Shalom.  Our teaching this morning from Torah, The Law of Moses will be from Leviticus 17.1-11.  And the title of our message is, IT IS WRITTEN IN TORAH, THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE.

And with that said, let’s read Leviticus 17.1-11.

LEVITICUS 17.1-2  The word Spoke, as in “The LORD spoke to Moses”, comes from the Hebrew word DAH’BAYR that means, COMMAND and DECREE.

GOD’S spoken word in The Bible is a Command to be obeyed.  And His Word is a Decree having the force of law.  And GOD’S spoken Word is Law.  And that Law is The Law of Moses, The Torah.

And the following verses are GOD’S Commands and Decrees that are made into Law, all written in the Law of Moses.

LEVITICUS 17.3-4  GOD is speaking about animal sacrifices.

Here is GOD’S Command.  Any person from The House of Israel that kills an ox or lamb or goat in the camp, or kills it out of the camp, the camp is where the tribes of Israel lived, and does not bring the animal for sacrifice to the entrance of the Tabernacle or Temple to offer it to The LORD, and to be accepted by The LORD, blood shall be charged to that person.  He or she has shed blood in disobedience to The LORD’s Command.  And GOD will cut that person off from among His people.  GOD will destroy that person.

Simply said, the animals for sacrifice must be brought to the Tabernacle or the Temple.

ANIMALS CANNOT BE SACRIFICED ANYWHERE ELSE.

This Command is so important that if disobeyed, the penalty is death.

GOD is looking into the future when there will be no Tabernacle or Temple to sacrifice animals.  Thus setting the stage for The Anointed One, Yeshua The Messiah to be The Sacrifice For Atonement for His Jewish People.

LEVITICUS 17.5  GOD commanded the children of Israel to bring their animals for sacrifice to The LORD at the Tabernacle or the Temple to the Priest and offer them for peace offerings to The LORD.

So without a Temple, and there is no Temple in Israel today, there is no lawful place for animal sacrifice.  Thus there is no animal sacrifice for atonement, for Jewish People, and all People.

ATONEMENT IS VITAL AND NECESSARY.

Atonement is of critical importance for reconciliation with GOD, to have our sins forgiven, 1 Samuel 15.24,1 John 3.4, and to have Eternal Life in Heaven.  Because GOD said to Moses, Whosoever has sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My Book.  GOD’S Book is The Book of Life.  Everyone that remains written in GOD’S Book of Life has Eternal Life in Heaven.  Atonement is of great importance.

There is no Temple in Israel today for animal sacrifices.  But GOD has not left His Jewish People without the means for atonement.  The Anointed One, GOD’S Messiah, Messiah Yeshua Who is GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF is Anointed by GOD to be our Atonement through His sacrificial death 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem.  EXODUS 32.33, ISAIAH 53.10, REVELATION 20.15, REVELATION 21.1-4, 27

As a point of information, the animal sacrificed for a peace offering was offered to The LORD for atonement, or for thanksgiving, or for a vow, or a voluntary offering.  Leviticus 7.11-21.

LEVITICUS 17.6  Thus the animal was sacrificed at the Tabernacle or the Temple.  And the Priest sprinkled the blood upon the altar of The LORD to make atonement for the People.  And he burned the fat for a sweet savor to The LORD.

All leading up to Messiah’s voluntary death on a Roman cross in the Jewish City of Jerusalem for the Atonement of His Jewish People, and all Peoples.

That was Messiah’s Anointing.  His death for our atonement.

LEVITICUS 17.7  And GOD said, They shall no more offer their sacrifices to devils after whom they have gone a-whoring.

The Hebrew word for devils is SEH’EE’REEM.  GOD is speaking about the idolatrous worship of he goats that some of the Children Of Israel and the mixed multitude of Gentiles, Exodus 12.38 that went up with Israel in the Exodus, worshipped in Egypt during their 400 years of slavery.

The Hebrew for “They have gone a-whoring” is HAYM ZO’NEEM that means to commit adultery through idol worship.  Adultery is voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse.  GOD said, His People have gone a-whoring because the Children Of Israel committed idolatry, worshipping an idol rather than worshipping their Husband, The GOD of Israel.

And it was adultery because the Children Of Israel are married to GOD.  The Jewish People are GOD’S wife.  ISAIAH 54.5, JEREMIAH 3.14, HOSEA 2.19-20, HEBREW SCRIPTURES HOSEA 2.21-22

(HOSEA 2.19-20, HEBREW SCRIPTURES HOSEA 2.21-22)  Betroth means that GOD has made the Jewish People His wife.  His wife Forever.

And The LORD continues by saying, This shall be a statute forever unto them throughout their generations.  And since Israel and the Jewish People will remain before The LORD forever, this statute remains forever.  ISAIAH 66.22

GOD’S statute forever is this.  Anyone who kills an animal for sacrifice in any other place but the Tabernacle or The Temple shall be  cut off from among His people.

And they shall not sacrifice to devils anymore as some in Egypt did.

LEVITICUS 17.8-9  Again The LORD repeats His Commandment by saying, Whatsoever person of the House of Israel, or of the strangers, that is the Gentiles that reside among you, that offers an animal sacrifice and does not bring it to the Tabernacle or the Temple to offer it to The LORD, remember, The LORD dwells in the Sanctuary with His People, Exodus 25.8, that person shall be cut off from among His People.

Many Jewish philosophers have set out to understand the nature of GOD.  His attributes, His qualities, His character.

But unless they understand that The Messiah Yeshua is The Jewish Messiah, GOD in the flesh as a human being, Who gave His Life voluntarily for Jewish atonement, they will never understand the extraordinary qualities of GOD.

