Shalom.  Our teaching this morning will continue from Torah, The Law of Moses, from Numbers 14.20-38.  And we will complete the Chapter to Verse 45.

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, THE BLESSINGS FOR OBEDIENCE.  THE PUNISHMENT FOR DISOBEDIENCE.

The LORD had said to Moses, Send twelve men to search out the land of Canaan which I give to the Children of Israel. From every tribe, you shall send a man who is a ruler among them.

And returning after forty days of searching the land, ten of the twelve spies brought an evil report to the Children of Israel, telling them, we are not able to go up against those people because they are stronger than we are.

And they gave a list of all the obstacles why the Children of Israel could not go in and conquer and possess the land that The LORD their GOD promised to give them.

Thus showing no faith in The LORD Their GOD, and disobeying His Word.

And all the Congregation wept and complained against Moses and Aaron, saying, it would be better to die in the wilderness.

But Caleb and Joshua, two of the spies among the twelve, said to the People, If The LORD delights in us, He will bring us into the land which flows with milk and honey.  Only do not rebel against The LORD.  And do not fear the people of the land for they are bread for us because their defense has left them, and The LORD is with us.  Do not fear them.

But all the Congregation said, Stone them with stones.

And the glory of The LORD appeared in The Tabernacle of the Congregation before all The Children Of Israel.

And The LORD said to Moses, How long will this People provoke Me?  And how long will it be before they believe Me for all the miracles that I have shown them?

I will kill them with a pestilence, and disinherit them, and make of you a greater nation, and mightier than they.

And Moses pleaded with The LORD for the People, and GOD pardoned them.

Let’s read NUMBERS 14.20-38.

NUMBERS 14.20-23  So The LORD pardoned the Children of Israel.  But as truly as I live, The LORD said, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of The LORD.

But none of those men who have seen My Glory, and My Miracles which I did in Egypt, and in the wilderness, and have tested My patience these ten times, and have disobeyed Me, surely they will not see the Land which I swore to their fathers.  Neither will any of them who provoked Me, and despised Me see the land of Canaan that GOD renamed The Land of Israel when the Children of Israel conquered the land, and occupied it.

GOD will never bless for disobeying Him.

The ten spies incited The Congregation of the Children of Israel not to believe GOD.

They did not believe that the LORD THEIR GOD would give them the land of Canaan for their Homeland as The LORD promised them.

And when we do not believe GOD, we proceed to disobey GOD.

Here is a similarity.

GOD commands all mankind to obey Him.  He Commands all humanity to obey His Word that includes His Laws that are written in the Law of Moses in the first five Books of the Bible.

And GOD chose the Jewish People for that purpose.  He chose the Jewish People to reveal GOD’S Spoken Word in The Bible to the world.  And GOD’S Spoken Word includes His Laws, Teachings, Rules, and Instructions for all mankind. All written in His Law of Moses.  ISAIAH 43.10

But most Bible teachers reject The Law of Moses, and teach their listeners to reject GOD’S Law of Moses.  Because, the Bible teacher teaches, The Law was valid up until the cross. That too is a lie.

Like The Word of GOD, The Law of GOD that is The Law of Moses stands forever.

Therefore because so many do what their Bible teacher teaches them rather then doing what GOD ALMIGHTY commands them, they live a life of disobedience to GOD that brings punishment to billions.

Similarly, the ten spies told the Children of Israel they were not able to conquer the land that GOD promised them. Thus believing the spies and their evil report, rather then believing GOD ALMIGHTY they proceeded to disobey GOD, and they too were punished greatly.

Therefore, not believing GOD leads to disobedience to GOD which results in punishment.

And for the Children of Israel who listened to ten spies rather than GOD ALMIGHTY, they suffered greatly.

Those twenty years old and over did not enter the promised land. They died in the wilderness.

And THE LORD THEIR GOD caused those younger then twenty years old to wander in the wilderness for forty years before they entered the Land.

Those who follow Bible teachers rather than ALMIGHTY GOD and reject GOD’S Laws, Teachings, and Instructions that are written in The Law of Moses will not see the Kingdom of Heaven.  Unless they change and repent.  SEE EZEKIEL 18.21

GOD blesses those who obey Him.  And He punishes those who disobey Him.

When reading The Bible, it is essential to learn the Truth. And it is GOD ALMIGHTY, YESHUA THE MESSIAH Who speaks and teaches the Truth.  MATTHEW 7.21-23, LUKE 8.21, ACTS 5.32, MARK 12.29, ETC.

NUMBERS 14.24  GOD blessed Caleb for obeying Him because Caleb had another Spirit, the Holy Spirit which GOD gives to all who obey Him.  ACTS 5.32.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that causes you to follow the Truth.  The Truth is GOD.  Every Word that GOD speaks in the Bible is Truth.

And Yeshua The Messiah is GOD.  He is GOD ALMIGHTY.   And by following The Truth you obey every Word GOD Speaks that includes His Law of Moses.  And that brings blessings.

Remember, The Law of Moses is the Spoken Word Of GOD.

The Bible says, Caleb followed GOD fully.  Verse 24.  Since it is impossible to physically follow GOD Who is invisible, we follow GOD by being obedient to His righteousness by obeying His Law of Moses.  ISAIAH 45.19, JOHN 15.26, JOHN 16.13

(Isaiah 45.19)  Righteousness in Hebrew is STEH’DEHK meaning law-abiding according to The Law of Moses.  We are called to follow GOD’S Righteousness by obeying His Law of Moses and all that GOD Speaks in the Bible.

By obeying GOD, and believing Him, The LORD brought Caleb and all his family into the Promised Land.  That formula is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

NUMBERS 14.25-27  This evil Congregation that GOD is speaking of is the Congregation of the Children of Israel. GOD called them evil because of their unfaithfulness in The LORD THEIR GOD, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL.  And having no faith in GOD caused them to disobey GOD.

