of his Generals who ruled The Empire.  And one of those Generals was Seleucus who ruled Syria, and Babylon which is current day Iraq, and Phoenicia, current day Lebanon.  And Israel.

Toward the four winds of Heaven perhaps means that GOD gave those four Generals the power to be the most powerful Kingdoms on earth in their day.

DANIEL 8.8-10  The little horn that descended from General Seleucus years later was Antiochus Epiphanes, the ruthless Jew hating king of Syria.  A madman who persecuted and killed Jews, desecrated The Temple in Jerusalem with his abominable idols, and hate of Torah, GOD’s Laws that are written in The Law of Moses.

Antiochus hated The GOD of CREATION.  And that is a picture of the Anti Christ.  Anti Christ means Anti GOD.

The Pleasant Land is The Land of Israel.  And The Pleasant Land Israel has been conquered numerous times by Gentile nations.

First Assyria conquered northern Israel in 722 B.C.E./B.C.  Then the Babylonians conquered southern Israel and Jerusalem in 586 B.C.E./B.C.,  then The Persians, The Greeks, and The Syrians under Seleucus.  Then The Romans. followed by The Byzantine Empire, the eastern part of the late Roman Empire.  Then The Muslim Arabs in 600 C.E./ A.D.  Then The Turks, The Egyptians, and then The Crusaders who slaughtered thousands of Jews and Muslims, and outlawed Jews from living in Jerusalem.

Then The Muslims again under Saladin conquered Jerusalem.  Yet The Crusaders kept up their raids of death in Israel.  Then The Mamelukes, soldier slaves of Egypt.  Then The Ottoman Empire in 1517.

Even Napolean took his shot at Israel in 1798.  And he had some victories in Gaza, Haifa, Hebron, and Jaffa.  But by June of 1799, GOD laid upon Napolean and his French army a plague that decimated them.  And they left Israel and returned to Egypt.

And today The Palestinian Arabs yearn to conquer Israel, a Land that never belonged to them.  They should investigate GENESIS 12.3.

And The Holy One Of Israel, The Messiah Yeshua, will Return in the future, and destroy all the enemies of Israel, past, present, and future by melting their bodies.

ZECHARIAH 14.1-5,12

DANIEL 8.11  Antiochus the mad man magnified himself against The Prince of The Host Who is MESSIAH YESHUA, GOD ALMIGHTY, The Prince of The Jewish People.  Antiochus Epiphines called himself GOD, saying, he is GOD manifested.

Antiochus ended the sacrifice at The Temple.

The future anti Christ will also call himself GOD.  And he will also stop the sacrifice at the future Temple bringing on great world wide tribulation.

2 THESSALONIANS 2.1-4, DANIEL 9.27

The place of Antiochus Epiphines’ Sanctuary was The Temple.  And GOD cast his place down, destroying him because he polluted The Temple with his idols, and pig sacrifices, and pagan worship.

As will the future anti Christ.

MATTHEW 24.15-22

Antiochus Epiphines and the anti Christ are similar.

DANIEL 8.12  To my knowledge, Jewish People are rarely, if ever, taught that Jewish transgression against GOD brought on the horrible anti Semitic events that led up to Hanukkah.

The word Transgression written in Daniel 8.12 in Hebrew is Fah’sah, meaning, Rebellion, Sin, Transgression, and Trespass.

Jewish transgression was Disobedience to GOD.  Refusing to obey GOD’S Laws Written in Torah, The Law of Moses.  And that brought on the horrors to The Jewish People because GOD’S Jewish People destroyed The Truth.  They disobeyed Their GOD by disobeying Torah Written in the first five Books of The Bible.

DANIEL 8.13-27  Then Daniel heard a Kadosh, a Holy One, a Saint speaking to another in the vision, saying, How long will there be no sacrifice?  How long will The Temple be desecrated?  How long will The Jewish People be persecuted and killed?

For six and a half years.  Then The Sanctuary will be cleansed and purified, and made right.  And Syrian rule upon Israel will come to an end, and the persecution and killing Jews will stop.

And The angel spoke to Daniel while he was in a deep sleep on his face toward the ground.  And explained to Daniel the reason for GOD’S anger against His Jewish People Israel.  Because of Jewish disobedience to The LORD their GOD, disobeying The Spoken Word of GOD in Torah.

And the angel explained the end of the persecutions that brought on Hanukkah.  And the meaning of the ram and the goat.

Explaining that GOD, Ha Shem, The GOD OF ISRAEL, brought upon His Jewish People Judgment from the madman king Antiochus Epiphanes because of their sins of violating Torah.  Continuously rejecting GOD and His Laws Written in The Law of Moses.

