GENESIS 22.15-17 MORE ON THE END TIMES

Shalom:

It seems to me from all the things that are happening these days that we are right around the corner to the events that will lead up to The LORD’s return.  So, this morning we will continue our study on the end times, the days that lead up to Messiah’s return, and the 1,000 year Millennium.  And our study verses will be the same as last week.  Genesis 22.15-17.

Read Genesis 22.15-17

Briefly reviewing these words that GOD gave to Abraham in Verse 17, “And your seed, or your descendants, Abraham shall possess the gate of his enemies,” meaning, the descendants of Abraham and Isaac; Isaac because GOD said to Abraham in Genesis 21.12, “For in Isaac shall your seed be called,” meaning, Abraham’s descendants are all those people over the past 4,000 years who descend from Abraham and Isaac, who are the Jewish people.

And Abraham’s descendants also include all non-Jewish people, who as Paul teaches in Galatians 3.7, writing, “They which are of faith are the children of Abraham.”  Faith is BELIEVING GOD AND MESSIAH, and faith includes obedience to GOD.  And obedience to GOD is obedience to His Law of Moses.  This teaching applies to Jewish people as well as non-Jewish people.  There is no difference.  Thus, non-Jewish people who are of faith are also the children of Abraham, fully joining in with the Jewish people.

So, getting back to Genesis 22.17 where GOD said to Abraham, “and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies,” gate meaning cities, and enemies meaning those who hate the Jewish people and Israel; the meaning is this.  GOD’s people, the descendants of Abraham whose faith is in GOD and Messiah, whose faith includes obedience to GOD, His Law of Moses, and His Commandments, will during the 1,000 year Millennium, rule with governmental powers in those cities and countries that were enemies to the Jews and had hatred toward Israel.  Unfortunately, that hatred is widespread today.  So, GOD’s words to Abraham recorded some 4,000 years ago, saying, “your descendants, Abraham, will take possession of the cities of their enemies”, will be fulfilled during the 1,000 year Millennium.

JEREMIAH 23.5-6

REIGN – MAHLAKH – As King, Messiah will rule the earth with the administration of GOD’s Laws.  His Law of Moses.

PROSPER – SAYKHEL – succeed with wisdom, understanding and consideration.

EXECUTE JUDGMENT AND JUSTICE – Messiah will govern according to His Law of Moses which includes justice.

IN THE EARTH – in the world, the nations and countries

SAVE – YAHSHAH – free and safe “Yeshua comes from this word Yahshah”

And in the Millennium, GOD’s people, like Messiah, will govern the same way in those cities and countries, with success, wisdom, understanding and consideration.  The governing will be right according to GOD’s Law of Moses and His Commandments.

Okay, as I said at the outset of this message, because of the things that are happening these days, I believe we are right around the corner to the end of days events that will lead up to Messiah’s return.  And I don’t think it’s that far off in the future.  I’ll back up my thoughts with Scripture.

DANIEL 11.39 A leader of great armies will divide the land of Israel.  That leader will be the anti-Christ.

HE – anti-Christ
STRONGHOLDS – his defense, his fortresses
STRANGE god – heathen god
ACKNOWLEDGE THIS STRANGE god – with respect and reverence

SEE VERSE 31     ARMS – military forces, a mighty and powerful army.

So, the anti-Christ who will divide the land of Israel, give part of Israel to the Palestians Arabs, will be a leader of great armies.

FOR GAIN – FOR A PRICE

I believe that price will be that Israel will be allowed to build their Temple in Jerusalem.

MALACHI 4.5-6  I believe, when the land is divided, GOD will send His prophet Elijah to His Jewish people in Israel.

VERSE 5 – not in Scripture, but I think Elijah will warn about the coming Tribulation, he will preach repentance as John the Baptizer/Immerser did, the coming of Messiah, and coming Millennium.

VERSE 6 – Meaning, I think, GOD will save many Jewish people because of Elijah’s preaching.

LEST – or so that when I come, I will not strike the earth with a curse.  I will not annhilate it or utterly destroy it.
MATTHEW 24.21-22

DANIEL 9.27  The announcement of the phoney 7 year peace treaty with Israel.

CONFIRM – GAHVAHR – strong, effective, will prevail.