Increased faith comes from obeying GOD, doing what GOD says.  That is our duty.  Read Messiah’s Words in LUKE 17.5-10.

Returning to the Congregation of the Children of Israel that GOD called this evil Congregation, GOD shows His mercy and His grace to His Jewish People forever.  Because the Jewish People remain GOD’S Chosen People forever.

GOD’S mercy because GOD loves His Jewish People with an everlasting love.

And GOD’s grace because there is no indication that the Jewish People merit GOD’S grace to be His Chosen People. We are chosen by the grace of GOD.

And GOD’S Promises, His Covenants, and His Word stand forever.  Therefore the Jewish People remain GOD’S Chosen People forever.

GOD has made a way for Gentiles, non-Jewish People, to fully join in with the Jewish People to be His Chosen People as well.

If the non-Jewish Person will receive, and understand, the Words of Messiah Yeshua, “For Salvation is of the Jews.” and follow all that GOD commands His Jewish People in The Old and New Testaments, having Atonement in The Jewish Messiah Yeshua.  And then turning to GOD and obeying all His Laws that are written in The Law of Moses.  Thereby you stop sinning against GOD, because sin is breaking The Law of Moses.  1 John 3.4.  And believing in ONE GOD, not the three different gods of the trinity.  That Yeshua The Messiah is The ONE GOD.  He is The Father, The Son, The Messiah, The Spirit, The Holy Spirit, and much more, you have Salvation.  For Salvation is of the Jews.  JOHN 4.22, DEUTERONOMY 7.6-10, JEREMIAH 31.3, ISAIAH 40.8, 1 PETER 1.25, ISAIAH 9.5, CHRISTIAN BIBLE ISAIAH 9.6, JOHN 12.45, JOHN 14.9. DEUTERONOMY 6.4, MARK 12.29

Non-Jewish People can also be blessed, and inherit eternal life by blessing the Jewish People and Israel.  GENESIS 12.3, MATTHEW 25.31.46

NUMBERS 14.28-33  Here is the punishment for the Children of Israel who did not believe GOD, thereby disobeying GOD, and rejecting GOD’S Spoken Word.  The carcasses of those twenty years old and older fell dead in the wilderness.

But following GOD, as Caleb and Joshua did, believing The LORD and every Word He Spoke, brought them blessings and eternal life.

Caleb, Joshua and their families entered the Promised Land, and no doubt are in Heaven today.

Again, when you read The Bible, and what you read in the translation, or what you hear from a Bible teacher does not agree with The Law of Moses that is written in the first five Books of The Bible, that translation or teaching is wrong, period.

Yes, all Scripture is given by the inspiration of GOD.  That is , by The Holy Spirit.

The men who wrote The Bible wrote it perfectly, and recorded GOD’S Word without error.

However, not all Scripture is translated by the translators correctly.  Either by mistake or intentionally.

So just be careful, and be sure that all Scripture lines up with Torah, GOD’S Law of Moses or else it is wrong.  2 TIMOTHY 3.16

NUMBERS 14.33-45  So for lack of faith in The LORD their GOD, and their disobedience to Him, their carcasses fell dead in the wilderness while their children under twenty years old roamed the wilderness for forty years.  A year for each day the spies searched out the land.

The Children of Israel could have entered the Promised Land in the second year after their freedom from Egypt had they believed GOD and obeyed Him.

So the Children of Israel found out GOD’S breach of promise in Verse 34.  GOD’S breach of promise is punishment for violating GOD’S Trust, His Laws, and His Promises.

And the ten men who returned with an evil report about the land and incited the People against GOD, died of the plague before The LORD.

But Joshua and Caleb lived.

The blessing for obeying GOD. The punishment for disobeying GOD.

But the People knowing their sin, not heeding Moses’ command, set out to fight the Canaanites.  But Moses told them that GOD was not with them.  And they were killed by the Amalekites and the Canaanites.

I think of Paul’s excellent teaching in EPHESIANS 6.13-18.

Paul describes the whole armor of GOD to withstand the evil.  And here’s how to do it.

Stand with your spiritual strength that comes from living your life in Truth.  Truth is The Word of GOD that is spoken in The Bible.

And It is critical to know and understand that The Word of GOD includes His Law of Moses.

And by living your life according to GOD’S Word, His Laws, Instructions, and Teachings, you will withstand the evil. Because GOD will be your Protector.

Having the breastplate of righteousness is living by every Word of GOD written in The Law of Moses.  That is righteousness.

Having your feet shod or bound with the preparation of the Gospel of peace is this.  Yeshua The Messiah is your Atonement.  Turn to GOD quickly and obey His Law of Moses.  And know and believe that there is only ONE GOD, Yeshua The Messiah.  And you will have peace with GOD and eternal life.

Taking on the shield of faith is believing every Word GOD Speaks, and obeying every Word GOD Speaks.  And GOD will give you faith for your faith in Him.  And you will quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take on the helmet of Salvation.  Salvation is Yeshua The Messiah Who delivers you from your sins, and by His Salvation gives you eternal life.

And you have the sword of The Spirit, Who is GOD ALMIGHTY by believing Him, and obeying Him.

And praying always.  Being humble, and serious, even begging GOD in The Spirit.

Being in The Spirit means that you are like Caleb.  You follow GOD Fully.

And praying always for those who are like-minded in the faith, called in Hebrew K’doshim, Holy Ones.

If you follow those words of Paul, your life will be filled with The Spiritual Strength of GOD.  You will be blessed.  You will be strong in The LORD and in the power of His might.  You will put on the whole armor of GOD.  And you will stand against the evil, you and your family, always.