But GOD pardons sin.  He is Gracious with Great Kindness, and never forsakes His People.

And this is how GOD forgives sin.  GOD requires Atonement for your sins.  And Atonement can only be made through Faith in The Jewish Messiah Yeshua, followed by Obedience to Every Word GOD Speaks in The Bible from Genesis through Revelation that is not difficult.  There is no other way, for it is The Blood that makes Atonement for the soul.

LEVITICUS 17.8,9,11, DEUTERONOMY 8.3, ISAIAH 53.10, EZEKIEL 18.21, MATTHEW 4.4, LUKE 4.4, 1 JOHN 3.4, 1 JOHN 5.3. 1 JOHN 1.9

Continuing with GOD’S Prophesy in Daniel 8.24, Antiochus’ power was mighty but not by his own power. And he shall destroy the Mighty Holy People, ( The Jewish People).

Antiochus Epiphines’ power came from GOD.

1 CHRONICLES 29.11-12, 2 THESSALONIANS 2,5-17, ISAIAH 45.7

Paul writes in 2 Thessalonians 2.10, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they received not The Love of The Truth that they might be saved.

The Bible, including 2 Thessalonians 2.10, is written to Jews and Gentiles to Obey The Truth, The law of Moses, that you shall be saved.

Antiochus proclaimed peace to The Jewish People but instead killed them.

And Antiochus stood up to The Prince of princes, Yeshua The Messiah, GOD ALMIGHTY.  But GOD killed him without hand, by a fatal disease.

Our Message this morning will be from Ezekiel 6.1-14.

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, GOD WAS HEARTBROKEN BECAUSE OF THE IDOLATROUS HEARTS OF HIS PEOPLE.

So with that said, let’s read Ezekiel 6.1-14.

Let’s review what GOD said to Ezekiel in this Chapter.

GOD said, Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.

And say to the mountains, Hear The Word of The LORD GOD.  Thus Saith The LORD GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Behold, I, even I will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

The high places in Israel are where the idols of The Children of Israel were for their pagan worship.  And because of those high places and idols on the mountains of Israel, GOD brought death and destruction to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys.

And your altars shall be desolate, GOD said, and your images shall be broken, and I will throw down your dead before your idols.

And I will lay the dead carcasses of The Children of Israel before their idols, and I will scatter your bones around your altars.

And all your homes, and your cities, shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate, and your altars will be laid waste, and made desolate.  And your idols shall be broken and cease, and your images cut down and abolished.

And the dead shall fall in the midst of The People and they shall know that I am The LORD.

Yet I will leave a remnant that you shall have some that escape the sword among the nations when you shall be scattered throughout the countries.

And they that escape of you, GOD said, shall remember The LORD among the nations where they will be carried captives, because I am heartbroken with their whorish heart, worshipping idols.  They have departed from Me.  And with their eyes that go a whoring after their idols, and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

And they shall know that I am The LORD.  That I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.

And The LORD said, Thus Saith The LORD, Strike your hands together, and stomp with your foot, and say, O, for all the evil abominations of The House of Israel, for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

He that is far off shall die of the pestilence, and he that is near shall fall by the sword, and he that remains, and is besieged shall die by the famine.  Thus I will accomplish My fury upon them.

Then shall they know that I am The LORD when their dead shall be among their idols all around their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every strong tree, the place where they offered sweet savor to all their idols.

So will I stretch out My Hand upon them, and make The Land a desolation, more desolate than the desert, in all their homes, and they shall know that I am The LORD.

GOD’S Chosen People, The Children of Israel turned away from Their GOD, The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, by going after their idols, and worshipping them rather than Worshipping Their GOD, THE GOD OF ISRAEL.  And because of their abominations, GOD was heartbroken.  And GOD brought great evil upon His People.

We all know what it means to be heartbroken.  Suffering from sorrow, grief, disappointment, and crushed.  GOD was Heartbroken because His Jewish People turned from Him to worship idols, and the evils they committed in all their abominations by being prideful, yes, prideful, being Disobedient to Every Word GOD Spoke to them.

GOD Chose The Jewish People to be His Chosen People Whom GOD set His love upon, calling His People, a Holy People, and a Special People to Himself out of all the peoples that are on the face of the earth.

EZEKIEL 6.9, DEUTERONOMY 7.6

And GOD was Heartbroken with His Jewish People because Holy People, whether you are Jewish or not Jewish, Holy People Obey GOD, Every Word GOD Speaks in The Bible from Genesis through Revelation that includes Torah, The Law of Moses.  Holy People do not go after idols and other gods. That is paganism.  And Holy People believe in One LORD Whose One Name is Yeshua, meaning Salvation, Deliverance, Safe, Help, and Victory.

