EXODUS 16.27-36
Shalom. Our teaching this morning will be about The Sabbath, and how to overcome complaining. Our Scripture reading will be from Exodus 16.27-36.
READ EXODUS 16.27-36
EXODUS 16.27-30 VERSE 27 The seventh day is Saturday, The Sabbath.
VERSE 29 The sixth day is Friday.
The seventh day of the week is Saturday, The Sabbath of The LORD. The LORD GOD had miraculously created and provided quails and manna for the children of Israel every day except on Saturday, The Sabbath for 40 years until they came into the land of Canaan. But on Fridays, the sixth day of the week, GOD provided a double portion of quails and manna for both the Friday and Saturday Sabbath meals for some three million people. Thus when the Saturday Sabbath arrived, The LORD provided no food because not only is Saturday a Sabbath for the people, but Saturday is also a Sabbath for The LORD GOD. GOD also rests on the Saturday Sabbath from all His work. So when people went out into the field on The Sabbath, that is on Saturday looking for quails and manna, they found nothing.
The Sabbath is from Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown. And GOD commanded it a day of rest for all mankind, and also for Himself. GOD lives and does according to His own Laws and Commandments. GOD established The Sabbath on the seventh day after His work of creation was completed in six days. GOD created the heavens and the earth in six days, and rested on the seventh day. And He declared the seventh day Sabbath on Saturday a day of rest for Himself and for all mankind. Not only for the Jewish people, but for everyone.
GENESIS 2.1-3
GOD created the Jewish people from Abraham and Sarah some 2,000 years after The Creation. Genesis 12.
LEVITICUS 23.1-3 The Sabbath on the seventh day Saturday is a Feast of GOD for all mankind. The Saturday Sabbath is an appointed time of GOD for all peoples to come together and hold a Service dedicated to The LORD and cease from work. Do you think in the Millennium and in Heaven, The Sabbath will be on Sunday or any other day besides Saturday? Never! The weekly Sabbath will always be on Saturday.
Sabbath, or Shabbat in Hebrew means rest, and to keep as a day of rest, and to cease from work. Thus The LORD commanded the children of Israel not to cook on The Sabbath, not to do any work of any kind, and not to gather anything on The Sabbath. Because it was a Holy day unto The LORD. But some people refused to obey GOD and His Commandments. And The LORD said to Moses, how long will the people refuse to keep My Commandments and My Laws? Verse 28.
Well quite frankly, most people outside Judaism refuse to obey GOD’s Commandments and Laws. Why? Because they are taught by Bible teachers and Bible preachers NOT to obey GOD’s Commandments and His Law of Moses. And many Jewish people do a poor job in obeying GOD’s Commandments and Laws. Not because the Rabbis teach disobedience to GOD, they don’t. They teach The Law of Moses every Sabbath in the synagogues. But many Jewish people voluntarily refuse to obey GOD. Sadly, when Jewish people come into Messianic Judaism believing in The Jewish Messiah Yeshua, we are taught by many Bible teachers who are both Jewish and non-Jewish NOT to obey GOD’s Law of Moses, and that is opposition to GOD Almighty.
The Saturday Sabbath outside Judaism has been changed by man to Sunday or another day of choice other than GOD’s commanded day Saturday.
The Festivals of GOD, His appointed times found in Leviticus 23 have been replaced with christmas and easter and other manmade inventions.
GOD’s Commandments and Laws have been abolished and changed outside Judaism. Messiah Yeshua’s reaction to that is found in Matthew 7.23 where He says, “Depart from Me you that work lawlessness”.
GOD’s teaching of one GOD and no other beside Him has been replaced with the doctrine of the trinity that teaches one GOD in three distinct and different persons. Essentially three different gods. That is not Biblical teaching. The trinity teaches that Yeshua is not The Father. See Isaiah 9.6(5) Yeshua is The Father. The trinity teaches that The Spirit is a person distinct and different from both The Father and The Son. That is three different gods. The Bible teaches one GOD, period, and never teaches any distinction or differences in The Father, Son, and Spirit because there are no differences. The Father, Son, and The Spirit are one and the same.
Yeshua said, he that has seen Me has seen The Father. John 14.9. Yeshua is The Father, and The Father is Yeshua. Yeshua also said, “he that sees Me, sees Him that sent Me.” John 12.45. The LORD GOD of Creation sent Himself in the person of Yeshua The Messiah. ISAIAH 48.16-17
The one GOD sent Himself whether in the Old Testament to appear to Adam and Eve, even to create them, and to appear to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses and others. Or in the Person of Yeshua The Messiah in the New Testament. There are no differences. Why? Because GOD says He is The One and only GOD. There are no others. Yeshua is GOD Almighty Who made Himself a child and a Son, Isaiah 9.6(5), The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father Who hung on a tree, a cross, to be our atonement for our sins. And yet GOD is a Spirit Who fills Heaven and earth always and forever. He is GOD.
GOD has appeared in many different manifestations or appearances. He has appeared as The Messiah, and will appear again as The Messiah when He returns. GOD has appeared as The Glory of GOD. Picture thousands of rainbows in one. GOD has appeared as The Angel of The LORD, or the flame in a bush that did not burn, or Face to face with Abraham, and Moses, and others. He is I AM. GOD is GOD. He can do whatever He pleases. And what He does is always within His Law, The Law of Moses. GOD has no restrictions or limitations. Is anything too hard for The LORD? GOD is GOD, and He is one. There are no differences or distinctions in The Father, Son, and Spirit because they are one and the same. Paul sums it up in ROMANS 11.33-36.
Let’s look at a few Scriptures that teach that GOD is one, and He never changes. EPHESIANS 1.23, DEUTERONOMY 4.35&39, NUMBERS 23.19, LUKE 16.17, 1 PETER 1.23-25
We said at the outset of this teaching that we would address the subject of complaining, and how to overcome it.
EXODUS 16.6-8 The word murmur in Hebrew is LOON meaning to complain or murmur day and night. We Jews call complaining kvetching. A person might be called a kvetch who complains. It’s a Yiddish word.
We all, or at least some of us have experienced in our lifetime a moment or two when we have complained. So to get a better idea of why we complain, I looked up the word complain in the Dictionary. I don’t think yo
u will be shocked to hear what complain means and why we complain. Complain means to show or voice dissatisfaction or unhappiness, or anger and annoyance or irritation. We complain because of resentment or bitterness or even jealousy. Complaining can come because of pain or grief, or finding fault. And I will also add to this list. Complaining can come from fear, fear of anything, fear that something bad might happen. Fear of someone whom you think might cause you grief or pain. Fear of the unknown. Fear of anything.