Shalom.  Our teaching this morning from Torah, The Law of Moses will continue from Numbers 14.1-11.  And we will complete the first twenty-one verses.

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, TWELVE SPIES SEARCH OUT THE LAND OF CANAAN, AND THE NATIONAL HYSTERIA THAT FOLLOWED.

And with that said, let’s read Numbers 14.1-11.

In the second year after the Exodus from 400 years of Egyptian slavery, ten spies from the twelve tribes of Israel who searched out the land of Canaan, incited all the Congregation of the Children of Israel into rebellion by provoking The LORD THEIR GOD to anger because they did not believe GOD that He would give them the land of Canaan.  And they rebelled against The LORD.

The ten spies told the Congregation of the Children of Israel that surely the land flows with milk and honey, but the people are strong that live in the land.  And their cities are walled and great.  And the children of Anak are there.  And the Amelekites live in the land of the south.  And the Hittites and the Jebusites, and the Amorites live in the mountains. And the Canaanites live by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.

And Caleb quieted the People before Moses, and he said, “Let us go up at once and possess it for we are able to overcome it.”  But the men that went up with him said, “We are not able to go up against this people because they are stronger than us.”

And the ten spies brought an evil report of the land they had searched to the Children of Israel.  They said, the land we searched out devours its own people.  And all the people we saw in it are men of great stature.  And we saw giants there. The sons of Anak which come of the giants.  And we were in our own sight as grasshoppers.  And so we were in their sight.

And all the Congregation lifted up their voice and cried. And the people wept that night.  And all the Children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron.  And all the Congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt.  Or if only we had died in the wilderness.  And why has The LORD brought us into this land to fall by the sword that our wives and children will be taken captive?  Is it not better for us to return to Egypt?”  So they said to one another, “Let us appoint a leader and return to Egypt.”

And Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before the entire Congregation of the Children of Israel.

And Joshua and Caleb of the twelve spies who searched out the land tore their clothes.  And they spoke to all the Congregation, and they said, “The land that we searched is a very good land.  If The LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into the land and give it to us.  A land that flows with milk and honey.  But do not rebel against The LORD.

You should not fear the people of the land because they are bread for us.  Their defense has left them.  And The LORD is with us.  Do not fear them.”

But the entire Congregation said, stone them with stones.

AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD APPEARED IN THE TABERNACLE OF THE CONGREGATION BEFORE ALL THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.

And I thought on the words of David.  “What is man that you are mindful of him?  And the son of man that you visit him.” Psalm 8.4

Let’s turn to NUMBERS 14.10-11.

And the LORD said to Moses, “How long will this People provoke Me?  And how long will it be before they believe Me despite all the miracles that I have shown them?”

While the Children of Israel were in a land that was not theirs, the land of Egypt, for 430 years, the last 400 years in Egyptian slavery, GOD fulfilled His promise to Abraham that He would make of him a great nation.  And from seventy Jewish People, Israel grew to some three million even while they were in bondage in Egypt.  GENESIS 12.2

And when the time came for The LORD to deliver this great nation Israel to their own homeland, the land of Canaan that is now Israel, GOD performed great miracles in the sight of the Children of Israel to cause Pharaoh King of Egypt to let His People Go.  Miracles the whole world knows about today.

GOD turned the waters in the rivers, and ponds, and streams throughout Egypt to blood.  And the fish in the rivers stunk.  And the Egyptians hated drinking the water from the rivers.

And then The LORD struck the entire land of Egypt with frogs.  Frogs went into all the Egyptian homes, into their bedrooms, and in their beds.  And into the houses of their servants.  But the Pharaoh refused to let the People Go.

And GOD struck the dust throughout the land of Egypt that became lice.  Lice are wingless insects with biting mouths that are parasites.  And they were in the Egyptians, and all their animals.

And GOD sent swarms of flies upon the Egyptians and in their houses.  And they were filled with swarms of flies.

But no flies were in Goshen where the Jewish People lived.

And GOD put a division between the Jewish People and the Egyptians.

And GOD sent a deadly disease on all the Egyptian cattle, and horses, and donkeys, and camels, and oxen, and sheep.

But He did not touch the animals of the Children of Israel.

And all those animals of the Egyptians died.

But not one animal of the Jewish People died.  But still the Pharaoh would not let GOD’S People Go.

And GOD sent from the dust, boils and erupting sores upon all the Egyptians and their animals.  But still Pharaoh refused to let the People Of GOD Go.

And GOD brought rain and a very heavy hail throughout the land of Egypt that was never seen, even from the founding of Egypt.  And The LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran along upon the ground throughout Egypt.  And the hail was mingled with fire and killed all the Egyptians and their animals that were in the fields.  And all the grass in the fields was destroyed.  And every tree broke.

Only the land of Goshen where the Children of Israel were, there was no hail.  But Pharaoh still would not let the Children of Israel Go.

And the Children of Israel saw, and witnessed all these great miracles of GOD.  For Them.  For Their freedom.

And The LORD brought locusts that are grasshoppers that covered the entire land of Egypt that the earth could not be seen.  And they filled all the houses of the Egyptians.

But The LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh making him obstinate and stubborn so he would not let the People go.

Because GOD raised up Pharaoh to show in him the mighty power of GOD that GOD’S Name may be declared throughout the earth.

And GOD brought darkness over all the land of Egypt. Darkness so thick it could be felt.  And the darkness was in the land of Egypt for three days.  And for three days, the Egyptians could not see one another.

But the Children of Israel had light in their homes.

Yet The LORD continued to harden Pharaoh’s heart that he would not let the People Go.

And then GOD brought the final plague upon Egypt that forced Pharaoh to let the Children of Israel Go.