Unquestioned, the philosophers say, is His omnipotence.  His unlimited power.  And His omniscience.  His unlimited knowledge, awareness, and understanding.  And GOD being eternal are never analyzed.  GOD’S attributes, they say correctly, attest to human dependence on The LORD their GOD, and that GOD compels reverence and obedience.

It is assumed by most Jewish philosophers that one cannot know what GOD is like.  And that GOD’S absolute transcendent nature that exceeds ordinary limits cannot in any way be said to resemble a man or woman’s nature, or expressed in human terms.  The philosophers say, it becomes impossible to talk meaningfully about GOD’s attributes.

It is obvious that these Jewish philosophers do not know their Messiah Yeshua Who is Ha Shem, GOD ALMIGHTY, of Whom The Holy Scriptures speak eloquently, and forthright in prophesy that Yeshua The Messiah is ELOHIM.  ISAIAH 9.5, CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES ISAIAH 9.6, MICAH 5.1, CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES MICAH 5.2

 MESSIAH YESHUA IS BOTH THE JEWISH MESSIAH AND THE GOD OF ISRAEL WHO LOVED HIS JEWISH PEOPLE SO MUCH THAT HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR US, FOR OUR ATONEMENT.

These philosophers, and all Jewish People need to read The New Testament Scriptures, which in fact is The New Covenant GOD gave to the Jewish People in Jeremiah 31.31-34.  Because The New Testament is a Jewish Bible, written by Jewish People about Their Jewish Messiah Who gave His life for the Jewish People to make Atonement for them.  And reading the New Testament, they also must be grounded in Torah, The Law of Moses.  Then they will have a greater understanding of GOD and His love for His Jewish People.

GOD’S unsearchable love is revealed in The Messiah Yeshua.  Because GOD has set His love upon us.  And in His love and His pity, GOD has redeemed us through our Messiah Yeshua, because He loves you with an everlasting love.  GOD has entered into a Covenant with you, and you became His.  In His love for you, The LORD your GOD will joy over you with singing.

The Jewish Messiah Yeshua said, Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  Messiah Yeshua laid His Life down for you.  And no one can separate you from the love of GOD Who is The Messiah Yeshua.  Because The GOD of love and peace is always with you.  And to know the love of Messiah passes knowledge.  For GOD will never leave you nor forsake you, nor will He ever forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His Name.  So yes, Messiah’s love for you is that He has given you Atonement for the forgiveness of all your sins when you believe in Him, and Hear The Word of GOD, and D0 It.  Luke 8.21.

The secret things belong too The Lord our GOD.  But those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we must do all the Words of this Law.  DEUTERONOMY 29.29

GOD preordained, that is to say, He decided in advance, in eternity, and predetermined before The Creation that He Himself in The Person of Messiah Yeshua would show His great love to His Jewish People and to all People to be The Sacrificed Lamb for your Atonement.  For your Reconciliation with GOD that leads to Eternal Life with The LORD YOUR GOD in Heaven.  1 PETER 1.19-20

LEVITICUS 17.10  Eating blood is a penalty that will cause GOD to set His Face against that person, and cut him off from among His people, because the life of the flesh is in the blood.

LEVITICUS 17.11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood.  And GOD has given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your soul.  For it is the blood, GOD says, that makes atonement for the soul.

GOD’S Law that is written in The Law of Moses, that says, IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKES ATONEMENT FORTHE SOUL, stands in importance every bit as much as the following five statements:

     THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD.

     GOD IS ETERNAL.

     GOD REQUIRES OBEDIENCE.

     GOD NEVER CHANGES.

     NOR DOES GOD’S WORD OR LAW EVER CHANGE.

BLOOD IS REQUIRED FOR ATONEMENT.

Judaism cannot escape that with man made alternatives for atonement.  GOD’S Word is clear in The Torah, It is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.  Leviticus 17.11.

GOD also says, the blood is life.  LEVITICUS 17.11, 14, DEUTERONOMY 12.23

GOD came to this earth a number of times to visit with Adam and Eve, Noah and his family, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses, and others.

But 2,000 years ago, GOD came to the Land Of Israel to visit His Jewish People for the sole purpose to deliver them from their sins, Matthew 1.21.

Yeshua The Messiah, GOD ALMIGHTY is The Anointed One, Ha Mashiakh, The Messiah.  Anointed to be our Atonement.  And His shed blood is Life that delivered His People from their sins.  And His shed blood is our Life.

Thirty-seven years before the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70 C.E. that stopped the animal sacrifice for atonement,

The Anointed One, Yeshua The Messiah accomplished His mission of GOD.  He gave His Life, and shed His blood for His People.  His Jewish People, you and me.  And not only is the shedding of His blood our Atonement to all who believe in Him, but His shed blood is Life, our Life to Eternal Life.

You see, GOD never left His Jewish People without a way for atonement.  Not even for a minute.  Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  John 15.13.  You and I, and all who believe in Him, who do the Will of GOD by following His Laws that are written in The Law of Moses, are His friends.  The blood is The Life.  It is written in Torah, The Law of Moses.  And Messiah’s Blood is our Life to Eternal Life.

Shalom.  Our teaching from Torah, The Law of Moses, will be from Leviticus 17.1-2.  And the Title of our Message is,  ARE YOU A TRUE WITNESS FOR THE GOD OF ISRAEL?

And with that said, let’s read Leviticus 17.1-2.

The LORD spoke to Moses Face to face in The Tabernacle, in the wilderness, in the Holy of Holies, and elsewhere for forty years.  And in those revelations with GOD, The LORD gave Moses all GOD’S Laws that Moses recorded in what is known as The Law of Moses for all mankind to live by.