Here are a few Biblical reasons why people complain.
LAMENTATIONS 3.39 Why does a person complain because GOD is punishing him or her for their sins? Remember, sin is breaking The Law of Moses. 1 John 3.4. So we might be complaining because we’re in sin. We are breaking The Torah, GOD’s Law of Moses.
EXODUS 14.11 Fear caused the people to complain. They were frightened they would die in the wilderness. “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness?”
EXODUS 15.23-24 The people complained because they didn’t have water to drink. “What shall we drink?”
JAMES 5.9 People complain about others.
PSALM 77.1-3 When we complain bitterly, our spirit might fail, that is we might become weak, even thinking GOD has abandoned us.
So what should we do in times of unhappiness or anger, or in times of bitterness, or pain, or even fear? How do we stop complaining and lift ourselves up and be the children of GOD we want to be, and return to a healthy and happy life?
First, what’s the problem? Why are you complaining? Well, GOD might be testing you to see if you will obey His Law or not. His Law is The Law of Moses. He might be humbling you to submit to Him, and obey His Law. And that might be the reason you are going through the hardship that GOD calls a test.
DEUTERONOMY 8.1-3, LUKE 4.1-4, 1 PETER 4.12-14
Testings and trials of hardships are part of our walk with The LORD our GOD. He wants to know what is in our heart whether we will obey His Law and Commandments or not. GOD already knows the answer.
1. If you are suffering because you are in sin, breaking GOD’s Law of Moses, 1 John 3.4, stop sinning and repent. Repent means to turn from all your sins, and obey GOD’s Law, His Law of Moses.
EZEKIEL 18.21-22 And GOD will deliver you.
2. If you are positive you are not in sin, having faith in Messiah Yeshua, walking in GOD’s Laws and Commandments, you must know and believe that GOD will end the test, and deliver you from the trial of adversity, and bless you.
GENESIS 22.10-18, 1 CORINTHIANS 10.13
Another good example of a GODly person who did not sin and yet GOD tested him bitterly was Job. GOD called Job perfect and upright. He walked in GOD’s Law, and feared GOD, and avoided evil. Yet GOD tested him, bitterly. But in time, GOD delivered Job and blessed him abundantly after the test. GOD will do the same for you. He will deliver you after the test, and bless you. There is no need to complain, but be patient, and wait on The LORD, expecting deliverance, and knowing you will be blessed.
JOB 1.1-22; 2.1-10
(Job 1.8) There is none like Job in the earth. He is perfect, that is law-abiding.
Upright, that is law-abiding and he departs from evil.
(Job 1.22) In all the trouble, Job did not sin.
(Job 2.9-10) Nor did he sin with his lips.
And the blessings after the test. JOB 42.10-17
(Job 42.10) The LORD turned the captivity of Job. GOD returned Job to his former state of health, and happiness, and prosperity. And GOD gave Job twice as much as he had before because he did not sin, even through the trial, he kept GOD’s Laws and Commandments.
The story of Job is a good example for all of us. Why? Because if you are not in sin, you don’t have to complain knowing GOD will deliver you from the trial, and bless you. But if you are in sin, breaking GOD’s Law of Moses, stop sinning and repent. Turn from all your sins and obey GOD’s Law of Moses, and He will deliver you. There is no reason to complain.
In times of difficulty, I do at least four things.
FIRST – Am I in sin? Am I breaking GOD’s Law of Moses? Am I living according to every Word of GOD? If I have fallen, I repent.
SECOND I pray a lot, and praise Him. The Bible says, I will bless The LORD at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34.1. And I ask The LORD to deliver me and Jan from the trial and bless us.
THIRD I read a lot of Scripture. Those Scriptures that are uplifting to me that give me hope and comfort such as PSALM 1.1-3, PSALM 34.1-4, 17-19, PSALM 37.1-9, MATTHEW 5.1-12
And finally, I keep on keeping on knowing that GOD will deliver us, being in obedience to GOD, continuing to obey His Laws and Commandments. My eyes are always on The LORD GOD. It’s comforting. And knowing He hears me. And I continue to read Scripture for comfort and hope. Here are a few verses of Scripture that will always comfort you.
JEREMIAH 31.3, ISAIAH 26.3-4, PROVERBS 3.1-12, 1 PETER 5.6-11, JOHN 17.23
So complaining can be overcome if you know why you are suffering. GOD might be testing you to see if you will keep His Laws or not. He might be humbling you so you will submit to Him and obey His Commandments and Laws.
If you are in sin, that is breaking GOD’s Law of Moses, 1John 3.4, stop sinning, and repent. Repentance is turning from all your sins and obey GOD, His Law of Moses.
If you are not in sin, and you are being tested with some adversity, continue and endure and do not sin. And GOD will deliver you, and bless you.
Pray a lot, and praise Him. Read a lot of Scripture for comfort and hope. GOD is a GOD of His Word, and He will deliver you IF YOU DO IT HIS WAY. And as Peter writes, The GOD of all grace Who has called you into His eternal glory by Messiah Yeshua, after that you have suffered a while, will make you perfect, established, He will strengthen you, and settle you.

GOD’S GRACE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
Shalom. Our teaching this morning will be from Exodus 16.11-21. The time is one month after the children of Israel had been delivered out of Egyptian bondage by the mighty Hand of The LORD their GOD. And The LORD began to miraculously feed His people manna and quails during their 40 year wilderness journey to the Promised Land.
READ EXODUS 16.11-21
EXODUS 16.11-12 The people complained against Moses and Aaron because they lacked sufficient food to eat. They felt that Egypt was paradise compared to the great and terrible wilderness they found themselves in. They preferred death in Egypt by The Hand of The LORD. And they dismissed the promise The LORD their GOD had made to Abraham and his descendants, the Jewish people that GOD would give the land of Israel to the Jewish people for an everlasting possession. The people said they preferred death rather than living in the wilderness with hunger. And somehow thought that Moses and Aaron brought them into the wilderness to kill them. Verses 2-3. The children of Israel totalled some 3 million people. I must say, difficulties will occur in life before we get to the promised land.