COVENANT – BEHREET – An agreement, i.e., a 7 year peace treaty

WEEK – SHAHVOOAH – A week of years.  1 week = 7 years

THE OVERSPREADING OF ABOMINATIONS – idols will fill The Temple, anti-Christ will enter The Temple proclaiming he is god.  2 Thessalonians 2.3-4

HE SHALL MAKE it desolate – GOD will destroy anti-Christ, causing The Temple to be destroyed and ruined.

UNTIL THE CONSUMMATION – GOD will destroy and consume anti-Christ.
THAT DETERMINES – it is decreed, decided by Law, GOD’s Law.
POURED OUT ON THE DESOLATE – the ungodly will be destroyed and ruined – THE WORLD.

This will all happen, The Great Tribulation, because of
1.  a peace treaty with Israel
2.  The dividing of the land of Israel, and
3.  When Israel builds The Temple in Jerusalem.

NEXT – MATTHEW 24.7  Earthquakes – 300 to 700 per week and sometimes more or 15,600 to 36,400 per year of a magnitude of 1 to 7 or 8 on Richter Scale.

MATTHEW 24.14  The true Gospel of Yeshua is not being preached today.  The Gospel of Yeshua is The Good News of Messiah and then we must lead our life according to GOD’s Law of Moses.  THAT WILL BE PREACHED IN THE END DAYS, PROBABLY DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION.

DANIEL 11.45 AND DANIEL 12.1-2

ZECHARIAH 9.14-17  The LORD will be seen by all the world, and He will save His People Israel.

ZECHARIAH 14.1-9, 12  The LORD will utterly destroy those armies who seek to destroy His People Israel.

ISAIAH 24.5-6, 19-23  This is why GOD will destroy this earth and end this age as we know it.

50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 earth-size planets orbiting in universe.  GOD’S power!

EZEKIEL 36.24-28  GOD will take His Jewish People from the nations and bring them to The Millennium in Israel and save them.

MATTHEW 24.29-31  Yeshua explains His return and The Resurrection.

ISAIAH 51.11  The saved will come with everlasting joy to Israel in The Millennium.

ISAIAH 27.6  The Millennial Israel will fill the entire world with its fruit; love and obedience to The LORD their GOD, Messiah Yeshua.

AMOS 9.14-15  GOD’s People will never again experience trouble.

ROMANS 11.26-27  I believe that all people whom GOD saves will be “all Israel” in The Millennium and forever throughout eternity in Heaven.

PSALM 48.1-2  Israel in The Millennium will be magnificent and spectacularly beautiful.

CITY OF OUR GOD – Jerusalem
IN THE MOUNTAIN OF HIS HOLINESS – Where GOD our Messiah will live in His Temple
BEAUTIFUL – YAHFEH – Beautiful and bright
FOR SITUATION – Elevation and Height
MT. ZION – In Jerusalem.  A hill today, a mountain in The Millennium
THE SIDES OF THE NORTH – Perhaps where GOD The Messiah will live in His Holy Temple.
THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING – Jerusalem

ISAIAH 65.18-19  Messiah will rejoice in His People and the sound of weeping will never be heard again.

ZECHARIAH 6.12-13 Messiah will build The Millennial Temple.  We, I believe, will bu
ild it for Him.

EZEKIEL 42.16-20  The Temple will be huge.  About 1 mile square.

VERSE 20  Between the sanctuary and the profane place – that which is Holy, and that which is common – those visiting from outside Israel, perhaps are common.

ZECHARIAH 8.3-6 20-23 – Millennial Israel will be the spiritual center of the earth.

SKIRT – corner of clothing

ISAIAH 2.2-4  There will be no more wars, worldwide, but everllasting peace.

FLOW – cheerful & flow together.

JEREMIAH 3.17 – Jerusalem will be the throne of The LORD, and the nations will honor and worship The Messiah Yeshua, The GOD of Israel.

ZEPHANIAH 3.14-20  Messiah will rejoice over us with joy and singing.  The nations will honor us with praise and fame, and make us a name and a praise among all the people of the earth.

In conclusion, Messiah teaches every human being what is required of them to enter into The Kingdom of Heaven.  That is the 1,000 year Millennium in Israel, and eternity in Heaven.  The requirement?  Believe in Yeshua The Messiah, and then lead your life in obedience to GOD’s Torah, The Law of Moses.