Every firstborn Egyptian died.  From the firstborn of Pharaoh to the firstborn of the Egyptian servants.  And the firstborn of their animals all died.  And there was such a great outcry throughout Egypt such as there never was or ever will be again.

But there was peace and quiet for the Jewish People.

At midnight, the evening that GOD established the first Passover, GOD struck and killed all the Egyptian firstborn.

And Pharaoh called for Moses, and said, “Go from among my people.  You and all the Children of Israel.  And go serve The LORD as you have said.  Also your flocks and herds, and be gone.”  And Pharaoh said to Moses, “Bless me also.”

And the Children of Israel, some three million strong, left Egypt for the Promised Land, only to be confronted with the Red Sea in front of them.  And the Egyptian army charging after them in chariots with one purpose.  Kill the Jews.  But all the world knows of this miraculous event, especially the Children of Israel who saw and witnessed GOD open the Red Sea for them to cross on dry ground from Egypt to the Sinai.

And they saw and witnessed GOD dropping the ocean on the Egyptian army and their chariots of war, killing them all.

Not leaving so much as one Egyptian alive.

The Children of Israel saw it all.

But GOD’S miracles weren’t finished.  The LORD is a GOD of miracles.

GOD provided manna from Heaven, and quails for the People to eat.  He even brought forth water from a rock in the desert for all the People and their animals to drink.

GOD fed His People every day in a terrible wilderness for forty years.  Is that not a mighty miracle?

And GOD helped His People who had just come out of 400 years of Egyptian slavery to defeat the Amelekite army that attacked His People Israel.

And GOD gave His People The Ten Commandments, written by the Finger of GOD on two tables of stone.  And GOD gave Moses His Rules, Laws, Teachings, and Instructions called The Law of Moses for Israel and all mankind to live by.

But now in the Sinai, and the People hearing the evil report from ten men who spied out the land of Canaan that GOD gave to the Jewish People for their homeland, the People lost faith.  They did not believe GOD that He would bring them into the land after all the miracles they saw THE LORD THEIR GOD perform for their freedom.

And they provoked GOD to anger, great anger because of their unbelief.

Is it possible that GOD moved the ten spies to bring an evil report to test the faith of the Children of Israel?  I think so.

Search The Bible and see that GOD tested the great ones. Will they obey the Commandments of GOD or not?  See Job as a great example.

And GOD tests us through different tests to test our faith.

Will we obey GOD and His Law of Moses, or not? DEUTERONOMY 8.2-3

Unfortunately, whether GOD tested the Children of Israel or not, Israel failed the test when they rebelled against GOD after hearing the evil report.

Let’s read NUMBERS 14.11-20.

And the LORD said to Moses, “How long will this People provoke Me?  And how long will it be before they believe Me, for all the miracles which I have shown among them?

I will strike them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and make of you a greater Nation and mightier than they.

And Moses said to  the LORD, Then the Egyptians will hear it, for You brought up this People in your might from among them.  And they will tell it to the people of this land, for they have heard that You are among this People.  That You LORD are seen Face to face.  And that Your Cloud stands over Them.  And You go before Them by day time in a pillar of Cloud, and in a pillar of Fire by night.

Now if You will kill all this People as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of You will say, Because the LORD was not able to bring this People into the land which He swore to Them, therefore He has killed Them in the wilderness.

And now I beseech Thee, let the power of my LORD be great according as You have said, Saying, The LORD is long suffering, and of great mercy.  Forgiving the iniquity and transgression and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation.

Pardon them, I beseech Thee, the iniquity of this People according to the greatness of Your mercy.  And as You have forgiven this People from Egypt even until now.

And The LORD said, “I have forgiven according to your word.”

Not because of Moses’ wonderful prayer for the People, which it was.

But because GOD cannot break His Word, or change it, or end it.  GOD’S Word is His Promise.  And His Word stands forever.  ISAIAH 40.8

THE WORD OF OUR GOD SHALL STAND FOREVER.

IN HEBREW, THE WORDS,”STAND FOREVER” ARE YAH’KOOM  L’OLAM MEANING, THE WORD OF OUR GOD REMAINS FOREVER, AND IS ESTABLISHED FOREVER.

NO ONE, GOD OR MAN CAN CHANGE THE WORD OF GOD, OR END IT.

AND THAT INCLUDES THE LAW OF MOSES.  THE LAW OF MOSES IS THE WORD OF GOD. GENESIS 17.7-8, EXODUS 3.7-8, ISAIAH 46.9-11, JEREMIAH 31.1-3, PSALM 119.89, MATTHEW 24.35, 1 PETER 1.25

NUMBERS 14.21  And The LORD said to Moses, “As truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the Glory of The LORD.”

GOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN.

GOD HAS NO BEGINNING OR END.

Can you get your mind around that?

All the earth is filled with His Glory.

YESHUA THE MESSIAH IS GOD ALMIGHTY, THE FATHER, HA SHEM.  HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN.  HE HAS NO BEGINNING OR END.  HE IS THE ONE GOD.  DEUTERONOMY 6.4, MARK 12.29

And the prophet Micah explains just that.  MICAH 5.1, CHRISTIAN BIBLE MICAH 5.2

Yeshua The Messiah, GOD ALMIGHTY, Ha Shem was born in Bethlehem Ephratah which is Bethlehem.

THE MESSIAH COMES FROM BETHLEHEM, AND HIS NAME AND TITLE IS YESHUA THE MESSIAH.  GENESIS 48.7

Whose goings forth means Messiah Yeshua’s origin.  In Hebrew, “Whose goings forth” is OO’MO’STAH’OH’TAHYVE.

Messiah’s origin is “From Of Old.”  From of Old In Hebrew is ME’KEH’DEHM.  Meaning From Eternity.

HAVING NO BEGINNING OR END.

