Shalom. Our teaching this morning will complete our studies in The Book of Genesis in which The LORD GOD Himself gives us the account of His Creation of Heaven and earth and all that is in them. And also The Book of Genesis explains GOD’s Creation of the Jewish people, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob being the founding fathers. And GOD also describes in Genesis the creation of the nation of Israel as He promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to make of them a great nation. And of course so much more is taught in Genesis.
First let’s read Genesis 50.1-9 starting with Verse 33 of the previous Chapter 49.
READ GENESIS 49.33; 50.1-9
GENESIS 49.33 As a quick review of this verse, Jacob died at the age of 147, and The Bible says, “he was gathered to his people”. That is, Jacob died and his body was buried, but as Yeshua teaches in His story of the rich man and the beggar in LUKE 16.22, the beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. Abraham is in Heaven since GOD is The GOD of the living and not the dead as Yeshua said in MATTHEW 22.32. The living like Abraham and Jacob who have died are in Heaven very much alive in the likeness of GOD having the same form and appearance and beauty as GOD Almighty, Yeshua Ha Mashiakh. (Psalm 17.15, 1 John 3.2).
The dead, like the rich man in Yeshua’s story are in hell.
Thus when Jacob died, he was also carried by the angels into Heaven and was gathered to his people who are also in Heaven. His 2 wives Leah and Rachel, and perhaps his 2 maidservants, his father and mother Isaac and Rebekah, his grandfather and grandmother Abraham and Sarah and others of his people whom GOD has brought to Heaven. Thus Jacob was gathered to his people in Heaven. Likewise, all who are GOD’s people, Jewish and non-Jewish, those who love GOD and are the called as Paul writes in Romans 8.28 will also at death be carried into Heaven by the angels and gathered to their people, those who are in Heaven.
There is a highway to Heaven and The Way is explained in The Bible. ROMANS 10.9, ROMANS 3.31, ROMANS 2.13
That is GOD’s formula to enter eternal life in Heaven. It may not be mans’ teaching but GOD’s teaching is The Truth.
BACK TO
GENESIS 50.1-2 My understanding of embalming is that the blood is drained from the body and discarded. And to preserve the dead body, the blood is replaced with chemicals, drugs and balsams. Balsam is any of the fragrant substances that ooze out from certain trees.
Jewish law disapproves of embalming unless extenuating circumstances exist whatever those extenuating circumstances may be. Embalming sometimes involves mutilation of the body, an act of irreverance to GOD. The embalming of Jacob was an Egyptian custom and not an accepted practice of Jewish people.
Judaism also forbids cremation because The Bible says the body must return to the earth, GENESIS 3.19. And cremation is considered an unnaturally speedy way of disposing of the body of a person who was once a beloved member of a family.
BACK TO
GENESIS 50.3-5 VERSE 3 The embalming period was 40 days.
VERSE 5 Let me go up to Canaan or today Israel. No matter where a person is coming from or going to Israel, we GO UP to Israel, or we GO UP to Jerusalem. ISAIAH 2.2-3.
EZEKIEL 38.1-3, 10-11, 16 This Chapter is about the armageddon. Gog is perhaps the future leader of Magog and his land Russia. And the northern countries which have long been persecutors of the Jews. EZEKIEL 39.1-2, MATTHEW 20.17-19, LUKE 10.30-31
When Jewish people or anyone come to live in Israel and become citizens, we do not immigrate but make aliyah, meaning we go up. No matter where they may live, even at the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, we make aliyah, we go up.
I have read that the term “going up to Jerusalem or going up to Israel” is used because of the geographical elevation of the land of Israel relative to low-lying Egypt. However my thoughts of going up to Jerusalem are because the land of Israel belongs to The LORD GOD of Isarel and because of Jerusalem and Israel’s brilliant future at Messiah’s return during the 1,000 year millennium. Jerusalem will be the capital of all the earth, and Jerusalem will be GOD’s holy mountain where The King will reign, Yeshua The Messiah, GOD Almighty.