MATTHEW 7.21-23

GENESIS 25.1-11 A LOOK BACK ON ABRAHAM’S LIFE

SHALOM:

GENESIS 25.1  KETURAH – Meaning –  Perfumed

No more is said about Keturah in The Bible except that which is restated from Genesis 25.1 in 1 Chronicles 1.32-33.  And as a point of interest, first and second Chronicles are called dehvree ha yameem in Hebrew, meaning “Affairs of the days”, which is a record of historical events from Adam, and the genealogy of Adam, a brief review of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the 12 sons of Jacob, the composition or makeup of the 12 tribes of Israel, the reigns of Saul, David and Solomon, and the kings of Israel, both of Judah and the northern kingdom of Israel; and ending with the Persian king Cyrus the Great’s announcement calling for the children of Israel to return and rebuild The Temple of GOD in Jerusalem at the conclusion of their 70 year exile in Babylon.  The time was around 538 BCE.

25.1-2  ZIMRAN – zeemrahn – musical.  His name is mentioned again only in 1 Chronicles 1.32

JOKSHAN – yahkshan – fowler – i.e. sets a trap for fowl, kills them for food.  (only in 1 Chronicles 1.32)

MEDAN – meedahn – brawling or contention (only in 1 Chronicales 1.32)

MIDIAN – meedyahn – brawling and contention

Midian was the founder of the country and people named after him, Midian and the Midianite people.

I’m  sure Moses, who was a Levite, knew the history of his Jewish people well.  Because when he fled Egypt, I believe he looked for the country of Midian knowing they were a people related to him through Abraham.  Midian, the country, was in northern Arabia, or todays northern Saudi Arabia which is east of Egypt and east of the Red Sea.

EXODUS 2.15-16, 21     JUDGES 6.1-2
The Midianites became enemies of Israel

EVIL (Judges 6.1)  rah – not pleasing (GOD), wrong, by disobeying GOD

Back to GENESIS 25.2  ISHBAK – yeeshbahk – he will leave (only in 1 Chronicles 1.32)

SHUAH – shuah – a number of Shuahs in the Bible

Here’s a bit of information.  Sarah was 127 years old when she died.  Abraham was ten years older than her.  So then, Abraham was older, much older than 137 when he had 6 more children with Keturah.

25.5-6  VERSE 5 – Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.

VERSE 6 – CONCUBINE – Webster’s – a woman in which a man cohabits without being married to him.

But in Verse 1, The Bible says Keturah was Abraham’s wife – eeshah.  Was Keturah one of Abraham’s servants as Hagar was?  I don’t know but The LORD refers to Keturah and Hagar as peelagsheem, concubines in Verse 6.

VERSE 6 – Abraham sent these sons of Keturah away from Isaac, eastward to the east country, today’s Jordan and Saudi Arabia.  And this is evidence of GOD’s grace, and wisdom, even His foreknowledge and predestination for placing Midian, Abraham’s son by Keturah in Arabia for His servant Moses.  GOD sent Midian to Arabia about 600 years BEFORE Moses arrived there.

Also, as we can see, many Arabs come from Abraham  through his children born from Keturah and Hagar.  The Jewish people come from Isaac, The Son of Promise.

Back again to GENESIS 25.5-6 Abraham sent the sons of Keturah away, I believe, because of the words GOD spoke to him in

GENESIS 21.8-12

For in Isaac shall your seed be called, meaning: the Jewish people descend from Isaac whom GOD chose; To obey Him, to know there is only one GOD, and to love The LORD with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our might, and to be His witnesses to all the world, and to be His people to bring forth His Messiah, Yeshua ha Mashiakh, for in Abraham through Yeshua shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

GENESIS 21.13  So Abraham sent Keturah’s children away, and as GOD provided for Ishmael and watched over him and his mother, He also took care of the six sons of Keturah because they were the children of Abraham.

Back to GENESIS 25.5  Abraham was wealthy.  GENESIS 13.1-2

So not only did Isaac inherit most all that Abraham owned, he also INHERITED THE COVENANT GOD made with his father Abraham. That Covenant was passed on to Isaac and not the other sons of Keturah and Hagar.

So, let’s briefly review The Covenant that many call the Abrahamic Covenant that was inherited by Isaac, then Jacob, and then the children of Israel, the Jewish people.