ZECHARIAH 14.9, DEUTERONOMY 8.3, ISAIAH 12.2, MATTHEW 4.4, LUKE 4.4

The Bible is GOD’S Book.

The Bible is written by Jewish Prophets such as Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, David, and others who recorded The Words that GOD Spoke to them for the world to read, and learn, and do.  Other writers in The Bible were GODLY Jewish People who Wrote Words that GOD laid upon their hearts.

And The Writers of The New Testament in The Bible, that is as Jewish as The Old Testament, were all Jewish.  Perhaps Luke was not Jewish.

The Bible is a Special Book about GOD.  The Words that GOD Spoke, His Acts, His Wonders, and His Miracles that He did during Bible times are recorded in The Bible.

GOD Teaches the world about His Creation, and that He Spoke His Creation into existence.  And GOD Teaches the world about Eternity in Heaven, or eternity in hell.

GENESIS 1.1-31, PSALM 33.6-9, LUKE 16.22-23

And GOD Teaches the world that there is Only One GOD and No Others.

GOD never teaches a trinity of one GOD being three different persons, or three different gods.

GOD Teaches history in The Bible from The Beginning to Eternity.  And GOD Teaches the world the beginning of humanity.  The Gentiles who are not Jewish, and The Jewish People who are from Abraham and Sarah.  But GOD teaches that all humanity comes from Adam and Eve.

And GOD Teaches the world about His Jewish Messiah Yeshua Who is THE ALMIGHTY GOD, THE ONE AND ONLY GOD Who came to Israel 2,000 years ago to be The New Covenant for our Atonement by giving His Life as a Human Being, and shedding His Blood, for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.

LEVITICUS 17.8, 9, 11

MESSIAH NEVER CAME TO ABOLISH THE LAW OF MOSES.   

Messiah also came to live His Life according to Torah, The Law of Moses, leaving the world an example how not to sin by living His Life by Every Word Written in The Law of Moses.

1 PETER 2.21-22, 1 JOHN 3.4, 1 JOHN 5.3

GOD Teaches in The Bible that Every Word He Speaks from Genesis through Revelation is for the Heavens, and the earth.  Meaning, that GOD requires all in the Heavens, and all on the earth to Obey Every Word He Speaks in The Bible.

DEUTERONOMY 32.1-4

And GOD Teaches The world in The Bible, If you live your life by Every Word He Speaks from Genesis through Revelation, GOD sees you as Righteous and Just.  And He will Bless you with a Good, Prosperous life on earth, and you will inherit Eternal Life in Heaven.

Just about every Word GOD Speaks in The Bible, He Spoke to Jewish People, making His Chosen People His Servant and His Witnesses from The Words GOD Spoke to them.

How do we know that GOD created the Heavens and the earth and all that are in them?  And Spoke The Creation into existence?  Because GOD Spoke those very Words to Moses, that Moses recorded, and are written in The Bible from Genesis through Deuteronomy for the world to know, and believe, and live by.

And Those Spoken Words of GOD given to Moses are The Law of Moses, called in Hebrew Ha Torah, The Torah, The Law.

And how do we know how to live a GODLY Life Pleasing to GOD, doing The Will of GOD, and knowing that GOD will Bless you with a Good, Prosperous, and Successful Life when you do what GOD says?  You know because GOD gave Moses all His Laws, Commandments, Statutes, and Ordinances for all humanity to live our lives for our good.

And GOD tells us how to be Blessed, and how to be Cursed.

DEUTERONOMY 28.1-68

And how do we know what we must do to inherit Eternal Life in Heaven?

We know what we must do because GOD gives us examples of people in The Bible whom GOD took to Heaven.  And GOD tells us why He brought them to Heaven from The Words GOD Spoke to Moses in Torah, The Law of Moses.

Enoch is first in The Bible whom GOD took up into Heaven because Enoch Walked With GOD.  Meaning, Enoch followed GOD by being Obedient to Every Word GOD Spoke in His day some 6,000 years ago.

Enoch was in the lineage of Adam and Eve, as we all are.  But I believe that Enoch was alive while Adam and Eve were living.  And I’m pretty sure Adam and Eve told Enoch, and others in their family of great, great, great, etc., grandchildren, those who would listen to them, about satan tricking them in The Garden of Eden to Disobey GOD, rather than satan telling them to Obey GOD.  Remember, the people back then lived for many hundreds of years.

Everyone knows the story that GOD Commanded Adam not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  For in the day you eat from that tree, GOD said to Adam, You will surely die.  I believe the entire world knows this story, and that Adam and Eve Disobeyed GOD, and they died as GOD promised Adam if he Disobeyed Him.  GOD created Adam and Eve without sin to live forever in a Garden of Eden world.