His Origin is From Everlasting in Hebrew is ME’MAY OLAM. Meaning, Forever, Eternity, Without Beginning Or End.

YESHUA THE MESSIAH IS GOD ALMIGHTY, THE FATHER, HA SHEM.  ISAIAH 9.5-6, CHRISTIAN BIBLE ISAIAH 9.6-7, JOHN 12.45, JOHN 14.9

As a human being, Messiah was born in Bethlehem.

He will be Ruler in Israel.

Whose glory fills all the earth.

Who freed His Jewish People from Egyptian slavery, and brought them into the land of Canaan, to give Them the Land for an everlasting possession.  The Homeland of the Jewish People now called Eretz Y’Israel, The land of Israel.

SO YES, MESSIAH YESHUA IS GOD ALMIGHTY WHO WILL BE RULER AND KING IN ISRAEL WHEN HE RETURNS TO ESTABLISH HIS KINGDOM ON EARTH.

Shalom.  Our teaching continues from Torah, The Law of Moses from Numbers 13.1-3. And we will complete the Chapter.

The title of our message is, “CAN YOU BY SEARCHING FIND OUT GOD?  CAN YOU FIND OUT THE ALMIGHTY UNTO PERFECTION?”

And with that said, let’s read Numbers 13.1-3.

The LORD spoke to Moses saying, “Send men to search out the land of Canaan which I have given to the Children of Israel.  Of every tribe shall you send a man who is a ruler among them.”

And Moses by the Commandment of The LORD sent the twelve men who were rulers among their tribes into the land of Canaan to spy and search out the land.

And it was the second year from the time the Children of Israel were delivered from Egyptian bondage by the mighty Hand of The LORD THEIR GOD.  NUMBERS 10.11-12

721 years earlier, the LORD had promised Abraham that He would make him, Abraham, and the Jewish People a great Nation.

And GOD made the Jewish People a great nation in Egypt where they were strangers under the bondage of Egyptian slavery for 400 years.

And now the Children of Israel, a great nation of some three million People, were preparing to enter the land of Canaan to occupy it and possess it for an everlasting possession that THE GOD OF ISRAEL has given to His Jewish People for their Homeland.  GENESIS 12.1-2, GENESIS 17.8

The land of Canaan became the Land of Israel some 3,300 years ago as GOD promised.  And Israel has always remained the Land of Israel, and will always be the Land of Israel.

And Moses, by the Commandment of The LORD, sent the twelve men from the wilderness of Paran into the land of Canaan.

The wilderness of Paran was a large desert region that was part of the Sinai Peninsula that lies adjacent to today’s southern Israel called the Negev.

Others say that the Sinai Peninsula was the wilderness of Paran, and extended into southern Canaan today’s southern Israel.

Some 700 years earlier, Ishmael lived in the wilderness of Paran after Abraham sent him and his mother out because Sarah, Abraham’s wife, said, “Cast out this bondwoman and her son, for the son of this bondwoman will not be heir with my son Isaac.  GENESIS 21.9-21

(GENESIS 21.12)  The Jewish People descend from Abraham and Isaac.

NUMBERS 13.17  So everybody knows the story of the twelve men that Moses sent to search out the land of Canaan.

Moses said to the twelve men that included Caleb from the tribe of Judah, and Hoshea from the tribe of Ephraim whose name Moses changed to Joshua meaning Yehovah saves, and Yehovah Delivers, “Go up this way southward and go up into the mountain.  And see the land.  What it is.  And the people that dwell there.  Is it a good land or bad?  And what cities they live in.  Do they live in tents or fortifications?  And what is the land?  Is it fat or lean?  And are there woods in it or not?”  And Moses said, “Be of good courage and bring of the fruit of the land.  And the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.”

So they went up and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin which would be in the Sinai between the Dead Sea and the Galilee, to Hamath that is north of Damascus to the Euphrates River.  And they came to the brook Eshcol, a valley north of Hebron, south of Bethlehem, and south of Jerusalem.  And they cut down a branch with a cluster of grapes that two men carried on a staff.  And they brought pomegranates and figs.

And at the end of forty days, they returned from searching the land.

Let’s look into a brief history of the Canaanites and the land they occupied, the land of Canaan.

Canaan is the name of the youngest son of Ham.  Ham was the son of Noah, and Noah’s sons were Shem, Ham and Japheth.

And the Canaanites were the people who descended from Ham’s son Canaan.  And Canaan was the name of the land they occupied from a river in Egypt to the Euphrates River that originates in eastern Turkey, and flows through Syria and Iraq into the Persian Gulf.

In the second millennium, the Philistines whose ancestor is also Ham, a sea people from the Aegean Sea region of Greece and Turkey, took possession of the Canaanite sea coast from Gaza to Joppa that would be in the area of Tel Aviv today.  GENESIS 9.18, GENESIS 10.6, 14

But the Canaanites had an abominable worship system. Their religion was an abomination in the sight of GOD.

But this was also the Land that GOD would give to His Jewish People.  A Land, GOD said, that is the Glory of all lands.

But GOD would not bring His People into that Glorious Land until the iniquity of the Canaanites was complete.  That is to say, when GOD said, enough.  Enough of their sin.  EZEKIEL 20.6, GENESIS 15.13-16

(GENESIS 15.16)  The fourth generation is 400 years of slavery.  A generation back then was 100 years.

The Amorites is a term for all the Canaanite nations in the land of Canaan.

This prophesy of The LORD GOD was made some 700 years before the Children of Israel conquered the land of Canaan.

And The LORD made a Covenant with Abraham and the Jewish People the same day describing the borders of their Homeland Israel.  From a river in Egypt to the Euphrates River.  The entire land of Canaan.  GENESIS 15.17-21

And here are some of the abominations of the Canaanites.