LEVITICUS 25.23 SOLD – MAHKHAR – don’t merchandise the land, don’t sell it for any purpose, do not surrender any part of the land, don’t give it away or abandon it. The land of Israel belongs to GOD and the Jewish people are strangers and sojourners with Him.
STRANGERS – guests of GOD.
SOJOURNERS – temporary residents with GOD.
We will worship The LORD in Jerusalem. ISAIAH 27.13
Jerusalem is GOD’s holy mountain. ISAIAH 66.20
Jerusalem will be the throne of The LORD GOD. JEREMIAH 3.17
We will pray before The LORD in Jerusalem. ZECHARIAH 8.22
We will keep the Feasts of The LORD in Jerusalem. ZECHARIAH 14.16-17
Jerusalem is The City of The Great King, Yeshua. MATTHEW 5.34-35
Jerusalem and Israel, unbeknown to many people, is very special. Therefore we go up.

VERSE 10 The threshing floor of Atad was an open area.

GENESIS 50.11 ABEL-MIZRAIM – AHVAYLE MEETSRAHEEM “A meadow in Egypt”

VERSE 19 in the place of GOD? Am I a substitute for GOD? Am I in His place?
VERSE 20 GOD meant it for good. Joseph meant that GOD would have him forgive his brothers, and he did forgive them.
Forgiveness is a very important teaching of GOD and He spells it out in The Bible.
LEVITICUS 19.17-18
VERSE 17 You shall not hate your brother or any person in your heart. Inform the one who has wronged you so not to bring upon yourself any sin because of bottled up hatred and unforgiveness.
VERSE 18 Do not take any revenge against the person or be angry with that person, but rather you shall love your neighbor as yourself. That is, you shall love your neighbor as yourself, and you should love yourself. I am The LORD Who is commanding you. In other words, forgive the person in your heart. That is GOD’s command to you and me and everyone.
And it will result in good health for your body, because you obeyed GOD.
PROVERBS 3.6-8
VERSE 6 Do what is right according to His Law and Will, and GOD will guide your life for your good.
VERSE 7 Don’t go against GOD’s Words and Laws, but rather obey Him. Fear The LORD. That is revere Him, be frightened of Him, then you will have no problem obeying Him and forgiving others.
EVIL – RAH – bad, displeasing GOD, naughty, i.e., disobedient to GOD and wrong. Depart from it.
VERSE 8 By so doing, obeying GOD, forgiving others, GOD will give you good health.
Here are some select verses on forgiveness.

GENESIS 50.22-26 GOD keeps every promise, every one.
VERSE 25 GOD will surely visit you.
VISIT – PAHKAHD – remember you and deliver you.
EXODUS 3.7-8, EXODUS 13.19, JOSHUA 24.32
Shechem is in the Palestinian occupied West Bank in Israel about a mile or 2 east of Nabulus.
Shechem is the very city where Joseph’s brothers tossed him into a ditch that started his historic journey into Egypt, though it was an unpleasant journey. But GOD had promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to make of them a great nation. And GOD made Israel a great nation in Egypt during 400 years of slavery. And Israel is a great nation today and has been a great nation for thousands of years.
GOD keeps His promises, the promise He kept when He promised Abraham 4,000 years ago to make of him a great Jewish nation forever.
GENESIS 12.1-2, GENESIS 13.14-17, GENESIS 15.5-7, GENESIS 18.16-18
GENESIS 22.15-18 VERSE 17 During the 1,000 year Millennium, Jewish and non-Jewish Believers in Yeshua who served GOD as Abraham did, fearing GOD and keeping His Commandments which The Bible says is the whole duty of mankind (Ecclesiastes 12.13), will rule with governmental powers in those cities and countries that were enemies to the Jewish people and had hatred toward Israel.