EXODUS 16.12 GOD heard the complaining of the children of Israel, and He answered by miraculously providing quails for them in the evening, and bread in the morning.
And GOD said to the children of Israel, and you shall know that I AM The LORD your GOD. READ EXODUS 16.11-12.
GOD did not just say, I AM The LORD GOD, He said to Moses and the children of Israel, I AM The LORD YOUR GOD. In Hebrew AHNEE YEHOVAH ELOHAYKHEM.
I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD.
There is a special relationship between GOD and Israel. GOD chose the Jewish people by His own act of grace. And GOD’s act of grace is to the nations also because Yeshua The Messiah said, For Salvation is of the Jews. GOD did not choose the Jewish people because of any special quality or distinction we possess. He chose us to be His witnesses to the world, to know GOD, and believe Him, and understand that He is The One and only GOD. And before Him there was no GOD formed, and neither will there be after Him. Isaiah 43.10
GOD chose the Jewish people to be their GOD, Genesis 17.7-8, to be a holy people to The LORD their GOD, to be a special people unto Himself above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His love upon us because we were more in number than any people, for we were the fewest of all people, but because The LORD loved the Jewish people. Deuteronomy 7.6-8.
As witnesses for The LORD GOD of Creation, we have written the entire Bible from Genesis through Revelation that contains GOD’s Word and Laws. And GOD gave us the privilege and honor to bring the Mighty GOD into History to reveal The GOD of Creation to the world, and to tell the world GOD’s Word and His Laws known as The Torah, The Law of Moses, the standard by which all peoples, nations, and languages are to live by. That is the whole duty of mankind, Deuteronomy 32.1, Luke 8.21, etc.
The Jewish people were chosen by GOD to bring forth The Messiah Yeshua as a human being, Who Himself is GOD Almighty in the flesh. For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3.16.
Yeshua The Messiah said, For Salvation is of the Jews, John 4.22. Because Salvation comes by faith in the Jewish Messiah Yeshua, and Salvation must be accompanied with an upright, GODly, and holy life which can only be accomplished by living according to the Laws, Commandments, Statutes and Ordinances GOD gave to the Jewish people known as The Torah, The Law of Moses. That is GOD’s formula for non-Jewish people to be grafted into Israel and the Jewish people. And that is the grace of GOD to the nations.
So yes GOD said to the Jewish people, And you shall know that I AM The LORD YOUR GOD.
EXODUS 16.13 So GOD gave the children of Israel quails in the evening to eat. GOD covered the camp of some 3 million people every evening with quails, little birds for the people to eat. And He did that every evening for 40 years.
Quails you well know are small birds, and it is said that their meat is the most delicate eating of all game, that is all wild animals and birds that are hunted for food.
EXODUS 16.14-15 Hoar frost is the white covering frost.
Manna in Hebrew is MAHN, and the people called the small white thing MAHN HOO meaning, What is it?
NUMBERS 11.7-9 The color bedellium is a pearl-like color, greyish and white. Jewish tradition says, manna was a rich and tasty food, and it was prepared in various ways. Other rabbinic tradition states that the manna had many different tastes suiting the palate or taste of each person.
EXODUS 16.16-18 An omer is or was a dry measure of manna. Everyone had enough food to eat. In fact, they had plenty of food to eat during their 40 year journey through the deserts to the promised land Canaan which GOD named Israel. And as we described last week, GOD in His grace supernaturally fed the children of Israel, some 3 million people, 131 billion, 400 million meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He created the food. Plus the drinking water for the people and their animals, and the food that GOD fed their animals. He created their food from nothing.
Some Bible teachers teach that there is no grace in the Old Testament. That is not true. GOD’s grace for His Creation is seen from Genesis Chapter One and continues throughout the entire Bible and all through eternity. And GOD’s judgments are recorded from Genesis Chapter three and continues through Revelation Chapter 22. Atonement for sins is Old Testament grace. GOD has given us laws and commandments in the Old Testament to live a holy, healthy, and a prosperous life, that when we live by them, it pleases GOD. That is Old Testament grace. The Law of Moses and the Prophets wrote of Yeshua The Messiah. John 1.45. That is Old Testament grace. Everlasting life is GOD’s grace, and that is Old Testament grace. Daniel 12.2. And don’t forget that GOD will bless those who bless the Jewish people. Genesis 12.3. That is Old Testament grace. And God will bless those who bless the Jewish people with salvation . They will inherit eternal life in the Kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world. That is Old Testament grace. Matthew 25.31-46. GOD is a GOD of grace. How can anyone say there is no grace in the Old Testament?
EXODUS 16.19 GOD commanded the people not to leave any manna on the ground til the morning of the next day. Let me say this. It is always wise to do what The Word of GOD commands us to do. And GOD will bless you.
If a Bible teacher or anyone tells you differently, that a comman
dment or a law of GOD does not apply today, that person is encouraging you to trust in a lie. That person is teaching you rebellion against The LORD. Exodus 16.20 is an example of not doing what GOD commands.
EXODUS 16.20 Some ignored GOD’s command from Moses. They disobeyed GOD. And when those people went outside the following morning, the manna left on the ground bred worms. The manna became infested with maggots and stunk. Disobedience to GOD will always bring trouble. That we can count on. Obedience to GOD will always bring blessings. And that we can count on. And that is Old Testament grace.
EXODUS 16.21-24 So on Friday, the sixth day of the week, GOD gave the people a double portion of food.
The seventh day of the week Saturday is the rest of The Holy Sabbath unto The LORD from Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown. And the Sabbath is a day for not working, or gathering, or cooking food because it is a holy day of rest unto The LORD.
So the people are to cook on Friday before sundown, and have enough food for Saturday without cooking on the Sabbath. That applied then in the days of Moses. It applied in the days of Adam and Eve, and Noah, Genesis 2.1-3. And it applies today. And will be in effect forever.
Those who teach that the Sabbath is Sunday, or any day you choose, they are causing you to trust in a lie. They are teaching rebellion against The LORD.
And those who obeyed GOD’s Word from Moses and set aside food for the Sabbath, and did not cook on the Sabbath, their food was delicious. And as The Bible says in Verse 24, their food did not stink, neither was there any worm in it.
Let me say this. The truth of GOD is not taught in too many places today. Many Bible teachers teach that disobedience to GOD is good, and obedience to GOD is bad. What do I mean? Many Bible teachers teach that obedience to GOD’s Law of Moses is bad. And disobedience to GOD’s Law of Moses is good. They teach people to trust in a lie. And they most certainly teach rebellion against GOD.