After all, GOD does not have one Law for the Jewish People, and other laws for the Gentiles.  GOD has One Law for everybody.  And that Law is called The Law of Moses.  And The Law of Moses  contains all GOD’S Laws.  His Statutes, His Instructions and His Teachings, to do them for your good.

And GOD said to the Children of Israel, If you will obey My Laws that are written in The Law of Moses, GOD will make Israel and the Jewish people, and all people who keep GOD’S Law of Moses, a Kingdom of Priests, and a Treasure, and a Holy Nation.  EXODUS 19.5-6, 1 PETER 2.8-9, NUMBERS 15.14-16

(1 Peter 2.9)  Being called out of darkness is having Atonement in Messiah Yeshua, and living a new life by obeying GOD’S Voice, His Law of Moses, and His Word that stands and continues forever.  ISAIAH 40.8

The Title of our message is, ARE YOU A TRUE WITNESS OF THE GOD OF ISRAEL?  To be a true witness of THE GOD OF ISRAEL, it is necessary to know, and understand, and believe Who The GOD Of ISRAEL is.

The GOD OF ISRAEL IS The CREATOR, THE ONE GOD.  AND THE GOD OF ISRAEL IS THE JEWISH MESSIAH YESHUA.  EXODUS 24.9-11

The GOD OF ISRAEL IS GOD ALMIGHTY.

The Hebrew word most often written for GOD, over 3,000 times in The Holy Scriptures, is ELOHIM.  ELOHIM in Hebrew means gods. However when writing or speaking of THE GOD OF ISRAEL, ELOHIM MEANS GOD.  GOD SINGULAR.

Not only does The Spirit of GOD fill Heaven and earth, ELOHIM, GOD can appear in bodily form in many different places all at the same time.  As GOD was in Mt. Sinai with Moses, Aaron, and his sons, and the seventy elders of Israel, GOD was also in Heaven.  And perhaps in other places as well.  All at the same time.  He is GOD, The ONE GOD.  HE IS ELOHIM.

When Messiah Yeshua was in Israel with His Jewish People, His Jewish People saw GOD ALMIGHTY, I AM.  They saw their Jewish Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiakh.  And GOD ALMIGHTY was also in Heaven, and perhaps other places as well, bodily.  All at the same time.

THE ONE GOD, THE GOD OF ISRAEL, ELOHIM IS THE FATHER, THE SON, THE MESSIAH, THE SPIRIT, THE HOLY SPIRIT, MELCHIZEDEK, THE GLORY OF THE LORD, AND AT TIMES, THE ANGEL OF THE LORD, AND SO MUCH MORE.

GOD IS ELOHIM.  GOD IS THE MESSIAH YESHUA.  GENESIS 1.26, GENESIS 18.1, DEUTERONOMY 4.35-39, DEUTERONOMY 6.4, MARK 12.29, PSALM 110.1, JEREMIAH 23.24 JOHN 17.1

GOD is NOT a trinity of three different gods.  That is pagan doctrine.  And believing that, and testifying the trinity is being a false witness.

THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, AND YESHUA THE MESSIAH IS THAT ONE GOD.  HE IS THE GOD OF ISRAEL.  JOHN 8.58-59, JOHN 12.44-45, JOHN 14.9, ISAIAH 9.6, HEBREW SCRIPTURES ISAIAH 9.5

The prophet Micah prophesies that Messiah is The ONE GOD, yet born in Bethlehem, having no beginning or end.

MICAH 5.2, HEBREW SCRIPTURES MICAH 5.1  But you Bethlehem Ephratah (Bethleham Ephratah is Bethlehem, Genesis 48.7) though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you, or from you, shall He (The Messiah) come forth unto Me (GOD) that is to be Ruler in Israel Whose origin has no beginning or end.

This is major prophesy of The Messiah Yeshua Who is The GOD OF ISRAEL.

Continuing with Micah’s prophesy, the Hebrew for “He (Messiah) shall come forth unto Me (GOD)” is LEE YAY’STAY meaning, He (Messiah Yeshua) will come forth unto GOD Who is born from GOD.  And He will be Ruler in Israel.

He, The Messiah Yeshua is GOD ALMIGHTY because He has no beginning or end.

The Hebrew for Whose goings forth, as in, He is to be Ruler in Israel “Whose goings forth” is OO’MO’STAH’TYVE meaning Messiah’s origin.

And the Prophet tells us that Messiah Yeshua has no origin because He is from of old, from everlasting.  From of old in Hebrew is ME’KEH’DEHM, meaning from Eternity.  From everlasting in Hebrew is MEE’MAY OLAM, meaning from Eternity.

Messiah Yeshua has no beginning or end because MESSIAH YESHUA IS GOD ALMIGHTY, THE GOD OF ISRAEL.  HE IS ELOHIM.

The prophesy is this.  The Messiah will be born of GOD in Bethlehem of Judah.  And He will be Ruler in Israel.  He has no beginning or end. Emphatically stating that Messiah Yeshua is GOD, THE ONE GOD, The GOD OF ISRAEL, ELOHIM.  MATTHEW 1.1, 6, 21

Further prophetic evidence from The Holy Scriptures is that Messiah Yeshua is the descendant of David.

The Prophet Nathan told King David that his Descendant, (Who is The Messiah Yeshua), will have a Temple, and David’s throne that will be established forever.  2 SAMUEL 7.8-16

(2 SAMUEL 7.10)  This Scripture predicts the future 1,000 year Messianic Kingdom in Israel whose God-Given borders will extend to the Euphrates River.  GENESIS 15.18-21

(2 SAMUEL 7.12-13) David’s Descendant after him is The Messiah Yeshua.  GOD will establish His Kingdom in Israel, and His Throne. That is His rule over all the earth forever.  Messiah’s Kingdom will continue into Heaven throughout Eternity.  ZECHARIAH 14.9, REVELATION 21 AND 22

(2 SAMUEL 7.14-15) Are about Solomon.