GENESIS 26.1-5, GENESIS 46.1-3, JOSHUA 1.1-9
But yet GOD exiled the Jewish people out of their land by the Babylonians in 586 B.C.E./B.C. and the Assyrians in 722 B.C.E./B.C. because the children of Israel sinned against The LORD their GOD. They walked in the statues of the heathen and did those things that were not right against The LORD their GOD. They set up images and groves in every high hill and under every green tree. They burned incense in all the high places as did the heathen, doing wicked things that provoked The LORD to anger. Yet The LORD testified against Israel and against Judah by all His prophets saying turn from your evil ways and keep My Commandments and Statutes according to all The Law which I commanded your fathers and which I sent to them My servants the prophets. But they would not hear but hardened their necks THAT THEY DID NOT BELIEVE IN THE LORD THEIR GOD. And they rejected His Statutes and went after the heathen that were round about them concerning whom The LORD had commanded them that they should not do like them. And they left all the Commandments of The LORD their GOD and made molten images, even 2 calves and worshipped the host of heaven and served baal. And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through fire, and used divination and enchantments and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of The LORD to provoke Him to anger, until The LORD removed Israel out of His sight as He had said by all His servants the prophets. So was Israel and Judah carried away out of their own land by the Assyrians and Babylonian armies because of their sins against The LORD their GOD.
And again in 70 C.E./A.D., GOD sent the Roman armies into the land of Israel, and after 4 years of great battle, the Romans conquered Jerusalem killing some 1 million Jewish people, and again GOD sent His people into exile throughout the 4 corners of the earth for almost 2,000 years, again because of their sins against The LORD their GOD. But again The LORD their GOD gathered His people back to the land of Israel after the Holocaust that killed 6 million Jews and after World War 2 in 1948.
Today, 50% of all the world’s Jewish people live in Israel. And in the future at the return of their GOD and Messiah, Yeshua Ha Mashiakh, in the 1,000 year Millennium, the beauty of GOD’s great nation Israel will blossom in the Kingdom of their GOD where The KING OF KINGS, Messiah Yeshua will reign and all His people will reign with Him, and that is also a promise of GOD.
ISAIAH 62.1-5, 10-12
I say this to you. To know Messiah and His shed blood that forgives our sins and saves us. And to know that we are to fear GOD and keep His Commandments. I say this. GOD has given you and me a very special gift, unique and precious and eternal.
Shalom, Ira Weinstein

TO LIVE IS MESSIAH, AND TO DIE IS GAIN. GENESIS 49.33
Shalom. Our study this morning is from Genesis 49.33.
Read Genesis 49.33
Paul writes in Philippians 1.21, “For to me to live is Messiah, and to die is gain”. Perhaps we can learn more of what he means from this study where he says, to die is gain.
I think Paul’s thoughts “to live is Messiah”, is finding the true meaning of life, loving GOD and Messiah and serving Him. To paraphrase the words Abigail said of David in 1 Samuel 25.29, and her words also apply to us. “Our soul is bound up in the bundle of life in the care of The LORD our GOD”. Thus, there is no greater life than to live in Messiah, but to die, Paul writes, is gain. Perhaps this study will explain why to die is gain for the Children of God.
GENESIS 49.33 Jacob died at the age of 147. GENESIS 47.28
Jacob was 130 years old when The LORD GOD caused him and his family of 66 people, the whole house of Israel at the time, to move from Canaan, today’s Israel, to Egypt where GOD would make of Jacob a great nation. That is, GOD made Israel a great nation over the 430 years Israel was in Egypt before GOD brought them out to the Promised Land, The Land of Israel by the leadership of Moses.
GENESIS 46.1-4
Case in point here? Age means nothing to GOD. He can and will use us for His purpose whether we are young or old. Jacob was 130 years old when GOD led Jacob and his family out of Canaan to Egypt. Moses was 80 when GOD called him to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt to The Land He promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The Land of Israel. David was a young man when GOD called him. Samuel and Jeremiah were boys when The LORD GOD called them. And Abraham was 75 when The LORD called him to be the Father of Judaism. Thus as children of GOD, we should always be ready.