Many Bible teachers teach the trinity that there is one GOD in three distinct, and separate persons. They teach that Yeshua is not The Father. If Yeshua is not The Father, then how many gods do they suppose there are? You must believe, and know, and understand that there is only one GOD, and Yeshua is The One GOD. Yeshua is The Father, and The Father IS Yeshua. John 12.45, John 14.9 and Isaiah 9.6(5). One GOD. There are not three distinct and separate persons or gods. There is only One GOD. That is the central teaching of The Bible. Hear O Israel, The LORD our GOD, The LORD is ONE. And Yeshua is The Holy Spirit. There is only One GOD, and Yeshua The Messiah is that One GOD.
Okay. A question on the Sabbath. Why does the Saturday Sabbath start at sundown Friday, and end on sundown Saturday?
GENESIS 1.5 The evening and the morning were the first or one day. GOD ordained the day this way. From sundown to sunrise is night. From sunrise to sundown is day. Thus the day starts in the evening at sundown, and ends the following evening at sundown. Thus the Sabbath begins Friday at sundown, and ends Saturday at sundown.
So in conclusion, our GOD is a GOD of grace. He said, for Salvation is of the Jews. And that is Old Testament grace. We Jews have been around since Abraham, Genesis Chapter 12, in the Old Testament.
The Old Testament and the New Testament are one, one Bible about the One God.
Shalom, Ira Weinstein
THE ONE GOD.
EXODUS 16.4-10
Shalom. Our teaching this morning will be from Exodus 16.4-10, but we will start by reading Exodus 16.1-10.
READ EXODUS 16.1-10
EXODUS 16.4-8 VERSE 8 Flesh in Hebrew is BAH SAR meaning meat.
To the full. Full in Hebrew is SAH VAH meaning, you will be satisfied. You will have enough, you will have plenty of food to eat.
The LORD miraculously created food for the children of Israel for 40 years while they were in the wilderness until they arrived at the promised land, Canaan, that GOD renamed Israel after Jacob. And they had plenty of food to eat all those years in the wilderness.
Manna in Hebrew is MAHN which they called MAHN HOO, meaning, What is it?
VERSE 5 GOD gave the people a double portion on the sixth day which is Friday. The seventh day Saturday is a day of rest from Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown. The Sabbath is a day of ceasing from work, and gathering and cooking food because it is a holy day of rest unto The LORD. EXODUS 16.22-23
VERSE 22 OMER in Hebrew is OMEHR, a heap or a day measure of bread.
VERSE 23 Seethe in Hebrew is BAH SHAL meaning boil, cook or roast.
The Saturday Sabbath is part of the 10 Commandments.
EXODUS 20.10-11
In Jewish homes, it is a custom to place two loaves of bread, usually challahs on the Sabbath eve table (Friday night). The custom comes from the double portion of manna GOD gave the children of Israel on Fridays.
BACK TO
EXODUS 16.23 Tomorrow is the rest of the Holy Sabbath unto The LORD. Yeshua said, The Son of Man (Who is Yeshua The Messiah) is LORD also of the Sabbath. MARK 2.28
Yeshua, Who is GOD Almighty, is The LORD of the Sabbath. He made the Sabbath for man to rest from all his work. He blessed the Sabbath, and sanctified it. That is He made the Saturday Sabbath holy and pure for man to rest from all his work. Yeshua is The LORD of the Sabbath. And He is also saying, He is GOD
Almighty, The Creator of Heaven and earth.
GENESIS 2.1-3
GOD is Yeshua The Messiah.
BACK TO
EXODUS 16. 8, 13 Dew is the moisture that covers the vegetation. And the dew lay round about the host. The host are the people, the children of Israel.
So GOD gave the people manna in the morning, and quails for meat in the evening. And our GOD is a GOD of miracles. He miraculously created food from nothing during their 40 years in the wilderness before they reached the land of Canaan. For 3 million people during that 40 year period, and not including food for their animals, or drinking water for the people and their animals, GOD supernaturally created 131 billion, 400 million meals, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during that 40 year span. 131 billion, 400 million meals!
Words cannot fully explain The LORD GOD of Creation, Who is Yeshua The Messiah, but this we do know, He is awesome and loving. Our GOD is gracious, having an abundance of mercy. And The LORD is a GOD of judgment. Blessed are all they who serve Him.
Here’s how I arrived at that number of 131 billion, 400 million meals.
There are 365 days in a year. 40 years equal 14,600 days. (40 years X 365 days per year = 14,600 days.)
3 meals per day for one person equals 43,800 meals for each person during the 40 years.
(3 meals per day X 14,600 days = 43,800 meals for each person over the 40 years in the wilderness)
3 million people times 43,800 meals for each person equals 131,400,000,000 meals.
As a side note, there are seven billion people in the world today. And GOD feeds them all, every day. Figure that out. Our GOD is an awesome GOD.
So on that thought, how did Yeshua feed the 5,000 and 4,000 plus women and children with a few loaves of bread and some fishes? The answer is, He created the food from nothing. Yeshua is GOD Almighty Who miraculously fed the children of Israel 131 billion, 400 million meals. And He created the food for the 5,000 and 4,000 plus women and children. MATTHEW 14.14-21
Yeshua, God Almighty created the food.
Messiah miraculously turned water into wine. He created the wine. JOHN 2.1-11
Messiah created the tax money in the mouth of the fish that Peter caught, from nothing. MATTHEW 17.24-27
After His resurrection, Messiah, The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father supernaturally created a catch of 153 fish for His disciples when the night before they caught nothing. JOHN 21.1-14
VERSE 9 He also created the fish and bread for them to dine with Him.
Because Yeshua is GOD Almighty, The Creator of Heaven and earth and all that is in them, it was He Who calmed the storm, and walked on water. He miraculously healed people who sought Him for healing. He restored the demon possessed, cured people of leprosy, raised the dead, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, speech to the speechless. He even restored the ear to the person whose ear Peter cut off with his sword when Messiah was arrested. Yeshua is The One GOD taught in The Bible. He is The LORD GOD and there is none else beside Him.