(2 SAMUEL 7.16)  David’s House, I believe, is the Family of GOD, Luke 8.21.  The Kingdom of Messiah will be established forever before David.  And sitting on David’s throne will be Messiah Yeshua, King of Israel, and King over all the earth.

Thus The GOD OF ISRAEL is The Jewish Messiah Yeshua.  That is key to being a true witness for The Messiah.

Do you know what the last words of Yeshua The Messiah were before He ascended into Heaven?  Let’s read them in ACTS 1.8-9.

The power that Messiah gave His apostles was The Holy Spirit.

What does The Holy Spirit cause you to do?

The Holy Spirit causes you to walk in GOD’S Statutes and keep His Judgments, and do them.  In other words, The Holy Spirit causes you to obey The Law of Moses.  EZEKIEL 36.25-27

The person who claims to be a believer in Jesus Christ, Yeshua The Messiah, and does not obey The Law of Moses, that person has no relationship with The Messiah Yeshua, nor does he or she have The Holy Spirit.  That person is a poor witness for The GOD of Israel.

The Holy Spirit is The Spirit of Truth.  The person who has The Holy Spirit lives by The Truth.  The Truth is believing in The Messiah Yeshua for your Atonement, and living your life according to all GOD’S Laws that are written in The Law of Moses.  That is the Truth.

That person is a true witness of The GOD OF ISRAEL, The Messiah Yeshua.  JOHN 14.15-17

Let’s return to ACTS 1.8.

Jerusalem is the home of The Jewish People.  All Judea is the home of The Jewish People.  Samaria at the time was the home of Jewish People and Gentiles.  And the uttermost part of the earth is mostly Gentile with a scattering of Jewish People.

Messiah Yeshua’s witnesses, the twelve apostles were all Jewish.  They were Not Christians.  Nor were they Jewish Christians.  They were all Jewish.

Christianity came into existence as a religion 313 years AFTER the death of THE Messiah in 313 A.D. when the Roman emperor Constantine converted the Roman empire to Christianity.

In so doing, Constantine distanced himself from Judaism eliminating every Law that GOD gave to Moses in The Law of Moses including GOD’S Sabbaths and The Festivals of GOD.  The food laws of GOD.  And introduced the pagan doctrine of the trinity of three different gods.  The father is one god.  The messiah is another god.  And the holy spirit is yet another god.  Constantine abolished The Truth of The Bible.  Constantine abolished the truth that there is ONLY ONE GOD and no others.

From Constantine’s doctrine, the church has wrested, or perverted and poisoned The Holy Scriptures, 2 Peter 3.16-17.  And the church has not changed in 1700 years.  How can the church witness correctly about The GOD of Israel, Yeshua The Messiah Whom they call Jesus Christ?  They can not.

Christianity has no Hebrew roots.

Let’s look at the given Hebrew names of Messiah’s twelve apostles. LUKE 6.13-16

Simon is Shimone whom Messiah called Kefa.

Andrew is Ahndry.

James is Ya’akov, Jacob.

John is Yokhanan.

Philip is Pee’lee’pos.

Barthalomew is Bar-talmy.

Matthew is Mah’teet’yahu.

Thomas is Toemah.

James the son of Alphaeus is Ya’akov, Jacob Ben Halfai.

Simon called Zealotes is Shimone Asher Kahra Lo Ha kahnahee.

Judas the brother of James is Y’hudah Ben Ya’akov.

And Judas Iscariot who betrayed Messiah leading to our atonement is Y’hudah eesh k’rote.

These Jewish witnesses of Messiah Yeshua, The GOD OF ISRAEl, never heard of today’s church doctrine of the trinity of three different gods.  Nor did they ever hear about The Law of Moses being abolished.  Or that the church has replaced Israel and the Jewish People.  Or that the church is spiritual Israel.  All foolishness.  All wrong.  All delusional.  All teaching how to be a false witness for THE GOD OF ISRAEL, YESHUA THE MESSIAH.

But Messiah’s Jewish apostles witnessed The Truth of The GOD OF ISRAEL, THE JEWISH MESSIAH YESHUA.

Biblical doctrine teaches that you should be built upon their foundation.  EPHESIANS 2.19-20

A true witness testifies that Yeshua The Messiah is both THE GOD OF ISRAEL,  AND THE MESSIAH.  And we have Atonement for our sins through His sacrificial death.  And having your sins forgiven, you must now live your life by GOD’S Laws, The Law of Moses.  MARK 12.29, DEUTERONOMY 6.4

Hear O Israel, The LORD our GOD is one LORD, in Hebrew is Shema Y’Israel Adonay Elohaynu Adonay Ekhud.

Meaning, Hear O Israel.  Hear GOD, listen to Him, and obey His every Word. Obey His Law of Moses.  THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD.

And finally, Messiah tells of the strait and narrow gate that leads to Heaven because so Few desire to live by The Truth.  LUKE 13.22-29

(LUKE 13.24)  Strive means to struggle, and contend with an adversary, and fight for it.  For many, Yeshua said, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Why?  Because they rejected GOD’S Truth. They rejected His Word and His Law.

(LUKE 13.25)  When Messiah returns to Israel to establish His 1,000 year Kingdom, those who rejected The Word of GOD, His Law of Moses, will be locked out.  Messiah will say to them, I don’t know where you come from.  You don’t come from Me.