BACK TO
GENESIS 49.33 GATHERED – AHSAHF- gathered, gather together, or TAKEN AWAY TO HIS PEOPLE.
I believe where The LORD said, Jacob died and was gathered to his people, GOD means, Jacob died on earth and was reunited with his father Isaac and his mother Rebekah and his grandfather Abraham and his grandmother Sarah, and his wifes Leah and Rachel, and others of his people IN HEAVEN. And since GOD is The GOD of the living and not the dead (MATTHEW 22.32), Jacob must be living with GOD in Heaven.
Let’s revisit the story Yeshua told of the beggar and the rich man to validate this truth of Jacob being gathered to his people in Heaven, because in the story, and why would Yeshua tell us this story, the beggar died and immediately went to Heaven to the side of Abraham who himself is in Heaven. The rich man died and went to hell.
LUKE 16.22-23
Since we’re reading these words, let’s finish Messiah’s story, because here is the reason we preach obedience to The Law and the Prophets.
LUKE 22.31.
In Heaven, Jacob has a Heavenly body as all GOD’s special children have and will have a Heavenly body, the same Heavenly body Yeshua has. And Yeshua is GOD, Elohim. PHILIPPIANS 3.20-21
(Philippians 3.20) CONVERSATION – citizenship, a citizen of Heaven
SAVIOUR – MOSHEEAH, or in Greek – SOTARE – meaning GOD Who is Messiah saves and defends us, delivers and rescues us, brings us Salvation and victory.
VERSE 21 VILE BODY – a body of low estate as compared to a heavenly body.
FASHIONED – similar
SUBDUE – to bring into subjection, that is everything and everyone is in subjection to GOD, even changing our earthly bodies to a magnificent Heavenly body like His. ROMANS 8.17-18
VERSE 17 GLORIFIED – exalted and glorious and honored
Ishmael died, and he also was gathered to his people. Wherever his people are, hopefully in Heaven. GENESIS 25.27
The Bible, which is The Word of GOD, teaches that the spirit which is our life, never dies.
ISAIAH 66.24, READ VERSES 15-24 This is end times teaching.
VERSE 17 – SANCTIFY THEMSELVES – they say they are holy.
VERSE 24 – TRANSGRESSED against Me – PAH SHAH
To break away from just authority and rebel against GOD.
THE WORM SHALL NOT DIE – I believe what is being said here is that the spirit and soul, or the life never dies. And the fire of hell is never quenched or put out. This is why we preach so often, obedience to GOD’s Law and Commandments. DEUTERONOMY 30.8-10
For the righteous, those who believe in Yeshua and are saved by His shed blood, and lead a GODly and righteous life, will spend eternity in Heaven with Messiah forever.
PSALM 17.15, PSALM 71.20-21
GOD also uses the term in The Bible, “He slept with his fathers”. What does that mean?
Speaking of Moses DEUTERONOMY 31.16
and David. 1 KINGS 11.21; Hadad was an Edomite from Esau, VERSE 14.
Manasseh was an evil King in Jerusalem. 2 CHRONICLES 33.1-2, 20
So what does it mean that someone slept or sleeps with his father? First, let’s define the meaning of two words in this Scripture. The word “with” comes from the Hebrew word EEM also meaning “like” as in, you shall sleep “like” your fathers. The word “fathers” comes from the Hebrew word AHVOTE also meaning ancestors. Thus The LORD said to Moses in Deuteronomy 31.16, “Behold, you shall sleep “like” your fathers or ancestors”.
Therefore at death, whether buried in the ground or by cremation, or wherever the body may be, the body sleeps. And like sleep, GOD will cause the body to awake and live at Messiah’s future return at the end of days. This is the Resurrection. It is not soul sleep. JOHN 5.28-29.
And those who are alive at Messiah’s return will also be raised and changed to the same spiritual body as the resurrected to meet The LORD in the air. And together with the resurrected, GOD will bring us to The Land of Israel where the 1,000 year Millennial Kingdom will start.