All miracles are from GOD. And Yeshua is GOD, GOD Almighty. The miracles in T’Nak, The Old Testament are from The Messiah Yeshua Who is GOD, Ha Shem, The Creator of Heaven and earth. Yeshua miraculously made Moses’ rod a snake. And He did the same to the rods of the Egyptian magicians. He made their rods snakes also but He caused Moses’ rod to swallow up their rods. The 10 plagues in Egypt miraculously came from Yeshua, GOD Almighty. Yeshua, Who is I AM, Yehovah opened the Red Sea, and the Jordan River. He brought water from a rock, raised the dead, had ravens feed Elijah, caused Balaam’s donkey to talk. He delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego from the blazing furnace, and Daniel from the lions’ den. He raised Jonah from the dead, and delivered him from the whale’s stomach to witness the truth in Ninevah. All these miracles, and so many more were done by The One GOD, GOD Almighty, Who is our Messiah, Yeshua Ha Mashiakh.
ISAIAH 9.6 (5), ISAIAH 48.16-17
(Isaiah 48.16-17) Yeshua is The LORD GOD, and He is The Spirit of GOD, and our Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel. Perhaps a little complicated for us, but The LORD GOD sent Himself in the person of Yeshua The Messiah. He is The LORD our GOD, Who teaches us to profit, which leads us by the way that we should go.
ZECHARIAH 2.8-9 The LORD sent The LORD Who is Himself, perhaps in the person of Yeshua, or His Spirit to the nations that spoiled and plundered Israel. GOD is ONE. There is o
nly ONE GOD. Do not compare GOD with a man. GOD is GOD. He is The Father, Messiah, and The Spirit. His Spirit fills Heaven and earth always, all the time, at the same time.
ZECHARIAH 2.10-11 The LORD sent Himself in the person of Yeshua The Messiah to dwell with His people, Jewish and non-Jewish. There is only one GOD. The New Testament never speaks of three distinct, separate, and different gods. Yeshua is the ONE GOD of Creation. He is The Father, The Son, and The Spirit. All one and the SAME.
You were chosen by GOD to be GOD’s witnesses, to know Him, to believe Him, and understand that GOD is GOD, and there are no other gods, and neither shall there be after Him. There is only one GOD and Yeshua is that GOD. As a servant and witness of GOD, you must know that, and believe it. That is Biblical teaching.
ISAIAH 43.10, EXODUS 20.1-3 Part of the 10 Commandments.
Yeshua cannot be another god, a distinct and different person from The Father. Yeshua is The One and only GOD. And He says, you shall have no other gods before Me.
BACK TO
EXODUS 16.7, 9-10 The glory of The LORD appeared in the cloud. Glory in Hebrew is KAH VODE meaning spendor, magnificence, beauty and majesty.
The glory of The LORD is the manifestation of GOD’s glorious Presence, His Appearance. Not in the likeness of a man, but perhaps in the likeness of thousands of rainbows in one.
The Shikynah glory is GOD’s magnificent, glorious Presence, the divine Presence. Shikynah is a Rabbinic term, from Rabbinic literature in the Talmud, meaning GOD’s Presence pervades or is throughout the universe.
Keep in mind, GOD reveals Himself in different manifestations or appearances. And The ONE GOD appeared as the glory of The LORD, and The ONE GOD appeared as Yeshua The Messiah. Yet GOD is a Spirit Who fills Heaven and earth, always.
GOD appeared to Moses as a flame of fire in a bush that did not burn.
GOD revealed Himself as The Angel of The LORD to Abraham and others.
GOD revealed Himself to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and others in human form, but He was fully GOD. He is Yeshua The Messiah, The ONE GOD.
GOD revealed Himself as a baby, a child, and a son, The Messiah, given to the Jewish people. He was fully GOD and fully man. Messiah is The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9.6(5), Micah 5.2(1)
And GOD Almighty, The Father, made Himself a man in the person of Yeshua The Messiah to be our atonement for our sins. GOD cannot die, but the humanity of Yeshua did. Perhaps that’s why Yeshua cried out with a loud voice on the tree saying, “My GOD, My GOD, why have you forsaken Me?”
Psalm 22.1, Matthew 27.46
Why have you forsaken Me in Hebrew is LAH MAH AH ZAHV TAH NEE – Why have you abandoned Me? Why have you left Me?
The Spirit of GOD left Yeshua, and for three days and three nights Yeshua was dead. Our atonement for our sins. Then the Spirit of GOD returned and entered Yeshua again, and raised Him from the dead. And 40 days later He rose into Heaven.
There is a Scripture that can be difficult. There are a number of Scriptures that might be difficult, but always keep in mind, there is only One GOD, The Father, The Son, and The Spirit are that One GOD.
EXODUS 33.20
The Bible gives us the answer and understanding to GOD’s Word that says, “You cannot see My Face, for there shall no man see Me and live”.
PSALM 17.15 Awake in Hebrew is KOOTS meaning awake and arise as arising into Heaven. Then we will see GOD’s Face because we will be in His likeness in Heaven. We will then have the same spiritual body as GOD.
1 JOHN 3.1-2 When GOD will appear, that is Yeshua Who is GOD The Father, we will be like Him, having the same spiritual body as GOD. And we will see GOD as He is. We will then see The Face of GOD in all His glory.
MATTHEW 5.8 The pure in heart are those who have faith in Messiah Yeshua, and live their lives according to GOD’s laws, His Law of Moses, His teachings and instructions. And we will see GOD.
REVELATION 22.1-4 GOD The Father and The Lamb, Who is Yeshua are one and the same. There is no difference, no distinction, or separation. GOD is ONE. And we will serve HIM in Heaven, and we will see His Face in all His glory.
So yes, those in Messiah who have died, or those who are alive at the coming of The LORD will arise in life to be with GOD always. And we will be like GOD, having the same spiritual body as GOD, and we will see Yeshua Who is GOD The Father as He is. We will see Him Face to face in all His glory. We will see the Father Who is Yeshua the Messiah. Yeshua is the One God.

HARD TESTINGS, BUT WHY?
EXODUS 16.1-4
Shalom and good morning. Our message and teaching this morning will continue where the children of Israel are in the wilderness one month after The LORD delivered them from the bondage of Egypt. And immediately after that, the great miracle of The LORD GOD opening the Red Sea for the children of Israel to cross on dry ground. And GOD followed that by destroying the Egyptian armies, and Pharaoh in the ocean. And The LORD was beginning to humble His people, and test them to see whether they would obey His laws, or not.