(LUKE 13.26-27)  Many will say to Him, I went to church every Sunday, or I went to certain Messianic Congregations on Saturday, and the teachers deceived me about The Law, Genesis 3.12-13.  But Messiah will say to them, I tell you, I don’t know where you come from.  Depart from Me all you workers of iniquity.  1 John 3.4.

(LUKE 13.28)  Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are Jewish.  They never converted to Christianity, and they lived by GOD’S Laws.  Genesis 26.5.  The prophets are all Jewish.  They were never Christian nor did they ever convert to Christianity.  And they all lived by The Law of Moses.  And knowing and believing there is ONLY ONE GOD.

And many prophesied the coming of The Messiah, The GOD OF ISRAEl.

People who believe in Messiah Yeshua and are like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the Prophets, who obey The Law of Moses, believing there is ONLY ONE GOD, and we know Him as Messiah Yeshua.  They will enter The Kingdom of GOD.

Yeshua said Salvation is of The Jews.  He did not say Salvation is from Christianity.  John 4.22

Salvation comes by joining in with the Jewish People.  Not necessarily converting to Judaism, but by living according to every Word of GOD that Moses and the Prophets gave to The Jewish People to do and obey.  And believing in The Jewish Messiah Yeshua for Atonement.  ISAIAH 53.10, ISAIAH 9.6, HEBREW SCRIPTURES, ISAIAH 9.5,  DEUTERONOMY 7.6. ISAIAH 43.10-12

The true witness for The GOD OF ISRAEL, WHO IS THE MESSIAH YEAHUA, testifies belief in Messiah Yeshua for Atonement.  That Yeshua The Messiah is The GOD OF ISRAEL.  And He is The Promised Messiah.  And GOD requires you to learn The Law of Moses, and do it.  That is the path to Eternal Life in Heaven.

That is being a true witness for The GOD OF ISRAEL, THE MESSIAH YESHUA.

Shalom.  Leviticus Chapter 15 is about laws of uncleanness.  That is to say impurity from bodily discharges.  And Leviticus Chapter 15 is also about genital organs, semen, menstrual fluid, and discharges of sexual diseases.  So rather than teach this Chapter, I believe it is more appropriate for you, and for the Husband and Wife to read Leviticus Chapter 15 together and study it and do what The LORD requires of you.

The Chapter starts by saying, “The LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, speak to the Children of Israel, and say to them, when a man has a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean.”

All the instructions of Leviticus Chapter 15 are as all the Laws written in The Law of Moses.  They are GOD’S Laws to you and to me and to all mankind.

Perhaps at some later time, if you feel that we should have a question and answer session on this Chapter, it can be arranged.

Thus our teaching this morning will be from Leviticus Chapter 16.  And The Title of our Message is “YESHUA THE MESSIAH IS THE PERFECT FULFILLMENT OF YOM KIPPUR, THE DAY OF ATONEMENT”.

And with that said, let’s read Leviticus 16.1-10, 29-31.

What do I mean that Yeshua The Messiah is the perfect fulfillment of Yom Kippur, The Day of Atonement?  I mean that Yeshua The Messiah carries out to perfection all GOD’S requirements for our Atonement in The Day of Atonement.

The Day of Atonement is a commanded Festival of The LORD along with all GOD’S Festivals written in Leviticus Chapter 23.

LEVITICUS 16.1-2,  The One Who appeared in the cloud, in the Holy Of Holies, upon the Mercy Seat, the Cover of the Ark Of The Covenant inside the Tabernacle was The LORD.  And seeing that there is only ONE GOD, The LORD Who appeared in the cloud upon the Mercy Seat Who gave all His Laws to Moses to record in The Law of Moses was The Messiah Yeshua, GOD ALMIGHTY.

LEVITICUS 16.3  On The Day of Atonement, the High Priest Aaron and all the High Priests that followed him came into the Sanctuary with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

A sin offering was for atonement.  A burnt offering was for a sweet savor to The LORD.

As we all know, there is no Temple in Jerusalem today.  And according to GOD’S Law written in The Law of Moses, no animal sacrifice is allowed without the Temple standing in Jerusalem.  Thus, there is no animal sacrifice today for atonement.  LEVITICUS 17.8-9

Yeshua The Messiah was ordained by GOD to gave His Life to be the perfect Sacrifice for the  Atonement of His Jewish People.  He, Messiah Yeshua, is our Atonement on The Day of Atonement.  JEREMIAH 31.31-34

The sacrifice of a burnt offering was for a sweet aroma to The LORD.  But when Messiah Yeshua gave His Life to be our Atonement, it pleased The LORD to make Him our Sin Offering.  And the Prophet writes, The pleasure of The LORD prospered in His Hand.  That is to say, Messiah Yeshua successfully carried out GOD’S Plan for Atonement for you and me, and for all mankind.  ISAIAH 53.10

LEVITICUS 16.4  The High Priest washed in fresh water before putting his Holy garments on.  Judaism calls this washing Mikveh Immersion.  A Mikveh Immersion is a collection of water for the purpose of immersion in the water for the individual to express his or her cleanliness from sins before The LORD.

When we are immersed in water, or baptized in The Name of The Jewish Messiah Yeshua, we express publically that GOD has cleansed us from our sins, and has forgiven all our sins because of our belief in Messiah Yeshua.