They worshiped many gods.  And they worshiped idols. They practiced human sacrifice and sacred prostitution, and serpent worship.  Their worship included divination which is witchcraft.  And they were observers of times, a practice of magic.  They used enchanters who practice magic spells. And charmers who are mediums that consult with demons. And wizards who practice magic arts.  And sorcerers who deal in magic through evil spirits.  And witches who deal in sorcery and evil spirits.  And necromancy, consulting with the dead.  And diviners who practice witchcraft.

GOD calls them all abominations.  And because of their abominations, GOD drove the Canaanites out of their land from before the Children of Israel.

Those Canaanite nations no longer exist.  DEUTERONOMY 18.9-14

Let’s return to NUMBERS 13.25-33 and NUMBERS 14.1-5.

The Children of Israel lost faith in The LORD THEIR GOD Who just two years earlier had delivered them from Egyptian bondage with a mighty Hand.  And performed great miracles and wonders that the People saw with their own eyes.  And when push came to shove, they lost faith. It’s normal.  It’s unfortunate.  But losing faith happens.

How often do we lose faith when we must face a problem? Or when we are confronted with a crucial situation?

Just two years earlier, the Children of Israel saw with their own eyes what The LORD THEIR GOD did to the Egyptians to cause them to let His People Go.  And GOD miraculously opened the Red Sea for His People to cross on dry ground. And when the entire Egyptian army charged after the Jewish People in the divided Sea to kill them, GOD dropped the ocean on them, killing the entire Egyptian army.

And now two years later, the People are scared to go in and possess the land of Canaan because the Canaanites are too strong.  The cities are walled and great.  We are not able to go up against those people because they are stronger than us.  And their men are giants.  And we are in their sight as grasshoppers.

Lack of faith.  We all experience it at one time or another.

But we have GOD in Heaven.

He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

And He promised to give His Jewish People this Land for our Homeland.

And GOD has given the Land to the Jewish People as He promised.

But Caleb and Joshua were confident in The Holy One of Israel.  Caleb said. “Let us go up at once and possess the Land for we are able to overcome it.”  And both Joshua and Caleb said, “If The LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into the Land and give it to us.  A land that flows with milk and honey.”  NUMBERS 13.30, NUMBERS 14.8-9

(NUMBERS 14.9)  FOR THE LORD IS WITH US.  FEAR THEM NOT.

THOSE ARE WORDS YOU SHOULD REMEMBER ALL YOUR LIFE BECAUSE THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU FOREVER.  HE WILL NEVER ABANDON YOU.

THE TITLE OF THIS MESSAGE IS, “CAN YOU BY SEARCHING FIND OUT GOD?  CAN YOU FIND OUT THE ALMIGHTY UNTO PERFECTION?”

NO, we cannot by searching find out GOD.  Nor can we find out The Almighty unto perfection.  Because the secret things belong to GOD though whatsoever is under the whole Heaven belongs to GOD.  DEUTERONOMY 29.29, HEBREW BIBLE DEUTERONOMY 29.28, JOB 41.11

But the mighty power of GOD is not a secret.  We see His great power every day.  His secret is how He does it.

But GOD’s Word is not a secret.  Because we know that every Word and every Promise that THE LORD OUR GOD makes, GOD carries out to perfection.

Thus we can rely on every Word that GOD speaks.  Every Word of GOD that is written in The Bible.  Whether He carries out His Word in a moment or over time, we can always rely on GOD’S Word.

How He performs the great power of His Word is His secret. But be sure He performs it.  GOD’S wisdom and knowledge, His understanding and mercy have no limitations.  His riches are without end.  Thus our trust should always be in The LORD OUR GOD.  He is our Strength.  He is our Deliverer.  And He is our Salvation

So yes, the secret things belong to GOD.  But those things that GOD reveals to us and to our children forever is that we should do all the Words of His Torah, His Law of Moses.

That is a must in the sight of GOD for all mankind.

And GOD’S Law of Moses includes faith in The Messiah Yeshua for your Atonement.  JOB 11.7-9, JOB 37.5, 23, ISAIAH 40.28-31, ROMANS 11.33-36, DEUTERONOMY 29.29, Hebrew Bible DEUTERONOMY 29.28

So yes, the secret things belong to GOD.

When GOD was on earth in the Person of Messiah Yeshua, and He spoke to GOD The Father in Heaven, knowing there is only ONE GOD, we may not understand.

BUT WE KNOW THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD.

That is what The Bible teaches from the Lips of GOD.  We may not understand, but we must believe GOD that there is ONLY ONE GOD and no others.

Not three different gods as the trinity falsely teaches.

Yeshua The Messiah is that one GOD.  He is GOD The Father. He is GOD The Son.  He is GOD The Messiah.  He is GOD The Spirit.  He is GOD The Holy Spirit.  They are all one and the same GOD because GOD Himself teaches that in The Bible. There is only one GOD.  And His Name and Title is Yeshua The Messiah.  HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY.

Though the secret things belong to GOD, GOD’S Word is not a secret.

And GOD commands you to do all the Words of His Torah, The Law of Moses, though most Bible teachers teach differently.  But GOD ALMIGHTY, YESHUA THE MESSIAH Who gives you Deliverance and Salvation commands you to do all the Words of His Torah, His Law of Moses so that it will go well with you, and with your children after you.

And that you may prolong your days upon the earth which The LORD YOUR GOD gives you forever.

Shalom.  Our teaching will continue from Torah, The Law of Moses from Numbers 12.1-16.

AND THE TITLE OF OUR MESSAGE IS, GOD SPOKE TO MOSES FACE TO FACE.  AND MOSES SAW MESSIAH YESHUA, THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

And with that said, let’s read Numbers 12.1-16.