Let’s read EXODUS 16.1-4
EXODUS 16.1 Elim in Hebrew is AY LEEM – meaning palm trees. Elim was a place in the Sinai desert.
EXODUS 15.27
The wilderness of Sin in Hebrew is Midbar Seen, and the wilderness of Sin was a desert in the Sinai. As a point of information, the wilderness of Sin is not named after sin, the word for violating GOD’s commandments and laws. And the wilderness of Sin was between Elim and Sinai, perhaps Mt. Sinai.
The 15th day of the month marked one month from the day of the Exodus out of Egypt after 400 years of Jewish slavery under the hands of the Egyptians.
NUMBERS 33.1-4
The children of Israel, some three million strong, have left the oasis of Elim which had twelve wells of water, and seventy palm trees, and now they find themselves in the wilderness of Sin, a vast and terrible wilderness. And this wilderness journey was no picnic for Israel, but The LORD GOD brought them through it as He always does in hard circumstances. DEUTERONOMY 8.15-16
LATTER END in Hebrew is AH KHA REET perhaps meaning eternity.
To do you good so you will inherit eternity in Heaven.
Fiery serpents were burning serpents because of their poisonous bite. A great and terrible wilderness.
And we will talk about testing later in the study, but obviously, testing, though difficult at times, is for our good.
EXODUS 16.2-3 Earlier, the people complained because they had no water to drink. Exodus 15.22-24. Now they complained against Moses because they had no food to eat. GOD was putting them through a severe test. Now complaining might be natural for most people, but it’s not something GOD enjoys hearing.
And I’m not sure at this time in Jewish history when the Jewish people were traipsing through the wilderness of Sin, if they knew at the time, and if they did know, would they really care, that GOD had a great plan for the Jewish people. To make them a great nation. That nation of course is Israel. Genesis 12.2. And that GOD is The GOD of the Jewish People, and will give the land of Israel to them for an everlasting possession. Genesis 17.7-8. And that GOD had adopted the Jewish people to be His own, even His firstborn. Exodus 4.22. And they would often experience the presence of GOD, His Shekynah glory, that GOD was with them.
Would it have helped them to know that GOD gave the Jewish people all His covenants and promises? And knowing that the LORD would give them The Law of Moses, the one law of GOD for all the world to live by? And that they would have the responsibility to serve GOD in His Temple? And the fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob belonged to them. And The Messiah, Who in the flesh, as a human being would come from the Jewish people? And The Messiah is The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace? Isaiah 9.6(5), Micah 5.2(1)
Would this extraordinary knowledge have played any role in their thoughts in the wilderness and prevented them from complaining against Moses and GOD? Maybe, maybe not. But I say this because GOD has a plan, even a great plan, and a great life for every one of us who has faith in Yeshua, and follows Him by keeping the commandments of GOD, His Law of Moses.
PSALM 32.8, PSALM 139.17-18, ROMANS 8.14, REVELATION 7.13-17, ROMANS 9.1-5
GOD teaches that He will instruct us, and teach us in the way that we should go throughout our life. He promises guidance for life. But amazingly much of the world rejects GOD’s teachings and instructions. Even His guarantee for good health. His prescription for sound health.
When the people were complaining because they had no water to drink in the wilderness, GOD told Moses to throw a tree into the bitter water, and The GOD of miracles miraculously made the water drinkable. And GOD spoke words to them promising good health if they do what He says. And His words apply today, to everyone, everywhere.
GOD said, If you will diligently obey the Voice of The LORD your GOD, and will do that which is right in His sight, and will obey His commandments, and keep His statutes, that is His laws, GOD will put none of the diseases upon you which He brought upon the Egyptians. For I AM The LORD that heals you. Simply said, if you will obey GOD, He will give you good health. That promise is available to everyone, everywhere, today.
So part of GOD’s plan for your life is to give you good health, if you will follow His Laws, and His teachings and His instructions. EXODUS 15.26
But amazingly we are told by many Bible teachers and preachers that we are not required to obey those teachings of GOD. We are no longer obligated to obey The Law of Moses. All having different and foolish reasons for not obeying The GOD of Creation. I say we send our medical bills to those Bible teachers and preachers.
EXODUS 16.4 Even in their complaining, even in our complaining, GOD has compassion upon us. He loves us, and He is merciful.
PSALM 103.17-19, LAMENTATIONS 3.31-1, MICAH 7.18
So GOD gave the children of Israel bread from Heaven called manna. And He also would give them quails for meat to eat in the evening. And again, GOD tested them to see whether they will walk in His Law, or not.
Everybody is tested by GOD with various hardships and adversities to see if we will obey GOD’s Laws or not. And unfortunately, most people will not obey GOD’s Laws because for the most part we are taught NOT to obey them. We are taught by some of the greatest Bible teachers in the world outside of Judaism, not to obey GOD’s Law of Moses.
GOD has only one law for all mankind, but most Bible teachers tell us not to obey His Law. Religion follows their own man made laws. A few of them are from GOD. Don’t steal, don’t murder. The world has brushed aside GOD’s Laws. So in the eyes of GOD, they are lawless, unrighteous, ungodly, lawbreakers, reprobate and rebellious because they have rejected the Word of GOD. And unfortunately, they fail GOD’s tests repeatedly. They do not walk in His Law.
So after The LORD gave the children of Israe
l the 10 commandments, Moses said to them, GOD has come to test you, that you may fear Him and not sin. Sin is breaking GOD’s Law of Moses. 1 John 3.4.
A test, according to the American Heritage College Dictionary is a procedure for critical evaluation; a means of determining the presence, quality, or truth of something, or someone. A test is a trial. GOD’s test of evaluating us is to see if we will obey His Law or not. EXODUS 20.18-20
Prove in Hebrew is NAH SAH – meaning test.
GOD tests everybody, and they are not a whole lot of fun. We’ve all experienced them, to see if we will obey GOD’s Law or not. PSALM 11.4-5
Try in Hebrew is BAH KHAN – meaning test, investigate, examine. GOD tests everybody to see if we will obey His Law.
GOD tested Yeshua. LUKE 4.1-8
VERSE 2 Tempted in Greek is PI-RAD-ZO meaning to test, scrutinize, and examine. Even Yeshua was tested by GOD. Why not us?
GOD tested Abraham. GENESIS 22.1-2
And blessings come after we have passed the test, obeying GOD’S Law.