Baptism is Jewish.  ACTS 2.37-38

Repentance is key.  Repentance is rarely explained correctly anywhere.  REPENTANCE, ACCORDING TO THE SPOKEN WORD OF GOD IN THE BIBLE, IS REQUIRED.  Repentance is turning from all your sins of breaking GOD’S Laws that are written in The Law of Moses, and turning to GOD and keeping all His Laws that are written in The Law of Moses.  And then GOD will give you the gift of The Holy Spirit.   EZEKIEL 36.25-28,  EZEKIEL 18.20-24,  ACTS 5.32, 1 JOHN 3.4

LEVITICUS 16.5-10  This was all part of the ceremony for The Day of Atonement in the days of the Tabernacle and the Temple.  The High Priest was commanded by The LORD GOD to take two male goats from the Congregation of the Children of Israel, and present them before The LORD at the door of the Tabernacle, or later the Temple.

And the High Priest cast lots upon the two goats.  The lots were perhaps little stones or pebbles.  One lot was for The LORD.  The other lot for the scapegoat.

A scapegoat is a victim, made to bear the blame of others.  And even to suffer in their place.

And the High Priest brought the goat upon which The LORD’S lot fell, and offered it to The LORD for a sacrifice for a sin offering.  A sacrifice for atonement.

But the scapegoat was presented alive before The LORD to make an atonement with it.  And the goat was let go into the wilderness for a scapegoat.

What happened to the scapegoat is told in Verses 20-22.  Let’s read them.

When Aaron, or the High Priests that followed made an end of reconciling, that is cleansing the Holy Of Holies, and the Tabernacle or Temple, and the Altar by the sprinkling of the blood of the sacrificed goat offered to The LORD for the sins of the people, the High Priest laid both hands upon the head of the live goat and confessed over it all the iniquities of the Children of Israel, the Jewish people, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat.  And the High Priest sent the scapegoat away into the wilderness by a fit man.  A fit man, no doubt, was a man who believed in The LORD, and obeyed His Commandments and Laws.

And the scapegoat carried all the iniquities of the Children of Israel to a land not inhabited.  And he let the goat go in the wilderness.

Yeshua The Messiah is also the perfect fulfillment of the scapegoat.

Messiah was ordained by GOD to be the innocent victim for our sins.  He bears the blame for our sins.  And He suffered in our place for our sins.  All predicted in prophesy, and carried out through Messiah’s death, and explained in the New Testament.  ISAIAH 53.6, 12

The scapegoat was let go in the wilderness by the hand of a fit man.

After Messiah’s death, Joseph of Arimathaea, a fit Jewish man, a disciple of Messiah Yeshua, who obeyed The Torah, The Law of Moses, as did the Apostles, and the Prophets, and Yeshua The Messiah Himself, Joseph took the body of Yeshua, along with Nicodemus, and laid Him in a tomb.

Very shortly after Messiah’s death, by The Spirit of GOD, Messiah was made alive again.  And The Bible says, “Messiah went and preached to the spirits in prison.”  This word “preached” means to teach the Divine Truth.  I take that to mean that Messiah Yeshua went and taught the Divine Truth to the human spirits in hell.

The Divine Truth is that Yeshua The Messiah is GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM.  He is our Atonement.  And He preached the absolute necessity to live by Torah, The Law of Moses that prevents people from ending up in hell.  That is the Divine Truth of The Bible.  JOHN 19.38-42, 1 PETER 3.18-20, EPHESIANS 2.19-20

(1 Peter 3.20)  Which “sometime” were disobedient, means, those spirits in hell were ALWAYS disobedient to GOD.  They didn’t obey GOD’S Laws in the days of Noah, and the others didn’t obey GOD’S Law of Moses.

LEVITICUS 16.29-31  The seventh Hebrew month Tishrei, on the tenth day is The Day of Atonement.

This is a Law forever, The LORD says.  You shall afflict your souls on The Day of Atonement.  I believe that the word “afflict” in this passage, and in all passages pertaining to The Day of Atonement means to be humble.  The Hebrew word for “afflict” your souls is AH’NAH meaning to be humble, to be obedient to GOD in every Word He speaks.  The word afflict in this passage does not mean fast.  If someone is pleased to fast, that’s fine.  But foremost, we are required to obey GOD, His every Instruction, Rule, and Law.  You shall afflict your souls on The Day of Atonement, and do no work at all whether you are Jewish or not.  That is GOD’S Law to you forever.

And continuing, The LORD says, For on that day, the Priest shall make an atonement for you.  That was then during Tabernacle and Temple times.  Today our Atonement, And Our Priest is The Jewish Messiah Yeshua.  PSALM 110.1,4 GENESIS 14.18-20, ZECHARIAH 6.12-13, HEBREWS 7.1-3

It is by GOD’S Commandment and Law that Messiah Yeshua has replaced the animal sacrifice for Jewish atonement, and the atonement for all people from the time the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70 C.E.  LEVITICUS 17.8-9, ISAIAH 52. 13-15, ISAIAH 53.1-12, PSALM 22, THE NEW TESTAMENT

And continuing on The Day of Atonement.  The Priest shall make an atonement for you, to cleanse you of your sins that you may be clean from all your sins before The LORD.   Yeshua The Messiah, GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM, by His Atonement in the flesh as a human being, through His death, cleanses you, and me, and all mankind from all our sins before The LORD, provided you follow and obey all GOD’S Laws and Instructions as written in The Law of Moses.

And The Day of Atonement is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall humble yourself before The LORD by obeying every Word of GOD.  It is a Law forever.

Some in Judaism believe that they automatically receive atonement on The Day of Atonement.  That is not true.  GOD reminds us on The Day of Atonement that He requires us to have atonement.  That atonement is accomplished only by belief in The Messiah Yeshua.  Messiah Yeshua is The New Covenant that is spelled out in The New Testament that was given to the House of Israel, and the House of Judah written in JEREMIAH 31.31-34, and also in HEBREWS 8.8-12 and HEBREWS 10.16-17.