But Enoch was different than the world.  Enoch took Adam and Eve’s story to heart and he obeyed every Word GOD spoke in his day.  How did Enoch know every Word GOD Spoke?  I’m not sure, but GOD always has His People to Preach The Truth of what GOD says.

But most of the world see the story of Adam and Eve, and satan, in The Garden of Eden as a nice little bedtime story, but ignore its great importance.  And the importance of that story is the same today as it was then.  If you Obey what GOD Says, you inherit Eternal Life in Heaven.  But those who Disobey what GOD says in The Bible receive eternal death from GOD while they are yet alive in hell.

LUKE 16.19-31

IS ANYBODY LISTENING?

Adam was nine hundred and thirty years old when he died.  The Bible doesn’t say how old Eve was when she died.  But Enoch was three hundred and sixty five years old when GOD took him up to Heaven.

GENESIS 2.1-3,15-17, GENESIS 3.1-4, GENESIS 5.5,23

Noah and his wife, and their three sons, and their wives are also recorded in The Bible as being Right with GOD.  We know that Noah was Right with GOD because GOD told Noah that he was a Just man and Perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with GOD.

GOD SEES US AS PERFECT WHEN WE OBEY EVERY WORD GOD SPEAKS IN THE BIBLE. 

1 KINGS 8.61 

The Hebrew for PERFECT is SHAH’LAYM, meaning, Perfect, Peace, Safe and Sound.

And for the same reasons that Enoch knew how to walk with GOD from the story of Adam and Eve, and GODLY People Preaching The Spoken Word of GOD, Noah lived His Life by Every Word GOD Spoke.  And GOD rewarded Noah and his family by saving them from the flood, while GOD destroyed everyone else on earth, the millions or billions of people in Noah’s day, BECAUSE THEY DISOBEYED GOD.  THEY DISOBEYED THE SPOKEN WORD OF GOD.

IS ANYBODY LISTENING?

Humanity knows what GOD requires of them.  And that is to Obey GOD.  Because The Breath that we breathe is The Spirit of GOD.

The Spirit of GOD is in every human being, every living thing, and every thing.  GOD is our life.  People know if they are Obeying GOD or not.  GOD has His ways of telling people right from wrong.  And doing wrong is pride.  I’ll do it my way, not your way GOD.  Pride.

AND GOD ALWAYS HAS HIS PEOPLE TO TEACH THE TURTH.  AND THE TRUTH IS EVERY WORD GOD SPEAKS.  NOT ONE SPOKEN WORD OF GOD IS EVER ABOLISHED. 

DEUTERONOMY 8.3, ISAIAH 40.8, MATTHEW 4.4, LUKE 4.4 

Today we have The Bible to read what GOD Says. We read The Blessings for Obeying what GOD Says, and we also read The Curses for Disobeying what GOD Says as The Children of Israel found out from what we read in Ezekiel Chapter 6.

JOB 32.8, JEREMIAH 10.23, COLOSSIANS 1.17

In the days of Noah, GOD said the people were wicked, meaning evil, wrong, ungodly, by being  Disobedient to what GOD Said.  Because, like today, they obeyed nothing GOD Said.  And that is sin.  And GOD calls that Pride.  But Noah obeyed GOD.

IS ANYBODY LISTENING TO GOD?

GENESIS 6.5-9, GENESIS 7.1-5, ISAIAH 24.4-6, 1 JOHN 3.4

Next to go to Heaven and Recorded in The Bible is Abraham.  I’m assuming that Sarah his wife is with him as is his son Isaac, and hopefully their family, and of course Jacob, and hopefully his family.

When GOD told Moses the history of man from the day of Creation recorded from Genesis 1.1, GOD told Moses what He was thinking about Abraham when GOD and Abraham were walking side by side just before GOD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.  GOD thought to Himself, Shall I hide from Abraham the thing which I do, seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him.

For I know him that he will command his children and his household after him, and they will Keep The Way of The LORD to do Justice and Righteousness.

GENESIS 18.17-19

Abraham is in Heaven because he Obeyed GOD, and I’m sure Sarah, his wife is with him.

IS ANYBODY LISTENING?

LUKE 16.22-31, VERSE 22

Yeshua/Jesus The Messiah also leaves us an example to follow to get to Heaven, Don’t sin.  Sin is Violating The Spoken Word of GOD Written in The Law of Moses and throughout The Bible.

1 PETER 2.21-22, 1 JOHN 1.9, 1 JOHN 3.4

GOD was heartbroken because He Personally gave His Word, and His Laws, and His Teachings to His Chosen People.  But unfortunately, many of them blew it.  They refused to obey what GOD Commanded them.  And as GOD said, And they shall know that I am The LORD, and I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.