GENESIS 22.15-18
King David was tested by GOD. PSALM 17.1-3
The Bible teaches that patience results from GOD testing us. Why? Because during the hardship we know that if we continue to obey GOD’s Law, He will deliver us, and bless us. JAMES 1.3
Also Peter counsels us that when we pass GOD’s tests of hardships and adversity, and obey His Law of Moses, we will have praise, and honor, and glory when Messiah returns. 1 Peter 1.6-7
Manifold temptations are various adversities.
GOD also may test you with a false prophet. DEUTERONOMY 13.1-4
GOD wants us to test Him with tithing. MALACHI 3.10
Paul instructs us to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith by obeying GOD, and His Law of Moses.
2 CORINTHIANS 13.5-6
Except you are reprobates – Except you reject The Word of GOD. Except you reject The Law of Moses. Yeshua The Messiah is not in anybody who rejects GOD’s Word and His Law of Moses. And Yeshua is GOD, The Holy Spirit.
*Reprobate is one who rejects The Word of The LORD, those who disobey The Torah, The Law of Moses. And explained in 1 SAMUEL 15.22-24
VERSE 23 Because you have rejected The Word of The LORD. Rejected in Hebrew is MAH AHCE – meaning reprobate, casting away GOD’s Word and Law.
The Bible teaches that whom The LORD loves, He chastens with difficult testings, and corrections to bring us closer to Him when we obey His Law. And IN OBEYING GOD’S LAW, WE PARTICIPATE IN HIS HOLINESS. And after the test, GOD will give us peace. HEBREWS 12.1-11
VERSE 1 The witnesses are faithful Believers, obedient to GOD.
VERSE 11 The peaceable fruit of righteousness is righteousness; obeying GOD’s Law.
In testings, we also experience and share in Messiah’s sufferings. So Peter says, rejoice. 1 PETER 4.12-13-14
So perhaps knowing a little bit about GOD testing us might bring some comfort into our lives knowing that The LORD requires us to continue obeying His Law of Moses in all situations. And in so doing, we develop holiness and patience. And even though the times of testing are difficult, they are for our good, and GOD will always deliver us, and give us peace. And obeying GOD’s Law of Moses is not popular in the world, as you know, and that is also a test.
So count it all joy, James writes, when you fall into various testings, knowing this, that the testing of your faith works patience, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Being perfect and complete, lacking nothing in GOD’s eyes, is obeying His Law, His Law of Moses, along with our faith in Messiah Yeshua. See Matthew 5.48.

GREAT BLESSINGS FOR DOING THE LAW OF MOSES
EXODUS 15.19-27
Shalom. Our message and teaching this morning will be from Exodus 15.19-27 which is a continuation of Moses and the children of Israel singing to The LORD, saying, I will sing unto The LORD for He has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider has He thrown into the sea. And Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and then went out into the wilderness of Sinai.
READ EXODUS 15.19-27
EXODUS 15.19-21 Miriam was the sister of Moses and Aaron. And they were Levites, and Miriam was a prophetess.
But first, it was somewhat of a custom for Jewish women to celebrate Israel’s victories in song after a battle. JUDGES 11.34, 1 SAMUEL 18.6-9
And since I cannot find other evidence in The Bible that Miriam the sister of Moses was a prophetess other than The Bible saying she was a prophetess, I’m going to make a wild guess that Miriam, like Jacob before her, testified of the coming Messiah. For The Bible says, the testimony of Yeshua is the spirit of prophecy. REVELATION 19.9-10, GENESIS 49.18
(Genesis 49.18) I have waited for your Salvation O LORD in Hebrew is:
LEE YESHUAT KHA KI VI TI YEHOVAH
For Your Salvation I have waited LORD.
Here is Yeshua’s Name in T’Nakh. SALVATION.
So perhaps Miriam, the sister of Moses prophesied of the coming Messiah, thus making her a prophetess.
Back to
EXODUS 15.22 Shur, meaning wall in Hebrew, was a desert wilderness in the central northern part of Sinai in Egypt, and the children of Israel went three days in the wilderness and found no water.
EXODUS 15.23-25 Marah in Hebrew means bitter.
The waters were bitter. Perhaps meaning the waters were salty, distasteful and unpleasant. And the people complained against Moses. Not a good thing to do because they were also complaining against GOD.
Of course GOD cares for His people. The LORD doesn’t just open oceans and destroy our enemies, The LORD is always concerned about us. He will always gives us the necessities of life such as food, water, clothing, and so much more. The LORD our GOD is concerned and involved with us daily, every second of our life. That’s why Peter wrote, cast all your cares upon The LORD, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5.7.
GOD will never leave you or forsake you, because He loves you with an everlasting love.
(Verse 25) So after the miracle of GOD causing the bitter waters to be sweet and enjoyable, The LORD made a statute and an ordinance for the people. GOD told Israel the conditions for them to have a good and favorable relationship with Him. And since GOD promised Abraham that The LORD would be GOD to him and the Jewish people after him for an everlasting covenant, Genesis 17.7, GOD’s conditions for a good and favorable relationship with Him are conditional upon their obedience to Him, to His commandments, His statutes, and His laws.
And He will also test them from time to time to see IF they will keep His commandments or not.
And the same rules apply to all believers in Messiah Yeshua, Jewish or not Jewish. If we obey The LORD our GOD by keeping His statutes and ordinances, which are the Law of Moses, we also will have an excellent relationship with The LORD our GOD Who is Yeshua The Messiah. And we will also be tested from time to time by The LORD to see if we will keep His commandments or not. His commandments are collectively The Law of Moses.
So GOD tested the people. Three days without water. He humbled them and tested them to know what was in their hearts, whether they would keep His commandments or not. And that is why GOD at times will test us, to know whether we will keep His Law, or not. DEUTERONOMY 8.1-2
Commandments in Hebrew is mitsvote meaning The Law of Moses.
Yes, testings from The LORD bring some hardships into our lives. This we know. But The LORD has His reasons. Besides wanting to know what is in our heart, whether we will obey Him or not during the difficult times, it’s also for our good, to participate in His holiness by obeying His Law of Moses. And after the test comes peace. HEBREWS 12.9-11
The peaceable fruit of righteousness is righteousness, obedience to GOD and His Law of Moses.