Miriam and Aaron, Moses’ sister and brother attacked Moses because he married an Ethiopian woman.  She was not Jewish.

And they also came against the authority and leadership of Moses whom GOD had chosen.  And they questioned his role as GOD’S unique Prophet, a one of a kind Prophet of GOD.  And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, saying, “Has The LORD indeed spoken only by Moses?  Has He not also spoken by us.”

AND THE LORD HEARD IT.

Moses’ wife Zipporah was a Midianite.  After Abraham’s wife Sarah died, Abraham married Keturah.  And they named one of their children Midian who became the father of the Midianites.  And through their lineage from Abraham, the Midianites had Jewish blood as Zipporah, Moses’ wife had Jewish blood.  GENESIS 24.67, GENESIS 25.1-2, EXODUS 2.11-21

Moses knew exactly where he was going when he fled from Pharaoh.  He walked through the wilderness to Midian knowing the Midinites were of Abraham having Jewish blood.  Zipporah had Jewish blood.  And she might have been Jewish in the eyes of GOD.

But it is also possible that the Ethiopian woman whom Moses married was his second wife after Zipporah died. The Ethiopian woman was a Cushite having no Jewish blood in her.

For Miriam and Aaron, it was none of their business.  They should not have attacked Moses, GOD’S anointed.

However, Moses being the Godly Man that he was, married an Ethiopian woman who was like Ruth, a Moabite Gentile, the daughter-in-law of Naomi, an Israeli Jewish Woman. RUTH 1.16

Ruth said to her mother-in-law Naomi, Where you go, I will go.  And where you lodge, I will lodge.  Your People shall be my People, and your GOD MY GOD.

However The LORD GOD does say that Jews should not marry non-Jews because the non-Jew will turn away the Jewish husband, or the Jewish wife from following The GOD of Israel, and they will turn and serve other gods.  DEUTERONOMY 7.1-4

But you might say that Christians follow the same GOD as Jewish People.  That is not true.

BECAUSE THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE CHURCH IS NOT THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE BIBLE.

THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE CHURCH HAS ABOLISHED THE ENTIRE LAW OF GOD, THE LAW OF MOSES.  THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE CHURCH HAS ABOLISHED GOD’S SABBATH. THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE CHURCH HAS ABOLISHED GOD’S FESTIVALS AND HIS FOOD LAWS.  THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE CHURCH HAS ABOLISHED GOD’S TEACHINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS.

AND THE MAJORITY OF CHRISTIANITY HAS MADE THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE CHURCH ANOTHER god SEPARATE AND DIFFERENT FROM THE FATHER IN THEIR TRINITY.

THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE CHURCH IS NOT THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE BIBLE.

THE JESUS CHRIST OF THE BIBLE IS GOD ALMIGHTY, THE FATHER WHOSE WORD AND LAW STAND FOREVER.

However there are conditions where GOD allows His Jewish People to marry Christians or other Gentiles.  Paul explains in EPHESIANS 2.11-16

EPHESIANS 2.11-12  Gentiles were without Messiah being aliens and alienated from being Citizens of Israel.  And alienated from the Covenants of Promise.  That is The Covenants of GOD.  Having no hope, and without GOD in the world.

(Ephesians 2.12)  Commonwealth in Greek as in the Commonwealth of Israel is POLITEIA meaning Citizenship.

EPHESIANS 2.13  But now in Messiah Yeshua, Gentiles who were far off are made near by the blood of Messiah.

Question.  How do you come near to GOD by the blood of Messiah?  The Answer is found in ACTS 2.37-38.

ACTS 2.37-38  Coming near to GOD requires Repentance. Repentance, according to GOD’S instructions, is explained in EZEKIEL 18.21

EZEKIEL 18.21  Repentance is Turning or Repenting from all your sins of breaking The Law of Moses, 1 John 3.4, followed by keeping all GOD’S Statutes and doing that which is lawful and right.

DOING THAT WHICH IS LAWFUL AND RIGHT IS OBEYING ALL GOD’S LAWS, TEACHINGS, AND INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES.

THE LAWS THAT GOD ALMIGHTY, THE MESSIAH YESHUA GAVE TO MOSES FOR ALL MANKIND.

AND GOD SAYS, “YOU SHALL SURELY LIVE.  YOU WILL NOT DIE.”

THAT IS BIBLICAL REPENTANCE AS GOD ALMIGHTY TEACHES.  AND GOD ALMIGHTY IS YESHUA THE MESSIAH, THE FATHER, THE ONE AND ONLY GOD.

BACK TO ACTS 2.38  After faith in Messiah Yeshua, and Repenting according to GOD’S instructions, You must be immersed in water, that is baptized in The Name of Messiah Yeshua for the forgiveness of your sins.  And listen.  Then you will receive The Holy Spirit.

BACK TO EPHESIANS 2.13  So now you are near to GOD because of your Atonement in Messiah Yeshua.  You have Repented according to GOD’S instructions.  You have been baptized into The Name of The Holy One of Israel, The Messiah Yeshua for the forgiveness of your sins.  And you have received The Holy Spirit.

You are now a Citizen of Israel, having the Covenants of Promise.  Having hope in The LORD.  And having The LORD as your GOD.

And you can marry a Jewish Person with GOD’S blessings.

EPHESIANS 2.14  Messiah Yeshua is our peace Who has made both one.  The Jewish Person, and the Gentile who both have faith in Messiah Yeshua for Atonement, and live by Torah, GOD’S Law of Moses.  There is now no middle wall of partition between the two.

EPHESIANS 2.15  The Messiah Yeshua has abolished in His Flesh the enmity, that is to say, the opposition and hatred that Christians and Gentiles have against GOD’S Law of Moses.