-GOD is GOD to Abraham, and the Jewish people, and Israel.
-GOD has given the land of Israel to the Jewish people for an everlasting possession.
-Those who bless Abraham and the Jewish people, GOD will bless.
-Those who curse Abraham and the Jewish people, GOD will curse.
-And a very important part of the Abrahamic Covenant is Messiah Yeshua.  All the families of the earth are blessed in Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  Yeshua the Messiah is the seed or descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in whom all the families of the earth are blessed.
-And Abraham kept the way of The LORD, and he commanded his children after him to obey The Voice of GOD, His Laws and His Commandments.
-And all the families of the earth are blessed in the seed of Abraham, Yeshua the Messiah, by receiving The Messiah Yeshua and keeping the Commandments and The Laws of GOD.
That in a few words is the Abrahamic Covenant.

25.7-8  Abraham died at 175

VERSE 8 He was gathered to his people.

Abraham’s people were not living in Canaan but outside that country, perhaps in Haran in today’s Iraq near the Euphrates River.  Thus being gathered to his people does not relate to burial, I believe, but to eternal life in Heaven with his family, the family of GOD.

MATTHEW 12.50

WILL – THELAYMAH – will, decree, i.e. His Law of Moses.  Decree=Law

By the way, the only way to have a relationship with Messiah is by doing the will of The Father which is in Heaven.  The will of our Father is to obey Him.  His Commandments and His Laws, the Law of Moses.

Let’s do a brief obituary on Abraham, and look back on his life.

-Abraham was the Father and founder of The Hebrew people, or if you will, the Jewish People, the children of Israel.
-Making hm the first Jewish person.
-He was the first of the Patriarchs, the founding fathers of the Jewish people.  The Patriarchs are Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who are in the genealogy of Yeshua The Messiah.  Yeshua is Jewish, yesterday, today and forever.
-Abraham was called and elected by GOD.
-GOD gave Abraham the Abrahamic Covenant to pass on to his descendants and to those non-Jewish people of faith in Yeshua who like Abraham are obedient to GOD’s Laws and Commandments.
-Abraham was born some 4,000 years ago in Ur of the Chaldees which today would be in southern Iraq.
-GOD spoke to and appeared to Abraham a number of times.  Thus Abraham spoke to and saw Yeshua Who is GOD Almighty, The GOD of Abraham.
-GOD changed his name from Abram to Abraham, meaning Father of a multitude of nations.  Judaism is one of those nations.  Nations through Ishmael and his other six sons are included.  And perhaps Christianity since Christianity comes from Judaism.
-Abraham was the first Jewish person to settle in Canaan, today’s Israel.
-Abraham and his wife Sarah are a symbol of hospitality because they entertained and served dinner to GOD, Who is Yeshua, and the 2 angels.
-Abraham was also a mighty warrior.  With his 318 servants born in his house, he went to war with some mighty armies from Babylon, Persia, Canaan and 5 kings from Sodom and Gomorrah to recover his Nephew Lot and his family who were taken captive by those armies.  And Abraham and his servants slaughtered those armies, of course with the help of The L
ORD GOD, and brought Lot and his family back home.
-Abraham was a matchmaker.  He arranged the marriage for his son Isaac to Rebekah.
-GOD is called The GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
-GOD’s everlasting Covenant with Abraham is confirmed, sealed and guaranteed by circumcision to Abraham and every Jewish male.  That is the sign of His Covenant between GOD and Abraham.
-Romans 4.11 reads that Abraham is the Father of all who believe in Yeshua that righteousness is credited to them also.  Righteousness means obeying and living by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of GOD.
-GOD called Abraham a Prophet.
-Abraham believed GOD and walked with Him, meaning he obeyed His Laws and Commandments.
-Abraham is called the friend of GOD.
-Abraham died at the age of 175.
-Chapters 12 through 25 in Genesis are devoted to Abraham and his life.  And so much more about Abraham is taught throughout The Scriptures.
-The name Abraham appears 74 times in the New Testament.  The name Moses appears 78 times.  Both being great servants of GOD and mighty examples for us as to how we should live our lives, especially if we call ourselves servants of GOD and believers in Yeshua.  Thus, Abraham was a great and mighty man of GOD.

GENESIS 25.9-10  This burial place is in Hebron.  Hebron is in Israel today in the West Bank mostly controlled by Palestinians.  Sarah, Abraham, Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob and Leah are buried there.