EXODUS 15.26 This Verse spells out GOD’s conditions for that special relationship with Him. If, The LORD said, IF you will diligently hearken, that is, pay attention to The LORD GOD and obey His commandments and keep all His statutes, I, The LORD GOD, will put none of these diseases upon you which I have brought upon the Egyptians. For I AM The LORD that heals you. Thus, having that special relationship with GOD and Messiah is conditional upon obedience to His Torah, His Law of Moses, His teachings, and His instructions.
His requirements never change or end. As Yeshua said, It is easier for Heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of The Law to fail. Meaning, The Law of Moses will never change, and it will never end.
LUKE 16.17
Obeying GOD brings blessings. Disobeying Him brings troubles. And that also is a promise of GOD. So with that said, let’s hear from GOD of some of His wonderful blessings for obeying His Law of Moses, and being a doer of them.
DEUTERONOMY 4.1-2 Everyone is commanded by GOD to obey His statutes and judgments. His judgments are His Laws, verdicts and decisions according to His Law of Moses, that we may live.
Live in Hebrew is KHY meaning not only will you live, but you will live well, and prosper, and flourish. You will continue to be safe and sound, even recover to good health, and be healed. GOD will even increase your strength and your memory. All this if you will obey GOD and His Law of Moses. And Yeshua is GOD, The GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.
And you will possess the Land of Israel. No, we are not taking an El Al flight tomorrow to possess The Land, but possessing The Land for us today means inheriting The Land of Israel in The Millennium, and New Jerusalem, the new earth in Heaven forever. If we obey GOD, and live by His Law of Moses. And that includes faith in Messiah Yeshua.
A good question to ask those who tell you The Law of Moses is not in force today and we don’t have to obey it is this. What are GOD’s blessings for not doing The Law of Moses? Tell me just one. Show it to me in The Bible. And I will show you GOD’s curses for not obeying The Law of Moses, from The Bible. Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 26, Matthew 7.23, etc., etc., etc.
DEUTERONOMY 4.6-8 Obeying GOD and His Law of Moses is wisdom and understanding. GOD gives wisdom and understanding to us. He makes us a wise and understanding people. And we have GOD near us whenever we call upon Him. And His laws are righteous which GOD sets before us this day and forever.
DEUTERONOMY 4.10 GOD wants us to hear His Words, and learn to fear Him all the days we live upon the earth. And we are to teach our children the Words of GOD. Which include The Law of Moses.
DEUTERONOMY 4.30-31 When you are in trouble, in tribulation, if you turn to The LORD your GOD, and obey Him, GOD will deliver you because
The LORD your GOD is a merciful GOD, full of love and compassion. He will not forsake you. That is His promise if you will obey Him.
DEUTERONOMY 6.1-2 GOD will prolong our life if we obey Him. Prolong in Hebrew is AHRAKH which means a long, and good life, and eternal life, if we obey GOD’s Torah, His Law of Moses, His teachings, and His instructions. And obeying Torah includes faith in Messiah Yeshua. Deuteronomy 18.18-19, Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, etc.
DEUTERONOMY 6.3 Observe, that is obey GOD’s Law and it will be well with you. The word well in Hebrew, that it will be well with you is YAHTAHV meaning it will be well with you, sound and beautiful, happy and successful and right. Also you will be accepted by GOD. You will be content and glad, if you will hear GOD and obey Him. And you will increase mightily means you will excel speedily, if you obey GOD’s Torah, His Law of Moses.
DEUTERONOMY 11.13-15 When people and nations obey GOD and do what He says, The LORD will give them rain in due season. We have droughts because of disobedience to GOD.
DEUTERONOMY 11.18-23 For obeying The LORD your GOD, your days will be multiplied, as well as the days of your children. And your days on earth will be good and blessed. And The LORD will win your battles, if you will diligently keep all His Laws, to love The LORD yur GOD, to walk in all His ways and to cleave to Him. Those are the promises and blessings of GOD if you will obey Him.
MATTHEW 28.19-20 Here is our calling. Not only to baptize believers, but to teach them about Yeshua The Messiah Who is The GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is Jehovah, Ha Shem. And to teach them the requirements of GOD, to obey Him, and His Law of Moses, and the mighty blessings for obeying Him.
1 TIMOTHY 4.16 Take heed, Paul writes. Pay attention and do the doctrine of The Bible. The doctrine of The Bible is The Law of Moses. This letter was written around 63 C.E., A.D. There were no New Testament writings at the time. Thus Paul is writing about the doctrine of The T’Nak, The Old Testament, which is The Law of Moses. Likewise, the doctrine of The New Testament is also The Law of Moses. And with our faith in Messiah, Paul writes, we are to continue in Biblical doctrine. That Biblical doctrine is The Law of Moses which includes GOD’s teachings and instructions. And Paul continues, you will both save yourself, and them that hear you. And that is Salvation. Now that is a huge blessing for you, and those who hear you, to those who obey The Law. Wise teaching by Paul.
James teaches the simple truth. When we obey GOD, and do His Law, GOD will bless us. James 1.25
1 PETER 1.1-2 Peter begins his first letter to the strangers or non-Jewish believers in five cities outside Israel, that when they obey GOD, and His Law of Moses, they become part of GOD’s elect. And sanctified, made holy by the Spirit, Who is GOD Almighty, Yeshua The Messiah. These words can only apply when having faith in Messiah, and obedience to His Law of Moses. Elect and sanctified because of obedience to Torah.
Now, THE ULTIMATE BLESSING for diligently obeying the Voice of The LORD your GOD, and keeping His Law of Moses, is this. GOD will love you as He loves His Son Yeshua. And His Son Yeshua is GOD Almighty Himself. GOD will love you as much as He loves Himself. That is beyond our comprehension and that is His great love for us because we love Him, and believe in His Messiah Yeshua, and we keep His commandments, His Law of Moses. He has chosen us. JOHN 17.6, 23
And to take this thought a step further, because The LORD loves you, and you obey Him, and His Law, He has chosen you to be special to Himself above all people that are upon the face of the earth. DEUTERONOMY 7.6-9 How huge a blessing is that?
His commandments in Hebrew is MEETSVOTE meaning The Law of Moses.
And that is why Peter wrote to those non-Jewish believers telling them, you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth the praises of Him Who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. Why? Because you love The One GOD Who is Messiah Yeshua, and obey His Torah, His Law of Moses, His teachings, and His instructions. Therefore you are chosen by GOD, and fully part of GOD’s Chosen People. 1 PETER 2.9
Shalom, Ira Weinstein