(HEBREWS 8.13)  THE FIRST COVENANT OF ANIMAL SACRIFICE FOR ATONEMENT IS OLD, decays, and is ready to vanish away and has vanished away.  It is replaced with Messiah Yeshua, The New Covenant for Atonement, for the forgiveness of sins, PERIOD.

And GOD will give eternal life to many Jewish People who don’t believe in their Messiah Yeshua when He returns from Heaven to Israel.  When THE LORD GOD brings those Jewish People into their Land, The Land Of Israel for the 1,000 year Millennial Kingdom, they will look upon Their Messiah Yeshua Whom we Jewish People had pierced by the Romans, and unknowingly killed for The Atonement of His Chosen People, and all those Non Jewish People who join in with us.  And they will mourn for Him as one mourns for their only son.  And Messiah will give them Atonement for their sins.  And He will pour upon them His Holy Spirit, The Gift of Eternal Life.  EZEKIEL 37.12-14,  ZECHARIAH 12.10, ZECHARIAH 13.1

The animal sacrifice will be reinstated in The Millennium because Messiah will build The Temple in Jerusalem.

But there will be no animal sacrifice in Heaven because there will be no Temple in Heaven.  The ONE GOD, The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, and The LAMB are The Temple of Heaven.  REVELATION 21.22

So in conclusion,  The Messiah Yeshua is the perfect fulfillment of Yom Kippur, The Day of Atonement because The  Messiah Yeshua is our Atonement for the Day Of Atonement.

Messiah is also the scapegoat for our Atonement Who was the innocent victim ordained by GOD to bear the blame for us, and to suffer in our place for our sins.

And Messiah Yeshua is also our Priest Who made Atonement for you, and me, and for all mankind as long as you follow GOD’S Laws, Instructions and Rules that are written in The Law of Moses.

Shalom.  Our teaching this morning will be about the first Passover that GOD held in Egypt for the Children of Israel some 3,400 years ago when they were slaves in Egypt.

After 400 years of hard Egyptian bondage, the Mighty GOD of Jacob anointed Moses to lead the Children of Israel out of Egypt where they became a great nation of some three million people.

By the workings of GOD, for His Purpose, it began when Jacob’s son Joseph was sold into Egypt as a slave.  The result of his brothers jealousy.  Years later, by The Hand of GOD, Pharaoh miraculously appointed Joseph Governor and Ruler of Egypt under Pharaoh.  And because of a famine in Canaan and all the earth, the sixty six persons belonging to Jacob joined Joseph, his wife and two sons in Egypt.  The entire Jewish population was seventy people.  The beginning of a great nation.  GENESIS 12.2,  GENESIS 46.2-3

The Children of Israel are the Jewish People.  The word Jew in Hebrew is YEH’HOO’DEE meaning Praiser of GOD.

The title of our message this morning is, THE FIRST PASSOVER IS PROPHETIC OF OUR ATONEMENT IN THE JEWISH MESSIAH YESHUA.

And with that said, let’s read Exodus 12.1-13.

EXODUS 12.1-2  The first Hebrew month according to GOD’S commandment is the month Nisan.  Today is the 15th day of Nisan, the first day of Passover.

The period of time in this Chapter is the day before the Exodus out of Egypt, and the following day of the Exodus.

The GOD of Israel, by His Mighty Hand, took the entire House of Israel out of Egypt and led them to the land of Canaan after a forty year journey through the wilderness that was wild, uncultivated, and desert.  And GOD fed the People three meals a day, every day, and their animals.  And GOD protected them from evil.

And GOD renamed Canaan, Israel after Jacob whom GOD said to Jacob after he wrestled with him all night, your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel, for as a prince you have power with GOD and with men, and have prevailed.

That is the meaning of Israel in Hebrew, For as a prince you have power with GOD and with men and have prevailed.

Israel’s enemies should take notice.

GENESIS 32.22-30 (HEBREW BIBLE GENESIS 32.23-31)

GOD has given the Land of Israel to the Jewish people for an everlasting possession to be the eternal homeland for all Jewish People.  GENESIS 17.7-8

EXODUS 12.3  What happened on the tenth day of this month in the days of Messiah Yeshua, five days before the first day of Passover is of key importance.

This is what happened.  Messiah Yeshua rode into Jerusalem on a donkey and the Jewish People cried out to Him, Blessed is The King of Israel that comes in The Name of The LORD.  JOHN 12.1, 12-15

On the next day, the next day was the tenth day of Nisan five days before the evening of Passover.  Many Jewish People in Israel knew that The Messiah Yeshua was The King of Israel.  And they cried out to The Messiah, HO’SHEEAH’NA.  You might know that as Hosanna, meaning, Please Deliver Now.  And they followed those words with, Blessed is The King of Israel that comes in The Name of The LORD.

Messiah Yeshua came in The Name of The LORD with GOD’S Power, His Authority, and Majesty, and Honor, and All that GOD is, because Yeshua The Messiah is The LORD.  He is GOD, GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM, THE GOD OF CREATION.

The People responded to the prophesy written by the Prophet Zechariah in ZECHARIAH 9.9.

Messiah Yeshua IS The King of Israel.  ISAIAH 33.22, ZECHARIAH 14.9

And The Messiah came to His Jewish People in Jerusalem riding upon a donkey.

Your King comes to you, the prophesy reads.  He is just, and having Salvation, lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt, a young donkey.

The Hebrew word for just is TSAH’DEEK meaning Righteous.

Messiah has Salvation.  Salvation in Hebrw is YAH’SHA meaning The Messiah has the power to deliver us from our sins.  Because He, and He alone is our Atonement.