25.11  The well of Lahai Roi.  Lakhy roe-ee
MEANING  the well of the life of vision.

Here’s where this well got it’s name.  GENESIS 16.11-14

Before we finish this teaching on Abraham, let’s look at a few Scriptures in The New Testament that speak of him.

MATTHEW 1.1-2, 16-17  The genealogy of Yeshua.

MATTHEW 8.11-12  Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were men of strong faith and obedient to GOD.  An all-important requirement for all believers in Yeshua.  That’s why Messiah says in Matthew 7.23, “Depart from Me you workers of lawlessness.”

MATTHEW 22.32  Again, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were Godly men of faith who obeyed every word that GOD spoke.  And GOD’s Word includes His Law of Moses and His Commandments.  The living obey GOD.  He is The GOD of the living.  Those who disobey GOD are spiritually dead.  GOD is not the GOD of the dead who disobey Him.  Yeshua taught obedience to The Law of Moses.

LUKE 13.22-28  Again, Yeshua taught obedience to the Commandments and Laws of GOD; especially to believers in Messiah.  Without obedience, the narrow and strait gate to Heaven is shut.

LUKE 16.19-31  Another example by Yeshua that The Law of Moses must be obeyed to anyone who wants to enter into Heaven.

So in conclusion, Abraham is an outstanding example of what it takes to be a Servant of GOD.  We should all pattern our lives after him.  He believed GOD and obeyed His Laws and Commandments.  Today we have Messiah Yeshua, Who through Him, God has forgiven us all our sins and remembers them no more.  Now, we should be like Abraham, obey GOD, and keep His Commandments.  That is the will of our Father in Heaven.  That is the way to eternal life in The Kingdom of GOD.  Belief in Yeshua, and obedience to GOD’s Commandments and His Law of Moses.

GENESIS 24.1-12; BLESSINGS & PREDESTINATION

SHALOM:

GENESIS 24.1  “And The LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.”

Abraham was a chosen vessel of GOD.  One of the very great men in The Bible.  And Abraham did something all people are able to do, if they set their minds to doing it.  And that is he obeyed GOD.  AND THAT IS THE REASON The LORD blessed Abraham in all things.  Because Abraham obeyed GOD.  And GOD will also bless you in all things, if you obey Him.  The Bible describes the person who obeys GOD as being righteous, and of course having faith in GOD and Messiah is counted for righteousness.

GENESIS 18.19

KEEP THE WAY OF THE LORD – obey GOD

JUSTICE – TSEHDAHKAH – doing right according to The Law of Moses, which is The Word of GOD.

JUDGMENT – MEESHPAHT – making decisions according to The Law of Moses, which is The Word of GOD.

GOD explains the way of The LORD in:

GENESIS 26.4-5

PSALM 112.1-3, MATTHEW 6.33

BLESSED is the man (Psalm 112.1)  AHSHER – happiness, blessed

The generation of the upright shall be BLESSED (Psalm 112.2)
BLESSED – BEHRAKH – to be blessed greatly

(Matthew 6.33)  SEEK His righteousness – work toward knowing GOD, discover Him and learn of Him from studying The Bible.

His RIGHTEOUSNESS – DIK AH YOS OO NAY – i.e. live your life by obeying GOD, by obeying His Word, The Law of Moses and His Commandments are part of His Word.  And GOD lives His life according to His Law and Commandments, and that’s how He wants all people to live their lives, according to His Commandments and Laws, according to His Word.

LUKE 11.27-28, JAMES 1.25

(James 1.25)  PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY – The Law of Moses, freedom from the bondage of sin, freedom from death.

DOER OF THE WORK – obedience to GOD, His Word, Law and Commandments

BLESSED IN HIS DEED – POYAYSIS – for performing and doing The Law.

As Believers in Messiah, THE LORD WILL BLESS YOU in all things also, if you are like Abraham and obey The Word of GOD which includes His Law of Moses and all His Commandments.  That’s His promise to everyone, Jewish and non-Jewish people from Genesis through Revelation.  GOD will bless us in all things if we obey Him.

24.2-4 My country (verse 4) MESOPOTAMIA – much of Syria and Iraq.

This is one of the most beautiful stories in Scripture where Abraham sends his servant to his family in Mesopotamia in Syria, to find a wife for his son Isaac.