1 CORINTHIANS 15.42-44
(1 CORINTHIANS 15.43) RAISED IN GLORY – honor, praise, dignity and magnificence
SOWN IN WEAKNESS – frail and sick
RAISED IN POWER – Greek DOONAMIS – raised a miraculous, powerful, mighty and wonderful body.
(1 Corinthians 15.44) SOWN A NATURAL BODY – a physical body on earth.
RAISED A SPIRITUAL BODY – a supernatural body, similar to GOD
ZEPHANIAH 3.17, ZECHARIAH 2.10-11, ISAIAH 35.10
The Bible explains what happens after the 1,000 year Millennium to those whom Messiah says have done good to the Resurrecti
on of Life, and to those who have done evil to the resurrection of damnation or judgment. REVELATION 20.6-15
VERSES 14-15 – those are the ones who did evil and are of the resurrection of damnation and judgment.
How do we remain written in The Book of Life? EXODUS 32.33
Forgiveness of sins comes from The New Covenant, or The New Testament Who is Yeshua The Messiah, by His shed blood for the atonement or forgiveness of our sins.
And then GOD requires us to walk with Him and obey Him. Living by every Word that proceeds out of His Mouth. His instructions, His teachings, His Laws and His Commandments. And GOD will keep you in His Book, The Lamb’s Book of Life to live and spend eternity with Him in Heaven in His likeness. That is the substance of Paul’s words, “For to me to live is Messiah, and to die is gain”.
Let’s see what happens after the 1,000 year Millennium and after the Great White Throne Judgement to those whom Messiah says have done good to The Resurrection of Life.
REVELATION 21.1-27 AND REVELATION 22.1-5
So yes, to live is Messiah. To live in Messiah is the absolute meaning of life. Loving GOD and Messiah Yeshua, and serving Him. Bundled up with GOD Who cares for us, living by every Word He speaks. There is no greater life. There is no greater future.
And to die is gain. That gain is GOD and Messiah Yeshua. That gain is eternal life in Heaven in His Likeness with songs and everlasting joy and gladness. And sorrow and sighing will flee away where GOD Himself, Yeshua Ha Mashiakh will dwell in the midst of us. He will rejoice over us with joy, and He will rest in His love, and He will joy over us with singing. And we will be His People, and GOD Himself will be with us, and be our GOD.
Shalom, Ira Weinstein
A STUDY ON THE RESURRECTION. MATTHEW 22.23-33
Shalom. This morning we will do a study on The Resurrection which is a magnificent study. So with that said, let’s read the verses we used a couple of weeks ago, Matthew 22.23-33 to open our study.
READ MATTHEW 22.23-33.
RESURRECTION – An-as-tas-is means raised to life again, the act of raising from the dead.
Let’s start with what happens to those who die or have died in the Tnakh, The Old Testament such as people like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and non-Jewish people like them who believed in The LORD GOD, and obeyed His commandments, His laws, and His statutes (Genesis 15.6 and Genesis 26.5).
And also the many millions of Jewish people GOD has saved and will save from the days of Abraham to the return of The LORD as GOD promises in the Law and the Prophets. GOD will open their graves and cause them to come out of their graves, and He will put His Spirit in them and they will live, and GOD will bring them into The Land of Israel at the start of the 1,000 year Millennium, (Ezekiel 37).
And likewise He will do the same to many millions of Gentiles who blessed the Jewish people as GOD promised in the Law in Genesis 12.3 and Yeshua promises in Matthew 25. GOD also will open their graves and raise them up from their graves, and He will put His Spirit in them and they will come to life, and He will place them also in The Land of Israel at Messiah’s return to start the 1,000 year Millennial Kingdom in Israel.
However, what happens to these people when they die? And of course The New Testament Saints, The Holy Ones who believe in Messiah Yeshua, and like Abraham have obeyed GOD, His commandments, His laws and His statutes. What happens to them, to us when we die? Because Yeshua says, “They shall never die”.