BECAUSE MESSIAH YESHUA, GOD ALMIGHTY COMMANDS YOU TO LIVE BY TORAH, THE LAW OF MOSES THAT IS WRITTEN IN THE FIRST FIVE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE.  AND YOU OBEY HIM.  LUKE 8.21, ETC., ETC., ETC.

And Messiah has made in Himself one new man.  The Jewish Person who believes in Messiah Yeshua for Atonement, and lives by Torah.  And the Gentile who believes in Messiah Yeshua, and lives by Torah, The Law of Moses.  So making peace.

Enmity in Greek is ECHTHRA meaning opposition and hatred.

EPHESIANS 2.16  Messiah Yeshua reconciles both the Jewish Person and the Gentile/Christian to GOD in one body by the cross, that is by His Atoning Death, having killed and destroyed the hatred and opposition that Christians and Gentiles have against GOD’S Law of Moses.

Now You obey GOD’S Laws, Teachings and Instructions.  And GOD’S Laws are your delight.

Those are GOD’S instructions allowing a Jewish Person to marry a Gentile.

NUMBERS 12.3  The Bible says that Moses was very meek, more so than any other man on earth.

Meek in Hebrew is AH’NAHV also meaning humble. Humble means submissive.

In the personality of Moses, Moses was submissive and obedient to every Word, Law, Teaching, and Instruction of The LORD GOD.  And there was no pride in him.  That is the type of person after GOD’S own heart.  But yet Miriam and Aaron still chose to come against Moses, the Servant of GOD.

AND GOD HEARD IT.

NUMBERS 12.4-5  And The LORD spoke suddenly. Immediately.  Seriously to Moses and Aaron, and to Miriam, Saying, “Come out you three to the Tabernacle of the Congregation.”  And they came out as GOD commanded.

And this is something you might want to picture in  your mind.

The LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood in the door of the Tabernacle.

GOD ALMIGHTY, YESHUA THE MESSIAH, THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH STOOD IN THE DOOR OF THE TABERNACLE IN HUMAN FORM.

AND HE CALLED AARON AND MIRIAM.  AND THEY CAME FORWARD, AND STOOD BEFORE GOD.

NUMBERS 12.6-10  And GOD said to Aaron and Miriam, “Hear now My Words.  If there is a Prophet among you, I will make Myself known to him in a vision, and I will speak to him in a dream.”

My servant Moses is not so who is faithful in My house.” That is, GOD can trust Moses.  He is dependable and reliable.  He is devoted and dedicated to GOD.  And GOD has full confidence in Moses.

With Moses, GOD said, “I speak Mouth to mouth.”  That is, I speak to Him Face to face.  I am plainly in view for Moses to see Me.  And I do not speak to him in riddles.  And he sees Me as I AM in Human Form.

“WHY THEN WERE YOU NOT AFRAID TO SPEAK AGAINST MY SERVANT MOSES?”

And the anger of The LORD was hot against Aaron and Miriam.  And GOD departed.  And the cloud departed from off the Tabernacle.  And Miriam was struck with leprosy. And Aaron turned to her and saw that she was leprous.

For an idea of what GOD possibly looked like, and how He might have sounded when He spoke to Aaron and Miriam, turn to REVELATION 1.9-16

NUMBERS 12.11-16  So Aaron cried out to Moses, “My lord, I beg of you, don’t lay this sin on us which we did foolishly. Don’t let her be as one who is dead that comes out of her mother’s womb with half her flesh eaten away.”

And Moses, who had been silent to this point while GOD defended him, cried to The LORD, “Heal her now O GOD.  I beseech Thee.”  I am pleading with You.

And The LORD said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days?  Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that, let her be received again.”

And the People, some three million, remained camped in their tents and did not journey while Miriam was shut out of the camp seven days.  And when she was brought back again after seven days, healed and healthy, the Children of Israel continued their journey to The Promised Land.

GOD continued to lead His People, teaching them His Ways, and Protecting them from evil.

But why was Miriam struck with leprosy, and not Aaron?

Because it is possible that Miriam instigated the attack on Moses, and Aaron agreed.

The word “Spoke” in Numbers 12.1, as in, ” Miriam and Aaron Spoke against Moses,” The word “Spoke” in Hebrew is T’DAH’BAYR which is of feminine gender.  And the placement of Miriam before Aaron in the verse speculates that Miriam started the whole thing, and Aaron agreed, and went along with her.  Thus Miriam received the greater punishment.  Leprosy for seven days, and being shut out of the camp for seven days.

But here is The GOD of Creation, Yeshua The Messiah Who created Heaven and earth and all that is in them paying personal and intimate attention to an incident that might seem trivial, but could have led to serious trouble had GOD not interceded personally with Miriam, Aaron, and Moses.

Thus GOD spoke to them Face to face.  Explaining to Miriam and Aaron why they were wrong.  And He punished Miriam.

I think of the Words that Messiah spoke.  “Be therefore perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect.”  Being perfect in GOD’S eyes is obeying Torah, His Law of Moses.  And Torah includes faith in The Messiah Yeshua for Atonement.

The point is this.  GOD wants us to honor Him, and fear Him along with respecting Him.  He wants us to obey Him, because He teaches throughout The Bible that all mankind should live according to His ways and not the ways of the world.  The world does not know GOD because they do not obey GOD.  But we know GOD, and we obey GOD.  And that’s what GOD requires of us.  And to love Him with all our heart, and all our soul.  And to keep His Commandments, all His Laws that are written in The Law of Moses, the Servant of GOD.

Remember.  We are of GOD, not of the world because we live by Torah GOD’S Law of Moses.  The world does not.

Forgiveness is another teaching in this study.  The LORD and Moses forgave Miriam and Aaron.