And Abraham knew that his brother Nahor and his wife Milcah had children, eight children in fact, and a granddaughter by the name of Rebekah.

GENESIS 22.20-24

<tell the story of the servant’s trip to Mesopotamia.
<-“Go to my country and my family and take a wife for my son Isaac.”

The Bible tells us in quite a number of places that all things are determined by GOD, perhaps even before the Creation when all His plans were made.  The Bible tells us that GOD directs the lives of all human beings, and all history.  How can anyone understand?  Just as GOD directed Abraham’s servant to Rebekah to become Isaac’s wife, GOD directs your life and my life also.

PROVERBS 16.9

DEVISES – KHAHSHAV – Imagines

His WAY – DEHREKH – His or her course of life, i.e., today I’ll do this, tomorrow I’ll do that, or our plans for our life.

<But The LORD directs his steps.
DIRECTS – KOON – establish, directs, orders, It is GOD Who sets us in the directions He wants us to go.  And we do what He wants us to do.

STEPS – STAHAHD -GOD guides and directs our lives, we don’t

PROVERBS 20.24 – The direction of our life is of GOD.  We think the course of our life is our choice.  It’s not.  It’s GOD’s choice for us.

PROVERBS 21.1 – TURNS – NAHTAH – directs

JEREMIAH 10.23 – GOD guildes our life all the way.  That’s why He knows the end from the beginning.

One of the reasons GOD decides everything and determines everything, and brings about the result of everything is because The Bible says, The LORD has made and done everything for Himself, and everything for His own purpose.

PROVERBS 16.4

HIMSELF – MAHAHNEH – For Himself, and for His own purpose.

PROVERBS 16.1 PREPARATIONS OF THE HEART – thoughts, ideas, plans

I guess we could say, this is absolute omnipotence, unlimited authority, power and influence.

All things are for GOD Himself and for His purpose.  Let’s look at some examples.

JOHN 15.16, JOHN 17.2, 6, MATTHEW 25.34

DEUTERONOMY 32.8-9, MARK 13.20, LUKE 10.19-20, LUKE 22.21-22, ACTS 22.11-15, ROMANS 9.9-14, ROMANS 11.1-2, EPHESIANS 1.3-5 – PREDESTINATED = determined beforehand.

ACTS 1.6-8 dates and times.  This also was determined back in eternity.

JOHN 17.23-24

But all the world is told in plain language and not in parables what GOD requires of every person for Him to bless us in all things.

ECCLESIASTES 1.1-3

VANITY – HAYVEHL – futility, like breath or air, temporary
Something fleeting, without substance, that is actions and labor that do not last, except those that include GOD and all that He is.

Here is what GOD requires of ALL MANKIND for Him to bless us in all things.  Fear GOD, and keep His Commandments, for that is required of every human being.

ECCLESIASTES 12.13, DEUTERONOMY 6.1-2, PROLONGED – AKRAKH – eternal life

In conclusion, what can we take away from this teaching?  The Bible says in Genesis 24.1, “And The LORD had blessed Abraham in all things”.  And why was Abraham blessed in all things?  Because he obeyed The Voice of GOD, His Word, which includes His Law and His Commandments.  That’s what we can take away from this teaching.  GOD will bless us in all things, if we obey Him.  And that also includes eternal life to as many as GOD has given to Yeshua.

HEAVEN AND THINGS, GENESIS 23.1-4

GENESIS 23.1-4

Shalom, this morning our teaching and message will be about Heaven, a little bit about Heaven, and other things.  And our study verses will be from Genesis 23.1-4

Read Genesis 23.1-4

Genesis 23.1  Let’s first devote some time to this very beautiful and important lady in the Bible, Sarah, Abraham’s Wife.

-She and her Husband Abraham were the first Jewish people, the Father and Mother of Judaism.
-Sarah in Hebrew means Princess.
-She was about 10 years younger than Abraham.
-And she was a very beautiful woman.
-She gave birth to Isaac at the age of 90, and because she BROKE OUT IN LAUGHTER when GOD told Abraham, your Wife will have a child at the age of 90, GOD told Abraham to call his Son’s name, Isaac, MEANING LAUGHED.
-GOD also told Abraham, Sarah would be the Mother of nations, and kings will descend from her.  The many kings include King David, and King Messiah, Yeshua ha Mashiakh.
-Sarah had Hagar and her son Ishmael sent away so that Ishmael would not share with Isaac as an heir to Abraham and the Covenants of Promise GOD made with Abraham.  Some call these Covenants The Abrahamic Covenant.  And the Covenants of Promise that would pass on to Isaac and the Jewish People are these:

-GOD would be The GOD of the Jewish People.
-GOD would be The GOD of Israel.
-GOD gave The Land of Israel to The Jewish People forever as an everlasting possession.-
-Those who bless Abraham and the Jewish People are blessed.
-Those who curse Abrahan and the Jewish People are cursed.
-In Abraham, all the families of the earth are blessed through the Jewish Messiah Yeshua,    Matthew 1.1.
And these Covenants GOD established with Abraham and The Jewish People are throughout their generations for an everlasting Covenant.
-And GOD made provisions for non-Jewish people to equally and fully share in these Covenants with the Jewish People.  And Paul teaches HOW in Galatians 3.7.  He wrote, “non-Jewish people of faith are the Children of Abraham”.  Faith is defined as having faith in GOD and Messiah and living your lives according to GOD’s Commandments and His Law of Moses, the same Commandments and Laws He gave to His People Israel for all people to obey.  Thus everybody has the opportunity to share in those great Covenants of Promise.
-Back to Sarah:
-Sarah is the only woman in The Bible whose age at death is recorded.  She was 127 years old when she died.
-Sarah is named in Isaiah 51.2 as the one who gave birth to the Nation of Israel.
-Peter writes of Sarah in 1 Peter 3.5-6 as a wife who was holy, who trusted in The LORD GOD and treated her Husband Abraham with respect.
-And Hebrews 11.11 speaks of Sarah having great faith in The LORD GOD.
Thus Sarah was a very impressive lady, and also a good example for all of us.

GENESIS 23.2  Hebron is in the hill country of Judah.  That location today is in the West Bank, 20 miles south, southwest of Jerusalem and controlled by the Palestinian Arabs.
-Sarah, Abraham, Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob and Leah are all buried in Hebron.
-Hebron is also the city where David was anointed King of Judah, and seven and a half years later, he was anointed King of Israel

2 SAMUEL 2.1-4, 2 SAMUEL 5.1-5

Hebron was taken by the children of Israel when in the Exodus from Egypt, Joshua brought them into Canaan some 3,500 years ago after GOD gave him the leadership of Israel when Moses died.

JOSHUA 10.36-37

Let’s look at a brief account of GOD’s words to Joshua and His instructions for the conquest of the entire land of Canaan which of course includes Hebron.

JOSHUA 1.1-9

GENESIS 23.3-4  Abraham and Sarah lived in the land of Canaan some 4,000 years ago, which is Israel today.
And Abraham said, “I am a stranger and sojourner with you”.  Yet, GOD gave all the land of Canaan to Abraham and his descendants after him, the Jewish People, for an everlasting possession.
So why did Abraham say he was a stranger and a sojourner in the land GOD gave to him, forever?

GENESIS 17.8

STRANGER – GAYR – A temporary resident or guest.

SOJOURNER – TOESHAV – has a number of meanings.  1)  Not a native citizen, i.e., not born in Canaan.  Actually, Abraham was born in Ur of the Chaldees in today’s Iraq down near the Persian Gulf near the city of Basra.  Also, Strong’s Concordance says sojourner could mean a temporary inmate (?)  Webster’s describes inmate also as any group living as a tenant, which describes Abraham.  Also, sojourner could mean a foreigner or stranger.

I believe what Abraham meant when he said he was a stranger and sojourner with them is this.  He meant that HE WAS NOT a permanent resident of this earth, because, in fact, his permanent and eternal Home and his citizenship is Heaven.

Jacob also knew that this earth was not his permanent home.  Heaven is.

GENESIS 47.8-9

PILGRIMAGE – MAHGOOR – a temporary dwelling place.

Our temporary dwelling place is earth.  Heaven is our permanent dwelling place.

GOD says, we are strangers and sojourners WITH HIM.

LEVITICUS 25.23

THE LAND – the land of Israel.

SOLD – MAHKHAR – don’t sell it, don’t give it up, don’t trade it, i.e. keep the Land forever.

FOREVER – TEHMEETOOT – Don’t sell it for any price or anything; not then, not today, not ever.