Then there is The Resurrection, those who have died and sleep, and awake at The Ressurrection AT MESSIAH’S RETURN, and come out of the graves and are changed. What happens to them? What happens to us? Where do we go? What bodily change will take place at The Resurrection?
So the question is this for all the memebers of the family of GOD. What happens to us when we die if we die before Messiah returns? And later, what happens to us at The Ressurrection when Yeshua returns?
Let’s answer the first question. What happens at death to those of us Who Are Members Of GOD’s Family, those in Tnakh and in Old Testament times, and those in New Testament times, Jewish and non-Jewish people who have died or will die before Messiah’s return? It is important to note that Messiah says, “We will never die”. JOHN 8.51, JOHN 11.25-26.
Keep in mind that Yeshua is GOD. He came to this earth as a man, but He is also GOD, Elohim, The One GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The Creator of Heaven and earth. (Isaiah 9.5(6)), John 12.45, John 14.9, Titus 2.13, etc.)
I’ll make things a little complicated at this point. Yeshua says, and He is The Word of GOD because He is GOD, that we will never die. Yet He said in Matthew 22.31-32, “But as touching THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD”, or concerning THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD, “GOD is The GOD of the living”. Yet The Members Of GOD’s Family Never Die. But there is also a resurrection of the dead, who in fact are the living, or should I say, many of them are the living. Complicated? Yes, it is, but I think once we understand, it becomes understandable, even clear.
MATTHEW 22.31-32
Yeshua says we will never die. This is what happens according to Scripture. Yes, of course, here on earth we die, but Yeshua said in John 11.25-26, though we were dead, yet shall you live. “Whosoever lives and believes on Me shall never die.” So since we never die, we go immediately to Heaven to be with GOD. Not our body, but our spirit and soul, our living being and our personality go to GOD in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we go to Heaven to be with The LORD our GOD, Yeshua The Messiah. Messiah explains this in His story about a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and spent his days in magnificent luxury, and a certain beggar named Lazarus. Let’s see what happens.
LUKE 16.22-23
The beggar died and, or at the same time, that is the definition of the word and, was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom or to Abraham’s side. Abraham is in Heaven. This is not The Resurrection.
VERSES 22-23 – The rich man also died, and, or at the same time, was buried, and, or at the same time in hell he lifted up his eyes being in torment, etc.
Thus all the members of GOD’s family upon death are carried by the angels of GOD into Heaven. And there we will have the same Heavenly body and likeness as GOD because we are made in His image, in His likeness, Genesis 1.26. But we retain or we keep our soul and spirit. And GOD will clothe us with a Heavenly body like His. 1 CORINTHIANS 15.49-50 Image is likeness, And 1 JOHN 3.2. Yes, there are many, many people in Heaven today, all having the Heavenly bodies and likeness of The LORD GOD Almighty, beautiful and powerful, but having kept their souls and spirits. People such as Enoch and Elijah. People who also walked with GOD as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Moses, David and the Prophets, the Apostles, the Saints of Messiah and so many more. The millions of Jewish people GOD saved as He promised in the Prophets and Law, and the millions of Gentile people GOD has saved who blessed Jewish people as GOD promised in the Law and fulfilled in the words of Yeshua in Matthew 25. They are in Heaven today. Their bodies and likeness, magnificent and beautiful like GOD Almighty, living in Paradise.
REVELATION 5.11-14, REVELATION 7.9-17, REVELATION 11.15-19
(REVELATION 11.18) GOD’s reward I believe is eternal life in Heaven which He gives to His servants the Prophets and His Saints. A Saint or Holy One can be classified as Jewish according to Daniel 7.21-22. And a Saint can be classified as One in Messiah and all whom GOD saves. And GOD gives His reward to them that fear His Name, small and great and prove it by obeying His Commandments and Laws. That is why we teach so often obedience to GOD. Deuteronomy 28.58.
Moses and Elijah are alive with GOD today in Heaven. In the days of Yeshua they appeared with Him at His Transfiguration.