Salvation also means being delivered from the penalty of sin.  Sin is breaking any Law that is written in The Law of Moses because they are GOD’s Laws.  The eternal penalty of sin, if not atoned for in Messiah Yeshua, is being blotted out of GOD’S Book of Life.  Being blotted out of eternal life in Heaven.

But in the Jewish Messiah Yeshua is Atonement.  And by repenting, and turning to GOD from our sins, and obeying all His Laws as are written in The Law of Moses, we have eternal life in Heaven.

EXODUS 32.33, 1 JOHN 3.4, EZEKIEL 18.21

EXODUS 12.3-6  Yeshua The Messiah is perfect, without blemish.  He was, and is without sin.  He is righteous by living His Life by every Law, Commandment, and Statute of GOD that is written in The Law of Moses.

Peter wrote his letters in The Bible some thirty years AFTER Messiah’s death, burial, and resurrection.  And he wrote that Messiah Yeshua is our example that we should follow His steps Who did no sin.

That is to say, Messiah did not break any Law in The Law of Moses.  He should be our example, and we should follow His steps.  1 PETER 2.21-22

Further evidence that all should obey The Law of Moses.

Back to EXODUS 12.6.  Let’s read it.

IN THE FOURTEENTH DAY OF THE HEBREW MONTH NISAN, (IN EGYPT), GOD COMMANDED THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY OF THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL TO KILL THE LAMB IN THE EVENING.

The evening of the fourteenth day of Nisan is the beginning of the first day of Passover.  Today is the first day of Passover.

YESHUA THE MESSIAH WAS KILLED ON THE FIRST DAY OF PASSOVER.

Yeshua The Messiah was killed for one purpose, and one purpose only, to be our Atonement.  Without His death, there is no Atonement.

And GOD, HA SHEM planned His own death as a human being in The Messiah Yeshua to be our Atonement even before He created the world.

And He carried out His death exactly as He planned it and prophesied it.  HEBREWS 4.3, ISAIAH 52.13-15, ISAIAH 53, PSALM 22

EXODUS 12.6-13  The Passover Lamb was killed in Egypt in the evening of the fourteenth day of Nisan, the beginning of the first day of Passover.  The lamb’s blood that was placed on the door posts of each Jewish home was a miracle that when GOD saw the blood, He passed over them, and the plague was not upon them that killed the firstborn Egyptians.

The blood saved Israel, and GOD delivered the Jewish People from death.

MESSIAH YESHUA WAS KILLED ON THE FIRST DAY OF PASSOVER, AND HIS BLOOD POURED OUT FROM HIM.  MESSIAH’S DEATH AND SHED BLOOD MAKES ATONEMENT FOR OUR SOUL THAT DELIVERS US FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN AND DEATH.

MESSIAH YESHUA IS OUR ATONEMENT.  LEVITICUS 17.11

Here is the Biblical account leading up to Messiah’s atoning death.

As is customary in Judaism, Messiah Yeshua and His Disciples held their Passover Seder on the evening of Passover.

Let’s read about it in MATTHEW 26.17-30

Messiah predicted His death often.

Eating the matzah at the seder table,  Messiah said, “Take, eat, this is My Body”.  That was symbolic of eating Messiah’s body, our Sacrifice for Atonement, as the Children of Israel ate their Passover Lamb in Egypt.  EXODUS 12.5-8

The cup of wine or grape juice was symbolic of Messiah’s blood of the New Covenant which He said is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.

THAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF MESSIAH’S DEATH, THE FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS, TO BE OUR ATONEMENT.  JEREMIAH 31.31-34

Back to the account leading up to Messiah’s Atoning death.  After the seder, as the entire world knows, He and His Disciples went to the Mount of Olives where Messiah was betrayed.  Also part of GOD’S Plan for Atonement.

The Messiah, GOD Himself, was taken and led away by a great number of Jewish men with swords and clubs.

And as preordained by GOD, they took Him to the Sanhedrin, the Jewish Court in Israel that held supreme religious, political, judicial, and legislative authority having perhaps seventy one men.  And they had the authority to impose the death penalty.

Why were these men working on the Sabbath, the evening of Passover?  Also the Plan of GOD.

The High Priest Caiphas, apparently the head of the Sanhedrin at the time, asked Messiah Yeshua, Are You The Messiah, The Son of GOD?

The Jewish Court knew well according to Torah, The Law of Moses, and all The Holy Scriptures that The promised Jewish Messiah, The Son of GOD IS GOD.  HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY, HA SHEM, THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH.

The trinity of three different gods is not Biblical.  In the ears of a Jewish Person it is pagan.

Caiphas asked Yeshua, “Are You The Messiah, The Son of GOD?  And Yeshua said to him, “You have said.”  Meaning, yes, I AM.  And one day you will see The Son of Man sitting on the right Hand of power, or sitting on the right Hand of GOD, and coming in the clouds of Heaven.

And the High Priest Caiphas ripped his clothes, and said, He has spoken blasphemy.  What further need do we have of witnesses?  What do you think, he asked the court of Jewish men?

GOD’S COMMANDMENT TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL READS IN EXODUS 12.6,  “AND YOU SHALL KEEP THE LAMB UP UNTIL THE FOURTEENTH DAY OF THE SAME MONTH, AND THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY OF THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL SHALL KILL IT IN THE EVENING.”

What do you think, Caiphas asked the court of Jewish men?  He is guilty of death, they answered.

The rest is history.

THE FIRST PASSOVER IS PROPHETIC OF OUR ATONEMENT IN THE JEWISH MESSIAH YESHUA.