GOD said, we are strangers and sojourners WITH HIM, because we will be permanent residents in Heaven with Him.

I know you all know what the word “with” means, as in WITH ME or WITH GOD.  But here’s the definition of WITH in Hebrew.

WITH – EEM; with Me, i.e. with GOD
EEMAHDEE=equally with (GOD)

It’s hard to imagine, but EEMAHDEE means we inherit everything in Heaven that belongs to GOD.  And everything in Heaven belongs to GOD.  And Paul teaches that –

ROMANS 8.16-17, 6-7

HEIRS – KLAYRONOMOS – one who inherits, an heir, implying an owner or joint-owner with Messiah of all that belongs to GOD

So, I maintain that Abraham was saying, “I’m a short-timer here on earth because my permanent Home is Heaven.”  And that applies to all of us who believe in Yeshua and walk in the ways of GOD as Abraham did.

GENESIS 26.4-5, MATTHEW 13.40-43

MATTHEW 13.41  out of HIS KINGDOM – the world

OFFEND – SKANDALON – sin, breaking The Law of Moses – 1 JOHN 3.4

INIQUITY – ANOMIA – UNLAWFUL, LAWLESS – break The Law of Moses, living a life in disobedience to GOD’s Law of Moses, unrighteous.

Verse 43  RIGHTEOUS – law-abiding, living our lives as GOD commands us by obeying His Laws and Commandments.

KINGDOM OF THEIR FATHER – Heaven

The meaning of this parable of the tares is very important to know and understand.  Only the righteous, those who obey GOD, His Laws and Commandments here on earth will inherit The Kingdom of Heaven.  It is fundamentally GOD’s teaching throughout The Bible.  The enemy are the ones who teach us we do not have to obey The Law of Moses.  The Law of Moses is for everybody.

Let’s look at HEBREWS 11.8-16

What’s being said here?  They were all looking forward to going to Heaven.

Let’s look at PHILIPPIANS 3.20-21

CONVERSATION – POLIT YOO MAH – citizenship.

SAVIOUR – GOD, Who is Yeshua

So, if we are citizens of Heaven, we should lead our lives as citizens of Heaven.

CITIZENSHIP means, a citizen with rights and privileges of a country, or in this case, Heaven; with duties and obligations.  That is to obey The Laws of Heaven, meaning to obey
The Laws of GOD.  The Laws of GOD in Heaven are the same Laws of GOD on earth.

DEUTERONOMY 32.1-4

you HEAVENS – the angels
HEAR – SHMAH – to hear, pay attention, and obey
EARTH – us

So, we’ve heard GOD.  We obey Him and His doctrine, His Laws and Commandments.  We know His Work is perfect.  All His ways are judgment according to His Law of Moses.  He is a GOD of Truth, without sin, and we know He is just and right.  We’re obeying GOD, and we know, our permanent home is not here, but in Heaven.

JOHN 14.1-3  GOD has prepared mansions for us in Heaven.

HEBREWS 12.22-23

GENERAL ASSEMBLY – A gathering for worship.

CHURCH – EKKLAYSEEAH – A callling out (from sin, from disobeying GOD and His Law of Moses and His Commandments)

THE FIRST BORN – no other than Yeshua (Colossians 1.15, 18; Romans 8.29)

JUST men – DIKAHYOS – INNOCENT = Law-abiding
HOLY = Law-abiding, RIGHTEOUS = Law-abiding

made PERFECT – because of belief in Messiah and obedience to GOD and His Law.

And the best picture of Heaven, our permanent Home, is found in REVELATION 21.1-27

VERSE 8 – FEARFUL = faithless

UNBELIEVING is explained in 2 KINGS 17.13-15

So, in conclusion, every Sunday the Preacher says, “believe in Jesus Christ and your sins will be forgiven and you will have everlasting life”.  However, The Bible says, “Believe in Jesus Chrust, Yeshua The Messiah, and your sins will be forgiven, and then start to lead a righteous life by obeying GOD and His Commandments, His Law of Moses and His Statutes, and then you will enter The Kingdom of Heaven and have everlasting life.”

And as Yeshua says often, “who has ears to hear, let him hear”.

ZECHARIAH 14.1-9, 12  The LORD will utterly destroy those armies who seek to destroy His People Israel.

50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 earth-size planets orbiting in universe.  GOD’S power!

We, I believe, will build it for Him.