MARK 9.2-5
Yeshua, rather than going immediately to Heaven after His death, went and preached to the human spirits in hell, who are and were alive.
1 PETER 3.18-19
I think this gives us an understanding about what happens to us when we die on earth. We die in the flesh, that is our body dies, not our spirit and soul. But quickened or made alive by The Spirit, that is by GOD. Yeshua went immediately to preach to the prisoners
in hell before He was resurrected on the 3rd day. We go immediately to Heaven and receive a Heavenly body, but we retain our spirit and soul.
Let’s look at VERSE 20 IN 1 PETER 3.
WHICH SOMETIME – POT-EH – In time past, they were disobedient to GOD. Again, that’s why we preach obedience to GOD and His Law. Messiah NEVER destroyed the Law. That’s incorrect to think He did.
Thus when we the family of GOD die on earth, we never die, but continue to live and go immediately to Heaven. The body dies but our spirit and soul do not die. GOD gives us a new body like His, a Heavenly body that does not have flesh and blood, that is magnificent, powerful, beautiful and glorious.
Also as Yeshua said, “As touching the Resurrection of the dead, GOD is The GOD of the living”. When He speaks of the resurrection of the dead in this passage, He is speaking about the living, you and me. And listen, this resurrection will take place in the future at Messiah’s return.
Let’s look at DANIEL 12.1-2
VERSE 1 To be written in GOD’s Book of Life, our sins must be forgiven. That comes from faith in Yeshua. See Exodus 32.32-33.
VERSE 2 SLEEP – YAH SHAYNE – means sleep
AWAKE – KOOTS – to awake and arise abruptly and suddenly
Death is sleeping, and many of the dead will awake at The Resurrection with a different body. Some to everlasting life. And some to shame and everlasting contempt, perhaps at the judgment. The old body is dead and gone, for both.
Sleep is also another word for physical death, meaning that death is like sleep. It is not a permanent condition. The dead will awake at The Resurrection, at Messiah’s Return, Daniel 12.2 reads, “Some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt”. And death does not destroy the identity, that is our individuality, our personality, our self when he or she awakes at The Resurrection and is changed. Like Yeshua, our body will be changed as His Body changed when He was resurrected, but He was the same Yeshua. We will be the same us, but with a resurrected body in the likeness of Yeshua when He was resurrected before He ascended into Heaven.
MARK 16.9-12, LUKE 24.13-53
(Mark 16.12) ANOTHER – HET-ER-OS – different
FORM – MOR-FAY – nature
That is, Messiah’s resurrected body became a different composition. So will ours.
(Luke 24.31) VANISHED – He became invisible
ZECHARIAH 12.10 They will look upon Yeshua, knowing Who He is, their Messiah and GOD, The One Whom we pierced.
So, at The Ressurection in the future, when Messiah returns, our bodies will again change from a Heavenly body, to a resurrected body. GOD will supernaturally reunite our spirit and soul with our new and perfect resurrected body. And we will come out of the graves and be taken up to meet Yeshua in the air, and with Messiah, we will begin The Millennial Kingdom in Israel, where He will be King over all the earth. And of course those who are alive at His Return will also be taken up to meet the Lord in the air with new Spiritual bodies like those resurrected and with Messiah and all the Family Of God, will begin the Millennial era in Israel/
EZEKIEL 37.1-14, 1 CORINTHIANS 15.42-44, 49-56
1 THESSALONIANS 4.13-18 and after the 1,000 years, REVELATION 21.1-7
Let’s close on this verse in Psalm 116, verse 15
PSALM 116.15
The reason our death is so precious to The LORD our GOD, I think, is because we will spend eternity alive with Him, and like Him, glorious and beautiful and powerful forever and ever. And we will see Him Face to face, in Heaven and The Millennial Kingdom and the new earth in Heaven, The Holy City New Jerusalem. He is our GOD, and we are His people. That is how much GOD loves you.
